Yes, but you should probably go with your gut instinct about the situation. The best thing to do is at the end of the interview, when they ask you if you have any questions, ask them if they know when the hiring decision will be made. If they give a specific date, ask if you can have their email address so you can check in with them. If they want you to have it, they will give it to you. If you feel that the interview did not go well and the person seems eggar to get rid of you, it is probably best to pass and send a thank you note.As an aside, it is perfectly ok to mail a thank you note to the person who interviewed you. You should be able to look up the company’s address. Send it after the interview. It is not good to remove eye contact with interviewer when he/she is giving you eye contact. You should only lose eye contact when they for example, look at your resume, but this should only be for a slight second. Do not look completely away and make it obviously, mostly when you are talking to the interviewer.
I changed my mind after cancelling my interview. Should I contact the recruiter to reconsider me?
I cancelled my job interview after realizing that the commute was far but after much research realized that there are many alternate route to the location. The position is a great opportunity for me. It's doing what I really like to do and do best. I am thinking of contacting the HR person to have them reconsider but I'm not sure what kind of a response I would get. Should I ask anyway?
