Wearing A Dress For A Waitress Position/ Interview

How do you dress for a job interview as a cocktail waitress in a gentlemen's club?

I've never applied for a job like that before, so this is my first. I don't know how to dress for the interview. Do you wear something sexy (clevage showing, etc) like a denim mini and a cute top with heels or do you dress in khakis and a white shirt type thing? What about makeup and hair? Thank you!

What should I wear to an interview for a waitressing position?

No need to be fancy, but appear that you are seriou sabout the position. Any type of dress pants will do with a matching blouse or nice sweater and something other then tennis shoes. I think that the more you put forward in your presentation of yourself will never work against you in a job interview (unless you go way over the top). Most importantly, feel comfortable on what you are wearing. A good rule of thumb is to dress a step above your uniform (not true of all situations, but will apply in many cases).

What can i wear to a Thai restaurant's waitressing interview?

Please help!! The interview is in 2 days and I don't know what I should wear, being that it it is not formal, nor is it casual. The restaurant is very colourful and has a "romantic" setting and the owners are traight from Thailand.

ANYWAYS, People usually suggest dressing a little bit nicer than the people working there, but the waitressing attire is a traditional Thai outfit! Should I wear:

a) a baby doll dress with teal coloured leaves, and white and black throughout with nice conservative shoes and a nice jacket
b) traditional black dress pants with a black, satin Kimono top
c) casual- jean capri pants with a simple (slightly off-the-shoulder) fitted grey sweater

First time waitressing job - need tips for interview!?

Hi everyone. I've got an interview for a job as a part time waitress this saturday and, while I've had two previous part-time jobs, they were both in supermarkets & I never had to be interviewed for them. So this is my first time being interviewed & (if everything goes ok) it'll be my first time as a waitress so have you got any tips for the interview or any tips for working as a waitress?
I haven't eaten there before as it was only recently opened but I've heard it's kind of a fancy place & it's expensive...If that makes a difference!

How do you get a job as a hostess or waitress with no previous experience?

Yes, you do need to start somewhere. Many servers and hosts I know have come into this by accident, not on purpose: try for something else and get stuck into the dining room. Few have set out to be waitresses or hostesses for a longer period. And therein lies the issue. Not only are most people not cut out for the job, it's a transitional job to boot. That means having to train someone to be a waitress and then either losing them to the demands of the job or as soon as something better paying opens up is a risk few restaurateurs want to take. Instead they hope to get trained personnel from other jobs and just "milk" their expertise until the day they move on or break down.Your best bet is to start in a smaller outfit or a chain. Both have much less qualms hiring untrained personnel, chains actually prefer it because their HACCP plans are rigorous and deviations by old hats who are used to do something a certain way are unwanted.Yes, I know, it's not as profitable or fun to work for a Brinker's outfit or wait tables at the Ponderosa but you'll get the basics down and start to make a few connections that will allow you to trade up in due time.Spend some time walking around your town and just walk into every place that has a sign out looking for servers. Someone is liable to hire you, either because they're desperate or because they don't care about experience. Add some Google News watch lists for NRO (new restaurant opening) news from chains in your area and go to their job fairs, too. My friends who have tried this usually never took more than two weeks to get a job.

What would you wear to a job orientation, or training?

Question: What would you wear to a job orientation, or training?Actually, the only person that can really answer this would be your recruiter. Ask to find out what expected dress code is for orientation. In many of my jobs, had I shown up in a suit to orientation I would have been way over dressed. Business casual was actually a bit too formal as well. The corporate culture will determine the expected attire as well the global location.Finance, banking, and consulting are typically semi formal or business attire here in the US. East Coast US vs. West Coast US will also mean that the dress code definition will be different. EC business casual is VERY different than what you would find in LA or San Francisco.   So, to sum up: ask your recruiter or new manager what the expected attire will be for orientation. This is a completely appropriate question and is likely well received.

Interview/ fill out application for job as a waitress at a strip club what do i wear?

Well usually when i see girls that come into my club for that they usually try a sexy,im outgoing, but not slutty look...like a tight pair of jeans or shorts with some rips in them and a low cut tank top/shirt that shows some cleavage not to much but enough to do the job. OR you could go with jeans and a nice sexy thin sweater that shows cleavage.

Would you hire someone wearing jeans on a job interview for food server / waitress?

It is good to call and ask them if there is any specific way you should be dressed for the interview. But if it's not a high end restaurant it's perfectly fine to wear jeans, a more dressed up top, and plain, closed-toed black heels. Hair up in a pony-tail or messy bun, or anything, as long as it's out of your face.
