War Thunder Gameplay Vs World Of Warplanes

Which game do you like better, War Thunder or World of Warplanes?

World of Warplanes. It’s more arcade game with a lot of fun and action and much easier. The maximum game round is 12 minutes, but it usually less. But it has a lot of bugs, so if you are ok with bugs it is better. There are many bots flying, because there are not enough people.War Thunder is more realistic, there are not only planes, but tanks. Maps are much bigger, planes fly more realistic and harder, same about tanks even in “arcade” mode. Both of them don’t have many people, WoWP because of bugs that very rarely fixed (and when a patch comes out they introduce new bugs, and they are not just cosmetic - it usually black screens, freezes, crashes, disconnects and missions that impossible to complete; usually you can start it again and respawn in the same game; Also you need a powerful CPU, because the game is badly optimized to use a video card/memory), and War Thunder - because it’s too hard and boring.Edit: Also War Thunder has very confusing interface maybe because it has planes, tanks and I think also helicopters now. And they keep historical names for ammo which confuse even more people.

For any world of tanks players, have you ever played War Thunder? If so, which do you prefer?

There is a difference in playstyle when it comes down to playing World of Tanks and War Thunder’s Ground Forces. In World of Tanks, the game is determined by hitpoints, pure RHA (No reactive armor involved whatsoever), “dispersion”. As WoT players know, the smaller the dispersion number is, the more accurate your tank’s gun is. However, this leads to a lot less control as you may get frustrated that where you fire will most certainly get toyed around by the RNG in the system. But in a game of numbers, you become a lot more satisfied when you can deal numerical damage and kill an opponent without caring too much about modular damage. Now, War Thunder….In War Thunder, the game is about modules and generally more realistic than World of Tanks. When I say “modules”, I mean, “No more hitpoints. You get to know the inside of your enemy’s vehicle and you have to know where to hit to catch them”. World of Tanks players may find it annoying if their enemies manage to hit the right spot on their frontal plate (i.e. driver’s view port) and killed the entire crew (and the tank). As a sidenote, War Thunder games tend to last longer than World of Tanks games as you are allowed to respawn three times (at least in Arcade Battles) with three different vehicles while you only get one chance in a game in World of Tanks.Personal Opinion:I would pick War Thunder after succumbing to World of Tanks gameplay (Played two years of WoT before trying out War Thunder). While I have both games, I felt that my time in WoT is determined by RNG and dispersion, resulting in me feeling that I don’t do enough damage in battles (I have an awful WN8 score and winrate). In War Thunder, I find myself much more comfortable as damage becomes more logical and every shot I make is my own. The frontal plate of a tank may seem as one piece in WoT, but not in War Thunder. If we use a Panzer IV as an example, shooting the turret’s front is no longer about hitpoints, it’s now about killing the crew that operates the tank, and that makes me feel like I’m doing proper damage.I would recommend that you keep both games. War Thunder can give you the satisfaction of actually punching through armor and killing crewmen and breaking modules, while World of Tanks can give you the satisfaction of having a high number of damage dealed, blocked, or assisted.

Is World of Tanks better than Warthunder?

It depends on how you measure goodness.World of Tanks is played by more people and makes more money.Warthunder has better visuals, allows players to do more than just drive tanks. It’s a better simulation of fighting with ww2 weapons systems than World of Tanks. The very gamey constraints that limit its ability to compete at the simulation level World of Tanks is a deeper, more complex skill game and cultivates higher levels of competitive play.Even tho Warthunder has its arcade mode as a nod to mimicking World of Tanks, they are very different games.Warthunder comes from a legacy of action sim games.World of Tanks is really just an extension of Counter Strike with tanks and lots of “characters.”If you find one game better than the other I would guess it says more about you as a player than it does about either of the two games.

What are the pros and cons of World of Warplanes?

Pros:Planes have realistic names, every plane has unique gameplayThere are many prototype planes,The game has easy and simple interface - similar to Wot and WowSThe gameplay is fun and fast - no flying for 10 min. like in WarThunderNo G-Forces to interfere with flying and fighting.Altitude compression - no flying to 10km altitude, usually everyone spawns at 1km, and highest about 3km.No Take off or landing.Free xp and gold can be used from World of TanksPossible to make game with bots in team training modeGame loads fastEndless ammo in the battle, but guns overheat and shoot more slowly if shot a lotCons:No bombers, only attack planes like IL-2 and JU-87Economics like in WOT, but only one kind of special ammo can be bought for credits, gold ammo is gold onlyRealism is questionable - view only from outside, no cockpit, planes have health points, g-forces not there.Bots along with people playing in random battles, sometimes bots are strong, but it’s randomLong waiting times in queue because of not many people.FPS drop on some maps even on most powerful computers. Because some maps are not optimized.Graphics - some people dont like it.

What is a more entertaining game, War Thunder or World of Tanks?

Original question: What's the different between World of Tanks and Warthunder?Notice: I will only be talking about War Thunder Ground Forces.Short Answer: War Thunder is a realistic arcade game while World of Tanks is an Arcade game.Long Answer:I call War Thunder a realistic arcade game even though some people claim it to be a simulator is because there are real tank simulator games that exist that is nothing like War Thunder. One example is Steel Beasts. These games are real simulators that require lots of patience and aren’t catered to the bigger audience because of its very complex user interface.(Steel Beasts)War ThunderWar Thunder has an arcade interface and control, but its battle experience is a lot more realistic. If you are a patient player and want to experience a more realistic combat environment, choose War Thunder. Here is where you can apply real camouflaging techniques and battle tactics that require opponents to identify each other with visual contact. Shots are also more realistic, which means that you can either get one shotted or hit someone else 10 times without killing them.Pros:Realistic combat environmentAerial combat, artillery fireSimilar to real world fighting styles (tactics, camouflaging)Cons:Long battle timesYou can go long periods without seeing the enemyBig maps mean enemies and duals are often very spread out.World of TanksWorld of Tanks is obviously an arcade style game. It is fast paced and maps are smaller and corridor oriented, which means you’re guaranteed to meet the enemy and fight in one way or another. However, it relies heavily on RNG, which means mechanics such as spotting, camouflaging, armor penetration, etc are a bit more random and require lots of understanding and getting used to, as it's not very straightforward compared to the more realistic mechanics of War Thunder. Also, it relies on a hitpoint and module mechanic, so fighting other tanks is nothing like real combat.Pros:Fast-paced combat15-minute roundsGuaranteed to meet the enemyHitpoint systemCons:Ultra unrealisticMany paper tanksHitpoint systemRNG mechanicsThis is pretty much a short summary as I’m kind of busy at the moment, but if you have anymore questions feel free to message me as I have played both games before enough to give my advice based on your personal preferences.

Why is War Thunder considered better than World of Tanks and World of Warplanes?

War Thunder is considered superior to World of Warplanes by most players who have played both, including myself. I would suggest that the reason is that War Thunder has nailed the flight model and feels far more dynamic and real. The other issue is that the hit point gameplay feature felt quite odd for aircraft after playing War Thunder. The visuals of World of Warplanes were considered inferior to War Thunder as well. World of Tanks however lends itself better to the Hit Point system. War Thunder Ground Forces style of gameplay has attracted a far smaller player base than World of Tanks, so I think it's not fair to say War a Thunder Ground Forces is superior to Workd of Tanks. Quite the reverse actually.
