How can I self-study AP US History and AP US Government?

Can’t speak for US Government, but I can for US History.US History is simple, but still intensive.Start with a textbook. I highly recommend the 2018 AP US AMSCO textbook.United States History: Preparing for the Advanced Placement ExaminationIt’s an excellent textbook, and will allow you to get the basic events and understanding of a time period. There are plenty of chapter guides online you can print out and finish that will enhance the learning from the textbook. But you need more. Much more. You need to fully understand the thoughts of all the time periods in American History (all nine to ten of them, college board can’t make up it’s mind on how many there are). This part falls on you. You need to dig up primary sources, preferably. Read it and analyse it, preferably in an SAQ format. Do this many times for each time period, and once or twice for each major event. Knowing what public opinion was during each time period is essential.I’ll show you why with an example:That was a SAQ for this year on the AP exam. As you can see, it’s a political cartoon on the meat scandal of 1906. Well, as you can see in example A, you need to know how popular opinion(like this artist’s) in order to even answer the question. For B, you need to know specific events that led to the discovering of the meat scandal: for example, the government. And for C, you need to know about what the public opinion was about this time period again in order to answer it.However, not only do you need that for the essay questions, but also for the multiple choice questions. Because they are all stimulus based. You have to know about certain societal or governmental mindsets or actions, in order to A) logically conclude on one of the answers or B) Know what societal mindsets caused certain actions(where you cannot logically guess and you need the information.)Also, all of that, and the fact is that John Green Crash Course US History is your best freind.Seriously. It’s an excellent review source, or overview source if you want to start each period with it.(That’s the basics, will add to this)

AP US history teaches you the history from colonial United States until present day US.
AP Government teaches you the different types of government that exist and how you can compare them and how they work.

What was the first U.S. Federal Government website?

Technically, it was the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC), a Dept. of Energy (DOE) funded site, but I think they came in as slac .edu. It was the very first web site in the USA. Stanford is called a contractor in this case (GOCO or FFRDC: Government Owned Contractor Operated or Federall Funded Research and Development Center). This might make, I'm guessing, the next DOE funded site as a .gov (even though it was run by the Univ. of California as maybe Los Alamos (lanl .gov).A colleague helped set up the WhiteHouse. And other Depts. and independent agencies came later.DARPA is a .mil. In Washington DC, there is a Society of History of Government. You might inquire with them. Someone on the IETF might (should) know.

What are some of the most useful U.S. government websites we should visit?

Wow- you guys are extreme :).I agree regarding government inefficiency; but have not the slightest desire to be stateless-Examples that I’ve found useful:An official website of the United States government-IRSU.S. Department of Defense- all kinds of really cool history on there- but also more contemporary information.U.S. Army Center Of Military History- The other services all have one too- great for historical informationNPS.gov Homepage (U.S. National Park Service)Code of Federal Regulations- most aren’t needed; but you should know what they are.

Where can I get ap us history notes?

Why did the us government take down mermaid website?

http://press.discovery.com/ekits/monster...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mermaids:_T...

It was a mockumentry, a fake documentry like the history channels Nesse one.
The site was made up, do you really think that the feds would have allowed the show to even be aired if the Animal Planet scientists had REALLY found a mermaid body?

And here, the people in the film were all actors

Which website displays accurate U.S. Government spending?

There are several, but I like the Treasury. They list almost every piece of information you could need monthly and annually.Monthly Treasury StatementIf you doubt the accuracy of widely published stats, then you’re asking the wrong question.

How can I request my own employment history record from the US Social Security Administration?

Go to ssa.gov and set up an account. It's easy, just follow the prompts. Once you set it up you can get all your info. Including wage history from the first day you worked. It is wise to track your W-2 to the record that is reported to ssa. Plus keeps your info. Current. You can also request your history from the call center I believe but sometimes you wait hours,,,that's why I set up the online account.

How can I pass AP U.S. History?

Okay, well I took APUSH, got an A, and got a 4 on the exam. Here's what I did...
course-notes.org
-this website has chapter outlines among other things for every AP and includes the most common books used in the classes.
collegeboard.com
-when your teacher has you write essays (hopefully they tell you what they are ahead of time), make a teachers account at collegeboard.com with a phony name and such... this will allow you access to all AP essays released by the college board (teachers use the same essays for the topics you are studying) and then look at the one that was given a 9. If you write it at home, reword everything, if its in class, memorize a basic outline.

This is what I did, and honestly, you can call it "cheating", but you can't do well in life without cheating a bit.
