Weight Lifting I Feel The Burn More In My Forearms Than Biceps

Weightlifting. Dumbbell rows and my forearms? Need advice.?

Maybe it is because I have only just started lifting, but when I did my bent over dumbbell rows it did my back, but also my forearms.

Then when it came to doing my biceps I could hardly lift a thing and I didn't feel they got a decent workout.

I have had this problem with just lifting in general when doing triceps, shoulders etc.

Will it go away when my muscles adapt. I just feel my forearms are letting me down lol.

Any advice would be great.

I have been lifting for about 4-5 weeks now.

Forearm pain from bicep curls?

Your stressing that muscle too quickly, you need to exercise it slowly without jerky action of lifting. This will cause the muscle to spasm, like a charlie horse in the leg while your in bed. The muscle becomes constricted and locked into a tightened position from lifting to fast and not being warmed up enough in your arm muscles. Yes, all weight lifting requires warm ups. That tight feeling in the exact position you stated means the muscle there is taunt, stuck in place, and locked there unable to relax back into normal position. Loosening up exercises both before and after work outs will alleviate this problem. Good luck.

Why are my forearms twice as bigger than my biceps? And what purpose do big forearms serve?

I've started getting into lifting, and as of late, whenever I lift dumb bells, I notice that even though my shoulders/biceps burn, my forearms don't burn as much, but GET huge. My friend who constantly works out alot, told me he's sort of jealous, cause he says his forearms are hard as heck to build up.

Is there something wrong with my body? Every time I lift, my forearms get twice as more progress than my biceps.

Muscle definition help - why do my arms look 'narrow' but my biceps seem to be forming shape well tho?

You can't build muscle in places you don't have fibers. So if you have "gaps" - ie. tendon length issues then you'll have that no matter how much mass you build.

If you mean narrow as seen from the front then you probably aren't working all the heads evenly. Remember the bicep (bi==two) has 2 attachment points and the tricep has three. So you need 5 focuses exercises to hit it all.

Narrow from the front usually means peak for the bis and long head for the tris -- so concentration curls and overhead DB extension.

And, no, there is no difference between "toning" and "bulking." Ever seen a "tone" muscle fiber under the microscope?? Muscle is muscle. You might focus on type1 or type2 fibers which will affect your maximum growth rate but a muscle of the same size looks pretty much the same regardless of fiber types inside it. That fascia determines that.

Why do my forearms burn extremely bad whenever I lift heavier weight with my arms.?

it could be the weight is too heavy..
or you are gripping it tooo hard..

try doing forearm exercises to strengthen the forearm as well

but also change up your exercises.. and maybe add some machines in there to give it a break.. dont do alll barbells and dumbells
