Waxed My Eyebrows And Now They

After i get my eyebrows waxed they itch. do yours?

Yes!! They itch like crazy. Thats why when I get them waxed I ask for a medicated cotton ball when i leave so I can dab at them on my way home. As soon as I get home, I wash my hands really well and then my my face really well (Nothing with hard scrubbers). They itch because it's open skin and then skin has been irritated and it is immiedielty trying to heal up.

Good Luck sweetie!

Waxed eyebrows now breaking out?

The day after I wax the area is usually red and will sometimes be bumpy (I wouldn't say like pimples though, more like hives or something)

But yea, waxing will sometimes leave the skin irritated, though it usually goes away after a day or two. If it's been a week, you may have sensitive skin, or perhaps even an allergy or something. Also, when the hair starts to grow back after waxing, you are more likely to get ingrown hairs, which will look more like pimples, except they're not clogged by dirt and oil, their just clogged by a hair.

I don't know that I would put anything on them or not. I use a little oil after I wax but that's about it. You might be making it worse.

I had my brows waxed once, and I have stuck with plucking and trimming them myself ever since. It's easier and cheaper. If you need a guide just buy some eyebrow stencils (elf sells some for $1) if you need an arch guide. Good luck!

I waxed my eyebrows, now they're all red!?

I got my eyebrows waxed for the second time in my life... the first time I got them waxed, they got all red and bumpy so I put on concealer to cover them and I was stuck with a lot of zits... for awhile! I was so annoyed, and sad about it... so I went for the second time today, and they were SO red, even on my forehead it was all red, I went to the same place, and they put some cleaning stuff on it, but I think it made it worse.. I freaked out, but made sure not to put any concealer on it, because I knew that would make it worse. I took a shower and washed my face and it made it a little better, the redness went down, and there are no bumps anywhere, except there is this one really big bump where my nose meets the in between part of my eyebrows! It's SO embaressing, and I have to go out in public today... how can I get rid of the redness and the bump?? Does this happen to anyone else? And if so, why does it happen? My mom said I've always had sensitive skin, but I don't believe her.

Do i look ugly with my eyebrows wax?

Honey why ask us? It's your face. Soreness and puffiness always happens when you wax, it will go away in a day or so. If you don't like they way they look or you're not feeling that experience of having hairs ripped out of face, then let them grow back. But honestly you have to do what's best for you and not seek answers from random people off the internet about your body.

Is a 12-year-old girl too young to get her eyebrows waxed?

When I was 12, I wanted to wear eye shadow. My mom said that I could wear eye shadow when I started plucking (tweezing) my eye brows. (She thought the pain of tweezing would deter me.)I returned 20 minutes later with "cleaned up" brows and lightly shimmering beige eyelids. My mom was actually PLEASED with the result because my brows were nearly meeting in the middle and were rather thick and straight before. Even when I look at photos of myself from then I think, "I really DID do a good job!"While I don't advocate doing what I did, I honestly don't see a problem with plucking a few hairs to open up her eye area. BUT only with parental consent and ONLY MINIMAL CLEAN UP.I've seen (and personally experienced) "over-zealous" waxing even by pros, but I've also seen pros who can perform magic with extreme precision.I guess my final answer is this:I think 12 is too young for a radical change, but old enough for a little "clean up" to separate them and perhaps open the eye area a little bit if her brows are particularly full.I'd prefer that she undergo tweezing (or perhaps "stringing", although, TBH I am in the minority that finds that method more painful than any other). HOWEVER, if her brows are especially dense, and the waxer is VERY EXPERIENCED and VERY PRECISE, waxing may be okay. But try having them tweezed first.

They keep burning me everytime I get my eyebrows waxed, how can i prevent this?

To prevent this from happening, perhaps you should ask whomever is waxing your eyebrows to not let the wax get too hot. If this happens again, here are some ways to help the burn:

Before you begin to use any products on the open skin, test a small area of your skin to make sure that you are not allergic to any of the products.

Aloe Vera can help to ease the burning and stinging sensation and will also help to heal the eyebrow wax burn. Aloe Vera comes in a gel or you can use the plant, I don't recommend using the cream because it does not work as well as the gel or the plant.

Once you have the Aloe Vera, apply it directly to the eyebrow wax burn and try to avoid getting it into your eye. If you happen to get it into your eye, wash your eye out with water for ten minutes and if this does not help, seek a doctor to have your eye flushed out.
Adding Aloe Vera to the eyebrow wax burn can be done throughout the day and may help in preventing scarring. If you purchase a product that has Aloe Vera in it, try to get it as close to 100% Aloe Vera as possible.

You can also use ice wrapped in a towel as long as the skin isn't broken. The ice will help with the redness and swelling that is caused by the eyebrow wax burn.
