Weight Training College Course Help

Will heavy weight training help me in USMC basic training?

Cardio and running will more then likely help more.

Some strength training is good too, but you wont be able to maintain it when you are in Basic. I would say get to the point where you can pull at least 150% of your bodywieght, that way you can pull yourself and any equipment you have through any obstacles or help a battle buddy through it. You do what you are told to do for exercises so a lot of any gain from weight training would be lost through a lot of your initial training since a lot of that exercise will be at the level of the weakest person. They will push them to be better, but if you greatly exceed the minimum the focus on, you will not be able to maintain.

The best thing to do is keep focusing on the Marine requirements as you are.

Also, roadmarching would be good to practice as well. About 1/3 of your weight for several hours. It sounds like you have the streangth to do it, but conditioning your muscles to roadmarching will help, expecially with conditioning your feet.

Why is running every day on a treadmill not helping me to lose weight?

This is a common “myth” taht many women (and some men) still think will get them leaner, and fitter….I unfortunately used to follow this myself. ONLY to find that I kept gaining weight. ..and I am sure that in your mind, running “burns calories’ therefore the scale should be a lower number right? Not necessarily.Let me clear up a few things first.I was at my heaviest in my early 30s when I did 2 hours of cardio daily, ate diet foods, and skipped meals. Now, at 58, I wear a bikini, have maintained my weight for over 20+ years, and NEVER do cardio by itself.I created a digital product that has sold thousands of copies that will help you when you click Final Fat Meltdown >>> 30 Days to Weight Loss to get you to a slimmer, more youthful body….but first you HAVE to change how you think about exercise, and eating. This is how I coach in our gym so that people can transform their bodies. If you are doing 1 hour of cardio. Your body will burn a certain amount of calories, and in the process, burn through muscle tissue which is the only metabolically active tissue. When you are done doing cardio. You are done burning calories. Unlike short bursts of bodyweight or strength training, which can burn calories for 24–48 hours AFTER you are done exercising.Strength training creates muscle tissue. Which weights more than fat, but takes up less space. SO, you might weigh the same, but in the process lose inches, and firm up flab, while looking and feeling better.Eat for energy, NOT for weight loss. Strict diets make you obsess about what you are “not allowed” to have. Counting and cutting too many calories is a pain, AND will leave you hungry, miserable and promote cravings. Eat nutrient dense foods that support a healthy and lean body.Cutting out ANY and ALL simple carbs is key.Eating healthy carbs before and after exercise can help maintain energy levels.Eat approximately 1 gram of animal or plant based protein per lean pound of bodyweight. This will keep you fuller for longer periods of time, and repair, rebuild and restore lean muscle tissue.Sign up for my free SPECIAL REPORT that will kickstart your fatloss plan, while energizing your body and flattening your belly. This will give you access to my http://newsletter.www.ConstantEn...Set your mind up for success. PLAN your meals and workouts, and get ready to see a leaner version of YOU come through that doesn’t pound your joints and doesn’t involve hours of exercise. Hope this helps!

What is a weight training class in high school like?

I'm going into weight training next year. I'm a bit nervous about it. Firstly, I'm a girl, and I'm just not compatible with the athletic crowd. What is it like? What kind of things do they teach in there?

Note: I'm not going into weight training for something as superficial as being skinnier. I'm satisfied with my intellect (I'm taking four AP classes next year.) and my artistic skills are decent. I figured that I should use one of my electives to improve myself physically. Plus, I plan to work out in college anyway, so it's a good idea to learn all the basics now. After all, I don't just want to walk into a gym and dawdle around helplessly.

Which are the best online courses to help losing weight?

Kris gethin's 12 week transformation. It is available on bodybuilding.com for free. There are ton loads of other training videos in bodybuilding.com.  you can choose any one of them. The key is following strict diet rather than doing a new ab work out or a HIIT cardio.

How do I lose belly fat through weight lifting?

From waist 39 to 31 in less than 7 months.Weight lifting coupled with 2–3 sessions of HIIT.High Intensity activities like the above two works magic on helping you burn fat.If you have more fat cells on your belly you will have more belly fat and when you exercise and eat a sensible diet the fat will naturally be removed from your fat cells…Weight Lifting Workout Highlight:Compound lifts like squats and deadliftsZERO machines use. Only free weights and dumbbellsSticking to only a rep range of 5–10. 4 months doing 5–7 reps and 2 months doing 8–10 reps. I differentiate both variables with FBX-Gain and FBX-Cut. If you want to know the details, see my free course fitness for beginners. And this one is imp: Low volume work (high intensity), only 3 times a week.Let me be clear about one thing:I strongly believe we are what are habits are.Working out 3 times a week is not enough for anyone to build exercise into a habit.Although weights 3 times a week is more than enough, and rest of the days can be can be compensated by doing HIIT (ideally at home or at a park near by).Whole idea with FBX is to also save you lot of time in the traffic and going to the gym.Lets face it, going to the gym is a complete ordeal (3–4 hours) per dayGetting ready>Driving down through insane traffic>Chit chat with your friends in gym>Taking shower or sitting down for a post workout and coming back.If you have the time on hand or you go there for social reasons its cool, you can do your HIIT or yoga there. But if you are a family man like me, and have other responsibilities like running a business, etc, then I feel giving a max of 6–7 hours a week (including traveling ) towards exercise is more than enough to give you a fabulous physique.

Weightlifting class?

Most classes in weightlifting are mostly working out in some kind of organized activity...like everyone doing wrist curls for 5 minutes and the leg lifts for five minutes and etc. If you are lucky there will be some instruction in physical fitness...best to call the teacher and ask or a student who has had this class before. It is individualized to the extent that each person starts with the weights and repetition that they can handle and then progresses. I had a weight lifting class in college and have worked out with weights several times a week since then...it was one of the most benficial life long things that I took from college. Some girl courses have more rythmic activites like music to work out by... not really sure how to recommend this.
I hope what ever you select you will like it (I did not like it at the time but later I was glad to have learned about weight lifting).
