Weird Dream - Like Feeling At Party. What Happened

What does it mean when you have dreams that end up happening in real life, i.e., is deja vu a skill, something else, or nothing at all?

I have had this happen many time throughout my life. Most of which happened as a child. My first and one of the most recognizable times was when I lived in California. We had just moved to a new home in Hollywood and I had had a dream that my Dad and I walked to a park nearby. The next morning, I asked my Dad if we could go. I took his hand and led him to that same park from my dream. My Dad insisted that I had been there before so, I learned to not be so open about the weirdness of it all.Another time, I was older, about 11. I awoke from a dream that was kind of eerie to me because it seemed so real. I was at my nieces birthday party. Nothing out of the ordinary except that I did not spend much time with her so I dismissed it. A couple months later, I was invited to her birthday party. Nothing seemed strange until I was there and remembered my dream. I knew each gift she had before it was even being opened because of my dream.I’m not real sure what causes it, I am not a spiritual or religious person but, what if our time lines are not fixed, what if subconsciously we can float through our time lines and witness our lives through our future selves at any given point. Who knows really but, makes sense to me.

That awkward feeling after waking up from a weird dream?

I get it nearly everyday.

I always have dreams that involve places I've been, and people I've met. They're always really weird dreams about nothing, usually nothing significant happens though.

For instance, I just woke up from a dream (and then google searched "weird feeling after dream" and got to this question) about being in high school, and I was in a classroom. Some of my old friends from high school were there, and then kids I never hung out with but I can name, were there - why, I don't know.

We were all sitting on couches, I got bored, stood up and turned around - I was outside in a parking lot near a beach. I picked up a skateboard and placed it down. I walked down to the beach and it turned into a snowy hill that led back up to my school. I tried climbing up the hill, slipped. So I walked around to a rock that I could climb up and a police officer gave me a ticket for doing so.

Then all of a sudden, I was the police officer, driving out of his garage the next morning, in a golf cart. His neighbor pulled out of his garage, and half of his head was missing. It wasn't gory or anything, just the backside of his head was missing, but his eyes were still there. Kind of freaky looking. Then I woke up, about 20 minutes ago.

This is usually how my dreams are, and they leave me with this exact odd feeling, it feels like you were displaced in another time or something. It is a rather uncomfortable feeling.

I get it often, and when I do, it seems like depending on how strange the dream was, that determines how long it lasts, for me.

Try a hot shower, that may help.

Is it weird that I always end up alone in my dreams?

You may just be facing the fact that you are alone in the world.
We all are, and at some point --we realize it.
Usually in the late teens, early 20's, when you start being independent of your parents sheltering.
You can be at a big party with hundreds of people, and still feel alone.
This is the main reason you must find happiness on your own, and not rely on other people to "bring" you happiness.
They will, but you have to have a place inside where you are happy on your own.

Weird dream about ruining a dinner party and dating a guy in diapers?

lmao u make me laugh

Why do I feel like I'm in a dream?

What you describe is called “derealization”. It seems to happen to about 5% of the people in the course of their life, and is a dissociative symptom that often indicates a dysfunction in the temporal occipital region of the brain. It can have many possible underlying causes, including lack of sleep, side-effects of medication and drugs, epilepsy, schizophrenia, etc. The experience often passes on its own after a short time, but you describe that you have had it for days, and that it is getting worse.I would recommend to see a neurologist and, depending on the circumstances, get an MRI of your brain done, too. If there are no obvious organic causes, treatment is usually cognitive-behavioral or psychodynamic therapy (to cope with stress and situations in your life that can bring on the condition, and to get in control of the symptoms) and often medication. The same neurotransmitters that are responsible for your fatigue and anxiety are likely involved in the derealization, and many psychiatrists will recommend treatment with Prozac or clonazepam.I hope you feel better soon!By the way, we can never “really” experience reality. Instead, our brain always creates a dream, but during waking, this dream is anchored in and constrained by sensory input. The more your brain believes that its dream captures the structure of the sensory input, the more it marks the dream as “real”. In your current state, this marking does not work properly, so the same things that would normally appear as things in an objective reality to you may now look somewhat distant, or foggy, or like through a strange reflection, or just like ideas. (The good thing is that you are aware of that, and that your perceptions of the world are not mixed with true hallucinations or wild ideations, so you can act coherently.)

Weird dream last night, i was being raped. What does it mean?

ok so my dream I had last night was scary! My brother was having a party at our house, and he hired a band to come play. My brother went to the store to get some things for the party, and the band showed up early. I was in my room changing and i had my pants off and the door to my room was wide open, and one of the guys in the band came and ran at me and started to rape me. That's all I remember. I don't know what could have brought this up. I have never been violated like that, why would i have this dream?

Dream of someone attempting to rape me! what could that mean?

I was having this really strange dream. So realistic i didn't know it was a dream (Cos the most of the times i do). I was at party with bunch of people. Half of them i knew, half don't. There was the guy I loved about 1 year (first love). But now i don't and don't even want him anyway. The party was okay, and than I was about to go home to take something, and he said he'll come so i don't go alone, it was dark. I said okay he was acting normally... We arrived home by walking it was close, i took some stuff and when we got out of the building. He grabbed my hands behind me so i couldn't move, and started to drag me, and he was saying something loud about drugs and sex... I felt helpless cause i couldn't move my hands so i started to swear him, and i was kicking with my legs. I haven't felt that helpless never in my life not even in dream, felt like i can't do a thing, and that i gonna lose my virginity in that awful way, and that i got really nervous and somehow i run away. And i came back to the party. He didn't came at all. Than i was drinking red wine, and i was shocked.

A perplexing dream...what does it mean?

I went to bed early last thrsday night and had a very vivid weird dream:
in the dream I was at some sort of party(it felt like my sister's prom - she's graduating this year) As I am there I look at my outfit and it is a royal purple gown and my shoes don't seem to go with the outfit. I go on and as the party gets going I look down at my outfit and I'm in black high-heeled boots, and a back dress skirt that has zebra print. I look great. I see this guy and I am in love with him. We walk outside and are talking. He kisses me and I kiss him. Then we see a pool. Next thing I know we are in the pool and it's like we are dancing and swirling in the water fully in our outfits. We are so in love. Then the scene changes to a creek. I am a small water animal and I am swimming with a friend. I swim to the bank of the creek and step out. I am myself (human) I look to my left and there is an opening that the creek leads into. I walk that way and the water is foot deep. I go through the opening and see the remnants of a waterfall that now is only trickling down. I touch the rock where the water is coming down. I look down and notice the water now. It is a strong current of red (maroonish) water that reaches only to my feet though, I have a slight fear that if I don't move I will be swept away. So I walk out of the opening and look back and there is a small (mini) shark. He is swimming towards me, but I am not afraid. I am fascinated. I step onto the bank of the creek and look at him curiously and he looks at me sticking his head out of the water and then swims on his way. I wake up.
