Warped Tour And Sunburn

What to Know About Vans Warped Tour?

So, I'm planing on going to the Vans Warped tour in Mass this July. What should I be expecting?
I know these things so-far.

Bring:
A light backpack (free stuff!)
sunscreen
money (hidden in my bra or shoe)
charged cell phone
small camera with extra batteries
sunscreen chapstick
small snack (granola/energy bars)
sealed water bottle
sharpie/pen
hand sanitizer

Clothes To Wear:
Loose fitting shirt (light colored)
shorts
sneakers
no jewelry
no heavy make-up
tie my hair back

Things To Do:
check set times once i get in the gates.
get to the tour 4-5 hours early (the 1st bands starts playing right away, so I want to be further ahead in the line).
speed over to the stage exit door to catch my fav band so I can snag a picture after the concert.
get to the band signing tents about 1 - 1 1/2 hours early.
Drink lots of water.

Also: should I be worried about tickets being sold out?

What else should I know?
Thank you!

How do I survive my first trip to the Vans Warped Tour?

First you'll need your ticket. Don't buy the ones at the event because those are most likely scams for money. Make sure to bring sunscreen, a hat, phone (charger), metallic and black Sharpies, and money. Food costs around $25, shirts are $20, autographs are around 3-5 dollars. Everything is pricey so I would suggest bringing extra money. I also don't recommend moshing if you haven't tried it before; it could result in serious injury. Wear shorts, a short sleeve shirt, and vans shoes. Earplugs are a good way to hear after the event and drink lots of water. If you bring 3 cans to Warped, you will be able to skip the line and get in faster. Most of all, have fun!

How to sneak alcohol into warped tour?

its in the Comcast center in Mansfield, MA.
can i bring unopened bottles?
i wanted to put alcohol in bottles of water. would i be able to even bring them in?
is there reentry?
i heard of rinsing out a sunscreen bottle and putting alcohol in that, but idk if i should really do it.
i dont want to pregame that much and make it obvious im drunk

Is the San Antonio Warped Tour at the AT&T Center indoors?

It is an indoor venue and they are selling AT&T Center parking, which leads me to believe that it is inside, yet they recommend using sunscreen liberally. I have been to the Warped Tour at the Verizon Wireless, but not since the venue change. Has anyone been to the San Antonio date at the AT&T Center that can tell me?

My sunburn peeled because of high impact and started to ooze. wondering why.?

Ok first lets explain what a blister is. A blister forms when the temperature of a select area becomes too hot. The heat causes the outer layer of skin to seperate from the dermis. After the seperation your body secretes a sterile liquid to protect the sensitive skin underneath. Peeling off or distrubing the outer blister exposes the raw skin underneath, the same skin that secreted the sterile liquid in the first place.

The skin on the face is thinner and full of more nerves and small veins, afterall your brain lies within your head. Your eyes, nose, mouth and ears. Lots of movement would be hard with thick skin like on the elbows.

The sun beating down passes radiation through your skin into the cells nuclei, denaturing the dna. Your nuclei to prevent further damage, Swells creating the redness of sunburn. As the skin swells it becomes more sensitive to heat and other irritants. Constant bombardment of heat causes for further protection and causes the formation of blisters.

This is the sign that your body is fighting for health and protection. neosporin didnt help you, you werent infected. Do not peel the skin or exfoliate your other skin. This dead skin will fall off when your body is ready for it to, it is acting as a protectant of the newer RAW DAMAGED skin underneath.

Skin cancer is formed because UV rays are have a longer wavelength and can enter the nuclues. It affects the bonds of the sugars and breaks them. As your cells divide to occomidate the damage, the defects are passed into the new cells, since these new cells dont respond like healthy normal cells, it is said that they are now cancerous.

Which foundation would you recommend to cover up a Sunburn/scar?

I went to Warped tour a few days ago, and even after using sun-tan lotion, I got burnt extremely bad on my face. Over the past couple days, a scar has started to form from the sunburn under my right eye. It's extremely noticeable; It seriously looks like I got punched in the face (At least that's what people are telling me).

Anyways, I'm throwing a special birthday dinner for my friend tonight, and a lot of people are going to be there. I'm usually not the person to care about looks or the occasional pimple, but it's been making me uncomfortable lately because everyone is pointing out the horrible sunburn on my face.

I've tried Aloe Vera, but that doesn't really seem to work and always makes me tear up because it burns my skin and hurts really bad. I'm also afraid that I'm going to get a permanent scar from this burn. What should I do?

What's the best foundation that you recommend to cover up this burn?

Thanks so much!
Kate

Reallly bad sunburn, peeling and burning.. ouch.. help?

The color of your skin will change back naturally. What's going on is you baked off the top layers of skin, and the lower layers are new, pink, and not ready to be exposed to the world. That's why it's so sensitive. It will peel, it's supposed to do that. You will rub some off from time to time. That's okay too.

We use Fruit of the Earth aloe gel, because it has no painkiller in it, and therefore you can put it on as often as you want. It's clear, 100% aloe, and I get it at the Walmart. Try a gel that's 98% or higher aloe, no other ingredients if you can get it. You can use Solarcaine or other aloe gel with medicine in it, along with plain, unmedicated aloe gel. Use the Solarcaine-like stuff according to the directions on the bottle, and then use the regular aloe in between, when it gets dry and you need a little extra, but it's too soon to put more medication on the skin.

Drink a glass or so more water than usual. Sunburn is the moisture literally baking out of your skin, so you are dehydrated, whether you feel it or not. Increase your fruits and vegetables, foods that help grow healthy cells. Sunburn is similar to a regular burn, like on an oven or iron, so Aleve may not help as much as ice does. Ice packs probably are working the best for easing the pain right now. Wear a floppy sunhat, or use an umbrella, for going outside for a couple days. Your new, pink skin is too delicate for sunlight, and also too delicate for sunblock.

And yes, if you can call your doctor, do so. They may be able to give you something even better, or they may only tell you to do what you're already doing, but it's worth a try!

The worst of the pain is in the first couple days. It does get better. And next time you go out in the sun, make sure that a water bottle, sunhat and/or umbrella, and sunblock are on your list to take with you! Also, aloe is a very good moisturizer, so if you like it, pick up a spare bottle or two for the more dry winter months. It's better for your skin than most lotions, the moisture gets in more effectively, and all that.
