We Are Approaching The End Of The Most Blessed Days Of The Year - How Will You Catch Up In Good

What does the Bible say about the end of the world?

I've read what the Bible says about Judgement Day. I understood it as only God knows when this will be...that not even the angels know. So why are some people on here saying that the Bible says the world will end in 2012?

Holy crap! How do I approach my crush on the first day for the first of school?! PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!?

Okay, so I'm 14 and I have a HUGE crush on this guy, but I've never talked to him before! On the first day of school, I really wanna approach him and strike a conversation, but I'm just sooo nervous! I don't what in the world to say to him and I'm scared that I'll stutter in front of him and that he'll think I'm a freak. (I have a speech impairment & when I get nervous, I stutter alot.)

And on top of that, he's always surrounded by his friends!!! Last year I would see him in the courtyard before school, and every single day he was surrounded by his friends, talking and laughing! I mean, I like how he's so friendly and everything, but the fact that he's around his friends(whom I don't know), all the time makes the idea of approaching him even more intimadating! I'll prob never be able to catch him alone!

But, nonetheless, I really, really wanna talk to him! I've liked him ever since I first saw him & I wanna become friends with him. I just need to overcome my fear! I've never approached a guy before! And this is really important to me! I like him alot and I really want him to like me (at least as a friend!) Omg just please help me!!!!

Anyway, my questions are:
-What should I say to him?
-How do I NOT freak out?!
-Ideas of what I should say to myself while I'm walking towards him to calm myself down? (pep talk basically?)
-How to act confident even though I'm freaking out?! I'm soo scared that I'll freeze up! Earlier last year I had a crush on another guy and he talked to me. I get so nervous that I froze up & I couldn't say anything. I just stood there like an idiot staring at him. That's the last thing I want to happen when I approach him! I'm also scared that it'll be awkward because I have no idea how to start and keep a convo going!

And I'm baffled that I would even consider approaching him because I'm sooo shy. I heard this quote once, "Don't let your fears make your decisions." If I don't at least try I'll always be asking myself,"What if?" and beating myself up about it. I'm sorry that this is such a rant; I'm just so nervous (if u couldn't already tell!), that I can't think straight! And sorry for all the (!) I'm just sooo scared!!!!!

If Job was blameless, why did God allow Satan to afflict him?

Many reasons, probably so you one day would read his word and see how man can respond to pain and suffering without cursing God.

Job wasn't known for his riches, family, rewards after trials. He was known for his perseverance and loyalty to God.

Do you think the period of the Great Tribulation, predicted in Christianity, will start in 2019?

No. The tribulation (or 7 year day of the Lord) won’t begin to happen until after the temple is rebuilt in Jerusalem; where the anti christ causes the daily sacrifice to stop after three and a half years of those 7. The New Temple won’t be built (Ezk. 40–44) until after Gog, the land of Magog and all the Arab armies with him are defeated (Ezek. 38, 39) in what will be clearly seen as an act of God. Ezekiel says Gog will attack when he sees Israel is a land of unwalled cities, meaning it is at peace with its neighbors. Right now, it is in a state of war with them. The time it will take for Israel to become a nation of unwalled cities. The time and circumstances for the battle of God and Magog to take place and the seven years it will take to clean up afterwards, according to Ezekiel. And the time it will take for the Temple in Jerusalem to be built and worshiped in (as well as the establishment and rise of the anti christ) tell us the tribulation has to be a minimum of 10–15 years away,(which fits nicely, timewise, with end of the two thousand year age of the gentles (2028–2038) which marks the end of the sixth day that the bible talks about). The decade of the 2020’s could be a very interesting time, but the tribulation won’t begin until afterwards.

Jehovah's Wittnesses: Did the Watchtower ever deny that the world would end in 1975?

You claim that many JWs were spreading this false rumor and acting like it was the official position of the church. So prior to 1975, when/where did the Watchtower issue a statement condemning these heritics?

Misplaced Wedding Gifts/Cards - What's the etiquette?

Wow, this is an awkward situation! So there's a bag of cards missing somewhere? I presume you've already had everyone go through all of their stuff to check for the missing cards. It's a bit strange that some but not all of them went missing, almost seems like they got shoved into a box or one of your other gifts. In case you haven't make sure to open up each and every gift again to see if they were somehow combined.

As far as how to handle the thank you notes, you have a couple of options. First it depends on the people; if you know they gave you a card (and I would check with everyone in the bridal party to see if they took a card from any of the 10 people) and you are close with them, you should just tell them that whoever was in charge of the cards misplaced some of them. If you aren't close with them, then just go ahead and send a generic thank you note for sharing in your special day.

I write checks most of the time, and frankly, I don't really notice if a check doesn't get cashed. If you are close enough with the people, I think there is no harm in mentioning the mix up to them, because they may never notice if a check wasn't cashed. Also, I take it you didn't keep copies of all of the checks that you received to compare in case some of the 10 ended up in that bunch? If you did, that would certainly be an option.

I'm sure misplacing some cards is more common than not, so don't stress too much about this mishap. The worst case scenario is that some of these people write you a new check!

Who has done this: A friend ask for you to pray and...?

a friend ask for you to pray for a sick friend or family member. you do maybe a couple of times and you get caught up in your own dumb drama. soon after the prayer request the person has died and in some way you feel like its your fault. this has happened to me at least 3 times. i feel terrible b/c i believe in the power of intercessory prayer but i get so caught up in my stupid pointless mess that prayer slips my mind. is it just me? questions from those who believe in prayer and in the CHRISTIAN God. I need an answer. thanks.
