If I own a physical copy of a PS3 game, then buy the digital copy of the exact same game from the PSN store, and then sell my physical copy, will the digital copy recognize and use the saved game data from the physical copy?
It might depend on the game, but I know for example Demon’s Souls digital will not read the saves from my physical copy of the game. I am actually happy about this because it is one of my favorite games of all time, and it allows me to have more characters to play. I hate having to delete a character when I start a new playthrough.

Hello, I have been thinking whether I should buy digitally distributed games or buy physical games. Let's say you buy a game from the ps4 store and then psn shuts down. What will happen to the game? Will it remain on my console or will it go away? Also when psn goes down can i still play the game or do I need to have the online service to play?
Digital or physical console games?
I was wondering what you guys thought about buying games digitally... Is it smart because it's cheaper (only sometimes) and more convenient, or is it a bad idea because you can't resell digital games. One thing to consider is something like the COD AW pre-orders. (Please don't turn this into an argument about COD) I just want the game and the season pass. The Atlas Pro edition comes with the game, the season pass, AND a bunch of physical stuff I DON'T WANT. For $20 cheaper I could get the Digital Pro, which has only the two things I want. However, with that, the game is digital. I think this is a perfect example of the pros and cons. Digital is cheaper (it comes with less unneeded stuff), is WAY more convenient, but I won't be able to resell it, and there is something to say for physically possessing your game. What do you guys think. Which edition do I pre-order, and what type of game in general should I buy? THANKS PEOPLE!
Why do people buy digital games on consoles?
especially on PS4 or Xbox One, you can almost always find the game cheaper used on a disc. even if you live out in a rural area, some online sites like Walmart sells used games online. i only download digital games on Xbox One if it's free. otherwise, I always but them on disc new or used for resale / trade in value. especially if it's an older 360 game that works on xbox one via backwards compatibility, i will buy used if it's not a games with gold and almost always get them under $10 at various stores near me. is it purely for the convenience of downloading digital and not the effort of driving to a local store and checking out prices there? do you buy disc or digital?

Unfortunately that’s not how it works.The disc based version will use the hard-drive and the disc simultaneously for data retrieval, that’s why it needs the disc in the drive. The digital download version needs to be reprogrammed to use only the hard-drive. This means that the coding is different in each version.It’s one of the reasons why the download versions are so expensive. The other reason is greed, but that’s a different question :)If you bought a disc then they can’t let you download the digital version as well. What’s to stop you giving the disc to a friend, so they can do the same? Your friend would essentially get the game for free, so they won’t let that happen.If you want to play games without the disc then you need to purchase the digital download version of the game. That’s the only legal way as far as I know :)Reddit says that you can install from disc, delete the game from your PS4 and then go to your library and get the game again. I recently bought a ps4 and am giving my xbox 360 slim to my little sister for Christmas. I would like to factory reset it so she can customize it like it was brand new. But, there are games I bought on the marketplace on my account that she loves to play like minecraft, skyrim, ect. Is it possibe to reset my xbox but keep those games? Or would she have to use my xbox live account in order to keep them?

A cable Box? Take the A/V cable( yellow/white/red) and plug it into the ps3. Then turn the ps3, the cable box, and the TV on. Get your CABLE BOX remote and find the AV button. Or something on the same lines Hope i helped
