What About Risking Your Life For A Selfie.

Why are people becoming selfie addict?

Because they have absolutely no self-confidence. They need CONSTANT approval from others. There is nothing wrong with taking a picture of yourself if you think you look good…and wanna capture it. The issue comes in, when you think 3,500 other people need to see it. And then you constantly keeping checking back to see how many “likes” and/or comments it's getting. Get….freaking….over…yourself. Nobody cares. There was a study done where they polled 1000 Facebook users. They were asked how often they post selfies. All of them said “every day”. Most said “first thing they do after they get ready in the morning”. And 100% of them said they lie and/or fake selfies every damn day. They Photoshop them…they lie about where the selfies being taken. And they all said they do it to make friends jealous, or to make their lives seem better than they are. Jesus Christ…all this technology…and look how we use it. Like freaking 10 yr olds. We got all this technology at our disposal….and most of us only use it to feed our egos. How sad. These young people ….i swear..technology has made them coddled, little, cowards….who take pictures of themselves and post them for all to see in a desperate attempt to scream “like me!!!….please…love me!!!” So pathetic. And I love how even the selfie taker is aware of how their selfie taking habit may come off to others…so they lie when posting…like “didn't mean to post this” but they STILL post it. Or the ever popular..”I somehow took this…in my sleep…AND POSTED IT…also while sleeping”…as if we are somehow fooled into thinking that YOU didn't take this picture of YOURSELF…because you aren't that into yourself…you wouldn't do that. JUST STOP!!! Nobody gives a st*t about your yoga pants….or your vegan-burger…oh and girls…enough with the selfie in the bathroom. It's classless…do you somehow forget that there's a bunch of toilets behind you? Get some class....and maybe start caring about more…than JUST yourself.

What is the most dangerous selfie ever taken?

I believe people expect an answer with selfies before death and ‘dangerous’ ones with people taking risk to whole another level. But I will put one dangerous selfie which is dangerous in another way. This is a selfie of US President Barack Obama (right), British Prime Minister David Cameron(left) and Denmark's Prime Minister Helle Thorning Schmidt (centre) posing for a selfie during Mr Nelson Mandela's memorial service. Beside them is US First Lady Michelle Obama. Why is it dangerous you ask -This became a meme later as images started to float across the web like the one shown below. Also Spirit airlines posted an advert which indirectly related the anger of a wife over husband taking selfie at “wrong” places.Source : BuzzfeedNow you should’ve understood the importance of this selfie, it had a huge backfire in twitter. For me dangerous means not those one’s which result in immediate injury or death but also the one’s which can prove to be a social eruption.May be I can add one more of the tsunami of dangerous ones out there. This is a typical selfie which can score a 100/100 in the danger scale. A small slip can prove costly. Lucky few to survive these. God bless!Caption read selfie “in front of Tsunami”. Even though the lady looks happy yet it could have been worse.See here.

Why do people risk their life while taking 'dangerous' selfies?

It is the THRILL and their plan to earn a lot of LIKES makes them to forget their precious life they are risking…https://www.google.co.in/url?sa=...

How likely is the risk of getting HIV from frottage? ( mutual rubbing and masterbation )?

None.

There are no risks to everything sexual. If there is no penetration, no open cuts or sores, no exchange of bodily fluids and no ejaculation there is ZERO chance of HIV transmission.

HIV is transmitted from a partner to has it to an partner who doesn't through semen-to-blood contact or blood-to-blood contact. That's it.

What are the most incredible selfies ever taken?

This is subjective, but below could be contender:PS: Most retweeted tweet ever, 3,353,682 retweets and counting...

What do you think about the “selfie syndrome”. Is social media making us narcissistic?

Selfies are wonderful. It is a worthy challenge to try to create an iconic photo to represent your persona on the internet. The only thing wrong with most selfies is that they are not taken in a thoughtful, creative way. Anyone can be a photographer, but not anyone can make art. So most selfies are very much like another.I’m a hummingbird photography fanatic. My profile photo isn’t very good, actually, but it was made to demonstrate an important fact to would-be hummingbird photographers. The birds are bold, and if you are quiet, and move slowly, you can get as close as you like.Click on the photo to see it at higher resolution.

Why do you think taking selfies has become so popular among the people of your country?

Thanks Niwas Udham for A2A.Capturing moments is an intgral part of human nature. We absolutely love to gaze and experience beautiful moments from the past.Selfies gave this nature another direction. Now, we can all be independent for taking pictures. This is the first reason, why selfies are so popular. You can click pictures anytime, all by yourself. But in India (maybe in other countries too), selfies are not just popular, it dances on our head. Completely taken over our mind and consciousness. That’s the problem! But how did that happen?Social media.Social media had sown the seeds of ‘fame’ and ‘popularity’ into our mind, and into our nature. And that seed, is a big blooming tree now.We all want huge following on different social media platforms, mainly teens. We want ‘fans’, ‘followers’, and ‘admirers’.We want to be popular. And we are prepared to pay any price for it. Even if the price is- risking our own life!Hundreds of people died. Most of them being teens and students. Trying to impress their friends and their so-called followers and admirers on social media sites. These incidents made news. Trying to put a limit on our madness. But in turn, made us more vulnerable. Made ‘selfies’ more popular!I am not saying news are bad, but we need to dig deeper to resolve this madness. Deeper into our nature and basic understanding. We need to teach teens to differentiate between act-of-bravery and foolishness!I am a bit digressed, I know. But, ladies and gentlemen, our nature is the reason for this non-required, over-the-top popularity of selfies. Popularity in a very unhealthy way! Thanks for reading. I wish everyone a very happy and safe new year! Click pictures and selfie with your friends, family and loved ones. Collect happy memories!Don't give them bad one!Best Regards.Image Credits- Google Images
