Are there any fantasy or exotic themed hotel suites in Washington dc?

While there are many great hotels in DC that state THEMED hotel, it is just their common areas. The rooms are not, even though all of them list a "great view".

If you are looking for Aztec Jungle, Utah Canyon, and Pirate Ship type rooms in which to stay - DC unfortunately has NONE. The closest one that I know of is actually in New Jersey.

I'm going to list a web-site for you to look at the photos - If you are asking about the type of rooms I have mentioned and some photos of those type of rooms - then, you will be truly out of luck :(

However, it will give you an alternate place to plan a vacation!

The Best Hotels In Washington, DC  compliment the beauty and culture of the city. Here is the list of some branded hotels in Washington DC - THE HAY-ADAMSFor any tourist wanting a room with a presidential view, the Hay-Adams hotel is the place to stay. Of all the hotels in Washington, the Hay-Adams has the best scenic view of the White House. This beautiful hotel was built in 1920's. How much does a hotel room for 4 people cost in Washington, DC?

Depends on where you want to stay and how nice you’d like it to be.The Mandarin Oriental, a luxury hotel just across the 14th Street Bridge from the Jefferson Memorial, will rent you a two-bedroom suite starting at $700/night.The Washington Court Hotel, a more modest location (though still quite nice, from my recollection), will rent you a single room starting at $194/night.If you don’t mind commuting from the suburbs, there are plenty more options - a Travelodge in Silver Spring, for example, starts at $95/night.Important point: give some thought to where you’ll need to be before you book. If you’re in town to see the Nationals play, consider a hotel closer to the ballpark so you won’t have to fight the crowds on the Metro. Or if you have business out in McLean, consider staying out there - plenty of hotels in the Tysons Corner area, and they’ll be cheaper on the weekends.

What hotels in Washington DC allow smoking?

Posh first, basic last:Fairmont, M & 24 NW - Luxury Hotel in Washington -Fairmont GeorgetownHilton Garden Inn, 14th and K NW - Hotels in Downtown Washington DCHotel Harrington, E & 11 NW - Hotel HarringtonComfort Inn, New York & 16 NE - Page on comfortinn.comSite you might want to bookmark: Smokers United, smoker-friendly travelling and lodging.  They continue to list hotels that have gone 100% non-smoking among those with smoking rooms, but it's still a better starting point than playing random hotel roulette.

What are some of the most affordable hotels near Washington, D.C.?

Wash DC hotels are driven by Government per diem rates…..Monday-Thursday. Not so much on Friday. However, hotels in the area are a shortage. Weekend rates are driven by available. Best to shop early. Try and ask for a corporate or AARP. Discount….never by the first or second rate you get; demand a discount.Choice Hotels International or choicehotels.com has more quality hotels for the price in the TriState area……BTW; AirBnd is an option ..but pricey inside the district and parking is a setback.

What is a good hotel to stay in Washington DC where I can safely walk to restaurants, shops and nearby entertainment?

As in almost every questions about food, drinks, and lodging opinions vary. Almost any of the DC hotels have excellent security. The City is loaded with cops (DC City, Capitol Police, MPs, Secret Service, Transit and security guards), not to mention bouncers at the “younger” spots. Since the safety issue is the same as in every large metropolis just remember. Ask about where you are going. Use Uber or Lyft if you can but unless you are inordinately wealthy don’t hotel park. Anything in the middle of the. City will whack you about $50 a night. Now on to which one? I like the nice smaller hotels around DuPont Circle. From those starting points you would have to live here a decade to fill your personal menu-likes. Same thing for entertainment. There are at least 50 websites with reviews and ratings with the little dollar signs indicating expense-account ceilings to I am only going to be here to shower and change clothes. Save your money for street food, craft beer festivals and 8 months of ethnic, patriotic, ooking contests and every imaginable fair. You will find advertisements galore for concerts, jam sessions, top-billing performances….you could even take in the Kennedy Center and see or hear special acts/shows. (again, take Lyft). Now where were we? Oh yes, hotels. Anybody can tick off the biggies. Look into the The Dupont Circle Hotel; The Churchill, The Baron , The Avenue Suites in G-town. And, one of my favorites for out-of-towners “ AKA the White House.” Remember this. Pick out 2 or 3 and then watch for weekend deals especially, Going against the presumed scarcity of rooms in the nation’s capital there are fewer people when Congress is not in session and the crowds from the hustings are not here to lobby. It is not uncommon to find some 5 star hotels having a two-nite special for half of the normal rack rate. Pick one that has a real complimentary breakfast and not toast and in -the- room coffee.Enjoy yourself! You do not say how long you will be here, but I can tell you this. Too many things to see and do…too little time!

Is this school Washington DC trip worth it?

Let me give you the details.

Round trip airfare,

sightseeing transportation

Course Leader

Four star quality hotel suites

Night chaperons in hotel

All meals

All admissions fees

Evening activities

Accident/health insurance

All this for $2,892.

Is the price worth it? My dad doesn't want me to go because he says it is too expensive, and that if I do go, we are just feeding the school more money, for them to waste.

Although I know my family's yearly income is over six digits, I'm worried about the cost.

Is the price right? Is it too expensive? Please help! The tour company is called World Strides.

With all the recent changes in Washington, D.C., what would you recommend as the best hotel?

If you are here for tourism, look for a hotel closer to a metro station cos many locations in DC are accessible by subway. Most of them in DC are pretty expensive and can run upto $300 a night atleast. I recommend checking out hotels in Arlington/Rossylyn/Ballston if your budget is lower than $200 each night .These areas have a good vibe and though theoritically in VA, they are almost in DC- like a stone's throw away and have good hangout spots and a nice mall which has the metro station attached to it(specifically Fashion center at pentagon city).I can help you better if you can be more specific. For some people, $300 is on the lower end of the spectrum. If that is the case, I'm sure you wouldn't have much trouble finding one on Expedia. If you are looking for a much better place for less than $150, airbnb is your best friend. Also look for a standard holiday inn and extended stay and embassy or hilton suites. Check every hotel on google maps with directions to let's say Metro center subway station(cos it has access to all other subway stations in DC/MD/VA-like a center point) and see how much you may have to walk from the hotel to the subway! Uber rides add up quickly so I would recommend looking at the overall cost rather than a cheap deal. Also, book off-season, winter and early spring and fall, if possible, except holidays. Fridays and Saturday nights are expensive, Thursday and sundays are cheap, other days being weekdays can be expensive for business class hotels.Comment below if you have more information! Happy to help!
