Weird Sleeping Position

What is the weirdest position you have slept in?

Happy to answer this question! This wasn’t so much a particular position, but where I had fallen asleep that dictated how I slept.I studied abroad in London while in undergrad. We had some time off, so my boyfriend at the time and I decided to rent a car so that we could check out the ancient city of Bath and Stonehenge. It was not a terribly well thought out trip and we obtained our rental at the very last moment. As a result, the only vehicle available was a Smart Car. It looked like a glorified golf cart and as my boyfriend at the time climbed inside it looked more like a clown car as he eased his 6′'4" frame into the driver's seat.Like this:Free Image on Pixabay - Smart, Vehicle, AutomobileLooking back, I realize that we had no idea what we were doing and left far too early to drive to Bath. We were so ill-prepared that we didn’t even have directions. We just asked some random person at a petrol station which way was Bath and then started to drive. It’s a wonder we even made it.When we arrived, it was far too early and nothing of use was open yet. Since we were so exhausted from our unnecessarily early journey, we stopped the car in the Royal Victoria Park. Once there, my boyfriend at the time stretched (as best he could) across the two seats up front. I curled up on the tiny shelf that was behind the rear windshield like a cat and fell asleep.By the time we woke up, both of my legs were completely asleep. It was the worst pins and needles I have ever experienced. I’m amazed that I was able to sleep in that position, I doubt I could pull it off now.*As a side note for the curious: the rest of the trip was lovely, we really enjoyed Bath. Stonehenge was not really what I had expected, but still worth a visit.

Do snakes sleep in weird positions?

My ball python has been sleeping (during the day obviously) in a strange position for about a month or two. Whenever it sleeps outside its little rock, it sleeps with its head pointed straight to the sky leaning against its bigger rock. Heres a picture. I'm worried it might be sick or something even though it is behaving and feeding norally.
Heres a picture of it sleeping.

I've had this snake for over 2 years and its probably only 3 years old at most. Its growing and shedding fine. I feed it around once every one or two weeks. I also make sure it always has water and I've got its heating pad under its tank which is more than big enough for it.
Let me know what you think might be the problem.

How do animals sleep in weird positions and not get sore?

How do animals sleep in weird positions and not get sore? The short answer is that they are not tormented by hidden inner emotional conflicts. (except perhaps domestic pets).Animals experience and express their feelings immediately. They defend themselves, express their displeasure, run or hide when frightened, and don’t carry emotional baggage.Humans on the other hand do the opposite, and those hidden emotions drive many muscular tensions and pains, and other illnesses as well.Cheers.

Why do cats sleep upside-down and in other weird positions?

I've always thought that they do it because it's more cozy and warm for them. I don't have a scientific explanation, though. I'm not entirely sure that anyone does. One cat that I had for many years used to sleep sitting up with his back propped against the sofa or a pillow much of the time. One of the cats that I have now sleeps on his back with his hind legs spread out. Who knows. I guess they're not much different than us. They just sleep in whatever position is the most comfortable for them.

How can cats comfortably sleep in any weird positions?

Cats have much more freedom of movement than we because, in part, of the difference in the construction of a cat’s collarbone. We humans are limited in our movements to a greater extent by the way our collarbones are connected to our shoulders, arms, and the cervical spine. This relatively “loose” nature of the feline anatomy also helps make it possible for the cat to twist in the air and land on its feet. But please don’t test the faculty by dropping your cat. Accidents can still happen, and unhappy outcomes are always possible. And if you’re over six years old and find yourself regularly sleeping in a fetal position, it may be time to examine your mood and get some help!
