**urgent. Caught Shoplifting Around 20$ Gave The Bag Back But They Have My Info.

If you find a $20 bill on the ground and there’s nobody around, is it morally right to keep it, or should you try to find the person that lost it?

Here are the rules that I heard about what to do if you find a lost object. If you find a lost object you should try to find the owner. If the object has no special features, such as a plain black umbrella and was found just lying on the floor near the street, then you just became the proud new owner of an umbrella. If it is something that has a distinguishable sign then you have more to do. An example of a distinguishable sign is something like intials on the item or even where the item was found if the location is a strange one for that item. For the item that can be distinguished, you should try to find the owner and advertise that it was found. The key is not to give too much detail away so the owner can identify the object in a way no one else could. For example: If you found a wallet with a Batman symbol on it, advertise that a wallet was found. If someone comes to claim it you should ask them to describe the wallet so you can ensure that they are the true owner. If you found a specific amount of money in a strange location, such as $33 on the floor of the cafeteria, you should once again advertise that some amount of money has been found. If someone can correctly identify the amount (and maybe the location), then it's theirs. If a week goes by without anyone claiming it you can assume that the person has “disowned” the money and no longer expect to get it back. In that case you may keep the money. In your case about $20, if it was found in a location that was nothing special, such as on the street, then you may keep it because no one would be able to prove that it had been theirs. If you really feel bad about taking the money, then donate it.Hope that helps!Stay sharp. Stay safe.

What should you do if you are wrongly accused of stealing?

I AM NOT A LAWYER. THIS IS NOT LEGAL ADVICE.Wrongfully accused or innocent? Were you arrested and charged with a crime or did someone eat the last package of cupcakes? To me, “Wrongfully accused” means “guilty with blurred evidence”. 2 words now equal 4 and the GAME begins. “Inocent”, one word! Never offer more than necessary. If you need a muzzle buy one!If you have been charged with a crime keep your mouth shut and contact a lawyer ASAP. And NEVER, and I mean never, say “wrongfully accused” again. In a court of law WORDS begin to defy both physics and definition. I'd suggest hitting a law library to educate yourself concerning your charges and the punishments they may carry. Discuss your case with your lawyer only, and ask questions. Take part in your defense BEFORE entering a court room.Unless you are wealthy you will be propositioned to trade that innocence for quick resolution to avoid a financial boondoggle. For guilty people plea court could be beneficial. For innocent people of modest means this can become a nightmare. And guess what? Nobody cares.I have been a successful fool! I'm currently reprising my role as “The Fool”. DO NOT BE A FOOL!…and if you are guilty???? Hold yourself accountable, take personal responsibility, and be a god damn man.

When is it okay to keep something you find?

I find stuff ALL THE TIME. I guess I just look at the ground a lot, I don't know. I've found multiple phones, a passport, money, a purse, etc, and most of the time these items are expensive. I do my best to return these items to their rightful owner whenever possible. I would want someone to do the same for me. Most of the time it's easy to find the owner. If I find something in a restaurant/at school/ at a club/amusement park etc, I bring them to the front desk or the lost and found. Most phones have "mom" or "home" so I will call that number. If it's locked wait for the phone to ring. It will. I've been rewarded $50 for the return of a phone (but I never expect anything in return).  Purses and wallets usually have ID or a bank card/library card. It's usually easiest to bring it to the bank that they are at instead of going to their house or work.Expensive items or items of great importance (passport,, watch, engagement ring) usually have the owner looking for them. Keep an eye out for posters looking for the lost item. You can always put up a VAGUE sign saying you found a watch and if you can describe it then you cam have it back. My dad found and engagement ring and posters went up EVERYWHERE. She rewarded him $500zSome items aren't worth advertising. An inexpensive necklace? Keep. Book left on the beach? Keep. If you find money on the ground in a public place, if you don't take it someone else will. I found money three times at tourist attractions and it could belong to anyone. I kept it. I found a wad of twenties on the floor at the cash at Starbucks. I gave it to the manager with my phone number. The owner of it did come back for it. If an item costs more than $50 and/or takes minimal effort to return to its owner, I do my best to return it/turn it in. Most people are over the moon excited when you return things they lost. They enjoy them much better than I would.

My wife takes money out of my wallet without telling me. What should I do?

A friend of mine had narrated an incident of his uncle and aunt. His aunt used to take money from his uncle’s wallet whenever he used to go to take bath. His uncle had a practice and habit to prepare his wallet for the day after calculating expenses that he might incur in travelling to his workplace and for his food expenditures there. Almost everyday he noticed the shortage of cash in his wallet. He then found out that it is his wife who has been taking this money from his wallet. Before screaming at the culprit, he just made an effort to learn the reason for which she is taking money. He learnt that she was buying stationery for her crafts work which she used to work on at her free time. Now comes the best part. Obeying her pass time habit, his uncle started calculating his expense along with the money his wife might take and keep extra amount for her in the wallet. After couple of months, his wife started earning with her crafts work which she had been doing. After that, she stopped taking money. His uncle has explained this incident to my friend and said that he understood the dependant vulnerable behaviour of his wife and he was empathetic towards it. He had said that he even felt that there was a disconnect between him and his wife that even after years of their togetherness, his wife didn’t have that comfort to ask him money for her expenses.Bottom line : If you know that your wife is really in need of money and if that is something which is for her recreation, enjoyment or well-being, allow her to take those money from your wallet. These kind of sweet secrets will bloom the bonding between you.

What are some characteristics of meth addicts?

Rather than the obvious signs of the homeless rock-bottom addict, perhaps it may be more useful to see some of the earlier subtle signs:-Weight loss despite junk food diet. They may appear pleasantly trim.-Bad skin-Very talkative, full of ideas. Can be intellectually interesting and engaging but at some point it feels they are talking at you more than with you.-No meaningful follow through on said big ideas.-Prone to irrational shifts into angry outbursts. These can be very quick and weird in normal conversation. -vanishing, unreliable to time commitments... Like not answering the phone all weekend, with vague explanations. In reality they were asleep for 3 days.-strange tooth decay, like along the sides of the front teeth. Teeth ground down.-hypersexual at times in risky ways-extremely clean house. Spotless bathrooms and kitchens. And yet there may be a nasty pile of junk hidden somewhere with piles of unfinished projects and found objects -spastic bird-like motions. If they are into dancing this might seem normal -rapid shifts in mood. They may go from sluggish and grumpy to quick and talkative after a short bathroom break.-weird hours in general. Like texting you at 5am with some sort of question -paranoid delusions. This doesn't have to be conspiracy theories and mind control, it could be extreme jealousy and accusations directed at you. Then it may get weirder with obsessions that various people or entities are watching them.-fascination with parts of objects.Contrary to expectations, there are severe meth addicts out there who hold down jobs and the appearance of normal life. In fact meth is a drug that can actually increase brain speed and productivity. Meth users are not stupid while high, but they end up irrational. They are dimwitted only when coming down. This makes the addiction very insidious as the addiction outsmarts the addict and the people around them in subtly sophisticated ways.

When should you not file a police report for a stolen item under X amount of dollars, especially if you don't know who stole it, and the dollar amount is not large?

To be as honest as I can be. It depends on what was stolen and where from. House, car that has been broken into. Report it. You would be surprised at the number of finger prints can be retrieved. But if it’s a bag in your car and you left the door unlocked or your a JC pennies and you leave you purse on the counter and when you turn around your purse with your cash in it was stolen. As long as it’s not $5000 and more like $60. Then don’t bother. You have to look at the totality of the circumstances. There will be no prints. Your purse will be taken and tossed some distance away with the cash and any other valuables gone. Cash is not traceable. If they get your DL, social security card , and debit cards by all means report it. If you have a gun taken from under the seat of your car. Report it and by all means you should know the make, model, caliber, and serial number of your weapon. But if you have a package that does not need to be signed for stolen off your front porch. You might a well mark it up as a loss. It will never be seen again. And the company you ordered it from will be no help whatsoever . Mark it up as a loss and figure out a better way for delivery of packages. So to recap. Report it is there is any chance that there might be evidence. But if you lay your sell phone on the counter at wal-mart and then look away for your kids. And when you turn around your phone is gone then there is very little chance of you getting it back so really there is no need to report it.
