Question on Andrew Jackson?
can someone please explain to me what was andrew jackson's political,social,and economic beliefs, and explaing to me how those beliefs are reflected in his actions and polices as presiendent?
After the first Seminole war 1817 and 1818 the did the British start the black hawk war in 1832 and the second Seminole war of 1835 to 1842?
this after the British traders were caught in the first Seminole war from 1817 to 1818 by Andrew Jackson and i know that the black hawk s tribe became the British band and that they went to fort maLden and in the first Seminole war the British were blamed for supplying the Indians weapons in 1821 and i do NT if the British did this in the second Seminole war and the black haw war and all i know is that the British and america signed a treaty in 1842
In your opinion, was Andrew Jackson a good or bad man?
Jackson advocated one of the harshest Indian policies of any American leader. He fought Indians during the War of 1812 and Creek Wars and the Seminole War in Florida. Then, as president, he engineered the Trail of Tears. He was almost equally harsh to African Americans. He violated Spanish sovereignty when he invaded Florida to recapture runaway slaves. He was also a slave owner himself. Its my opinion that these traits make him a bad man.
