Vision Got Dark And Blurry When Running

Is my cellphone making my vision blurry?

It could be simple eyestrain or it may be that your vision is changing. Eyestrain would be due to your excessive use of the phone. Vision changes wouldn't be due to the phone. I suggest you see an optometrist and have an eye exam, which we should all do every 2 years.

Headache and blurred vision?

I have never suffered from regular headaches or migraines
But recently ive been getting blurred vision in one eye that is always followed by a really bad headache that leaves me feeling sick and dizzy and needing to lie down for at least half an hour
Im reasonably fit and healthy and have no other medical complaints

anyone know what this is?

Why do I get blurry vision when I run?

When ever I run my hardest like a 400 meter dash, I start to lose my vision near the end. zit usally goes away within 10min or so. any idea why? been going on for over a year now, don't have any health problems (Not in the best of shape maybie underweight)

Blurred vision then BAD headache?

Sounds very much like a migraine headache, Sweetie.

Migraine is a type of severe headache that often affects one side of the head. It may be accompanied by nausea, vomiting or increased sensitivity to light. They are one of the most common types of headache.

severe migraine attack can cause a persistent throbbing or pounding pain, with sensitivity to light, sound and movement. The pain may be on just one side of the head, though there may be pressure on both. Attacks last between four and 72 hours. You may also feel nauseous, be sick, have diarrhoea, or feel exhausted.

Some migraine headaches can cause other neurological (to do with the brain) symptoms - called aura. These are usually visual disturbances that start before or accompany the headache, including flashing lights, black spots, zig-zag patterns or distorted vision. You might also get a stiff neck, have tingling or stiff limbs, or have difficulty speaking.

For many, the symptoms are so severe that they are forced to lie down in a quiet dark room and wait until the migraine stops.

Sounds familiar, doesn't it.

You need to go see your doc. There are quite a few different medications to try...and it certainly makes sense to try and figure out if you have any triggers.

I was tortured by migraines for years and it certainly pays to get the best advice and information around.

Why does my vision get blurred after only losing a little blood? Why do my ears ring and why do I feel light-headed?

It sounds like a vasovagal response that is not going all the way to vasovagal syncope (fainting). Vasovagal syncope can be caused by triggers and one of the most common is related to blood (giving, seeing, blood tests, bleeding). You can have vision disturbances and lightheadedness because your blood pressure and most likely your heart rate are going down (which reduces the amount of blood getting to your brain). That happens when the vagus nerve (aka cranial nerve 10) overstimulates the parasympathetic nervous system. The ringing sound in your ears is also caused by this.It is not normally dangerous but if you faint you could possibly hurt yourself. In your case it might be best to put your head down below the level of your heart (head between the knees) and just sit there for a few minutes before you even try to walk. Wait til the vision disturbances and lightheadedness stop before you try to get up.

Can you have blurred vision after an intense workout followed by headache and vomiting?

An episode of nausea and vomiting after exertion could be an episode of cardiac ischemia or an actual heart attack. Blurry vision could represent interrupted blood flow to the brain, either because of the heart’s blunted pumping during heart muscle injury or from a transient ischemic attack (TIA) to the occipital lobe (visual center) of the brain. Brain tumors with the space occupying lesion compressing the corresponding brain area could cause the constellation of symptoms. Other reasons: Alcohol & drugs, medicine side-effects, environmental exposures like carbon monoxide or poisoning such as arsenic from burning treated wood used in decks. Rarer causes: rheumatologic conditions like temporal arthritis, and cerebral vascular malformations/aneurysms. The leaking aneurysm is often described as the “worst headache of my life.” People with a family history of aneurysm will get a screening brain imaging test like a Magnetic Resonance Angiogram (MRA) to check for occult aneurysms. A type of heart rhythm disorder such as supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) must be assessed, if nothing else is discovered. A heart monoitor can be worn for several days to weeks.A cardiac structural disorder that is related to impaired cardiac valvular opening and/or thickening of heart muscle called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and idiopathic hypertrophic subaortic stenosis with systolic anterior motion (IHSS w/SAM) happens, often in otherwise healthy people. It's the main reason high school athlete's get a physical at the doctor’s office to be cleared prior to participation. Even then, if a heart murmur isn't heard, and an echocardiogram done, it still isn't found. The exertion that causes symptoms can be sexual intercourse, which is particularly alarming to both people involved. No one wants a serious consequence, but ask any EMT and you'll hear about pulling a large man off his spouse, pinned underneath after his sudden collapse, in flagrante delicto et coitus interruptus.Ridiculously common conditions like viral infection, dehydration and vasovagal reaction have to be included. But, see to it that this condition is diagnosed.A really likely condition that is often only able to be diagnosed confidently after ruling out the previous list of diagnoses, is ocular migraine, aka silent migraine.Silent migraine

Is it normal to lose your vision when you get a head rush?

yes its normal and it has nothing to do with your eyes.
when we stand up your blood pressure naturally drops. when YOU stand up your blood pressure drops too quickly. vision fade out is normal when this happens cuz its a sign that you are in the process of fainting but then you quickly recover before you actually faint.

if it happens often then you should let your dr know and he can run tests to see if in fact you do have a health problem and can put you on medication to control your blood pressure.

My vision went white, like it was over exposed. What could have happened?

You had what is called a “vaso-vagal response”. It can lead to syncope (fainting) but doesn’t have to.“Episodes of vasovagal response are typically recurrent and usually occur when the predisposed person is exposed to a specific trigger. Prior to losing consciousness, the individual frequently experiences early signs or symptoms such as lightheadedness, nausea, the feeling of being extremely hot or cold (accompanied by sweating), ringing in the ears (tinnitus), an uncomfortable feeling in the heart, fuzzy thoughts, confusion, a slight inability to speak/form words (sometimes combined with mild stuttering), weakness and visual disturbances such as lights seeming too bright, fuzzy or tunnel vision, black cloud-like spots in vision, and a feeling of nervousness can occur as well. The symptoms last for a few seconds before the loss of consciousness (if it is lost), which typically happens when the person is sitting up or standing.” Vasovagal responseRead the article above. It will explain it pretty well.
