Do you like the name Asher?
I ADORE the name Asher. It's my sons name! Well, one of them. It's masculine, under used, uncommon, modern, and not old man like. And I adore the nickname, Ash, as that's what we call him. LOVE this name. Middle name ideas: Asher Liam. --My son's full name. Asher Dean Asher Joel Asher Henry Asher Zachary Asher Caleb --Both my sons' first names/ Asher Nathaniel Good luck. It's a MUCH better choice than Ashton, in my opinion.
I think Piers and Neville are examples of stereotypical British names. What names are similarly representative of other countries?
No, don't agree. 'Piers', is not a common name, it's the kind of name people give their child if they're trying too hard to sound 'posh'.'Neville' on the other hand, almost falls into the Monty Python school of boy's names... I don't now anyone with either name. Of course, there's $%£* Piers Morgan & then there's Neville Chamberlain, (the PM signed the 'peace in our time' document with Adolf Hitler..).Piers & Neville don't even make the top 100. There are some pretty surprising choices in the list, including some diminutives/abbreviations used as given names. So 'Josh' & 'Joshua' appear as separate entries, as do 'Oliver' and 'Olie'! (No sign of 'John', once the UK's most popular boys name). In 2013, the most popular 100 UK boy's names were:Oliver+2Jack+0Charlie+1Harry-3Oscar+13Thomas+1Jacob+2Ethan+0Noah+5James-5William-1Joshua+0George-7 Leo+14Max-2Henry+7Alfie-2Lucas+1Daniel-8Dylan-3Finley+31Alexander+4Freddie+9Isaac-3Samuel-9Joseph-1Archie+6Muhammad+29Benjamin-5Lewis-3Logan+3Matthew+6Sebastian+6Jake+6Edward+13Zachary+18Aidan-17Luke+6Mason+17Riley-17Ryan-6Elliott+9Toby-1Reuben+17Adam-9Theo+16Connor+11Nathan-11Jayden-9Liam-6Harrison-6Sam+4Michael+0Ollienew!
