Can weight loss be bad for your health?

Twice in my life while dieting from obesity down to a healthy weight, I noticed that I would get sick all the time. Can losing weight too quickly harm my immune system or something?

Is kool-aid healthy for weight loss?

Um...really? You're better off drinking soda once a day then Kool-Aid, which is ALL sugar and water. It will make you hungry and dehydrate you.

You're better off drinking iced tea with honey for a little sweetness, but NOT Kool-Aid, which is nothing but sugar. Seriously, the only difference between that and soda is the carbonation.

What are some vitamins that help with weight loss?

Weight loss is largely dependent on metabolism. Metabolism is the process of breaking down food for energy and support the functions of the body. Our metabolism can be affected by the food we eat, including vitamins and minerals in our diet.A person with faster metabolism burns calories faster than those with slower metabolism. Slow metabolism is associated with weight gain. A healthy metabolism ensures that the body uses these nutrients for energy rather than storing them as fat. Like all bodily functions, metabolism slows down when we age. There are vitamins and minerals that can boost metabolism function. They can be taken in supplement form, but whole foods are still considered the best sources. The following are the metabolism-boosting vitamins that can help with weight management:B Vitamins – breaks down protein, carbohydrates and fats for energy. Food sources includes eggs, lean meats, whole grains, dairy products and other fortified breads and cereals.Vitamin D – Studies have shown low vitamin D contributes to obesity or vice versa. Safe exposure to the sun is the fastest way to top up vitamin D and food sources include egg yolks, beef liver and fatty fish.Calcium – is important for healthy metabolism and blood sugar control, and healthy bones. Foods rich in calcium includes milk, yogurt, dark green, leafy vegetables, seeds and other fortified rich foods.Iron – supports correct cell functioning and the hormone production. This vitamin is found in meat, beans, tofu, soybeans, nuts and dark, leafy green vegetables.Magnesium – is important in energy production and metabolism. Without it, chemical reactions that produces energy will not happen. Foods rich in magnesium are nuts, legumes, spinach, bananas and whole grains.Adequate nutrition and the correction of vitamin deficiencies may help prevent unintentional weight gain and maintain a healthy metabolism. Eating a well-balanced diet that is the safest way to get metabolism-boosting vitamins and minerals. When this is not possible, supplementation may help but its always best to consult a doctor first especially for people with medical issues.

Unidentified health problems, weight loss... help?

hello, I'm an 18-year-old female. I am barely about 5' 6" and my weight is 108 lbs.
a couple years ago, I was really into long distance running, set my large school's new course record, and would run 10+ miles every day, but ever since last year, I have been feeling too sick and weak to run like I used too and have had instances of passing out after exercise.
now I don't work out much anymore (mostly because of all the stress in my life and advanced classes that consume my time) but I'm skinnier than ever and have good abs? I eat what I consider a normal amount, and my breast size is C cup, so that doesn't seem affected by my weight loss.
but I have been losing weight like crazy lately and still have symptoms of extreme fatigue, severe depression, dizziness, chest pain, and panic attacks.
I want to be able to work out again, but I want more to find out what could be causing this inability to gain weight.

Will a strict malt-o-meal diet help weight loss?

It might work, but where are you going to get protien? Malt-o-meal is enriched with vitamins and minerals, but you should try to get them naturally as much as you can! When I try to lose weight, I do a protien diet, since that builds muscle. You want to stay active, though, but it works GREAT. If you're just talking about that for breakfast, try one or two eggs and/or some peanut butter toast (maybe with some flax sprinkled on top? SO GOOD, trust me!) on wheat or whole grain.
If you want to lose weight, you've got to do it properly, the old fashioned way, or else it won't be a healthy weight loss, or a long-lasting effect. Diet, exercise, hydration! Good luck!
