I cant ask her out ON halloween, but around that time. I don't want to seem cheesy and serious, although she does like it when Im cute (like not being a typical frat party guy, and just being sweet and gentle like). But i want to make it unique. I was thinking maybe of getting a small pumpkin and writing something on it? Or maybe get candy corn and write it out. Ive only known her for like 2 months, so I dont want to make it too intense. please any ideas?

No do NOT show off :P its kinda a turn off, just hold her up and if she is a faller then you have it made, as she is falling, you catch her, and look into her eyes, then "Do you want to go out with me" she will be flustered and flattered all at once, if she says yes pick her up, if she says no, let her fall :P (jokes about the last part) If you want to, you can show off JUST A BIT nothing major and dont go more than 5-10 feet away at any time, so NO full tilt around the ice. I am a shy man myself and this is how I think. My answer to your question: no. I do overthink things A LOT, blow it out of proportion in a way. At the end of the day though, I don't like to risk things because I realize that means risking a relationship that I don't even have. I mean, if I really liked you and secretly wished for you to be my girlfriend, I would plan out elaborate things to really impress you. I won't work up to asking you out because I would rather be a secret admirer or be a friend than ask you out, be turned down, and have an awkward encounter each future time. I also try to act cool and just stay kind of quiet around you because I don't want to UNimpress you by saying something wrong or stupid or just plain silly. If I really like you and I think that you are the world, I might set up something silly like a group event where it'll seem like everybody's invited when in reality, all I want is you to be there, and hopefully, then do something to impress you in a clandestine way where I hope you secretly feel the same way I do and am glad to see me there with you. Oh, and of course, everybody that is invited will know the truth except you because again, I'm too shy to risk losing you entirely than at least having you somewhere in my life where I can at least talk to you (even if we rarely see each other or talk to each other).
