What Aircraft Should I Get.

What do you call the stairs used to get off an aircraft?

Basically they are just called "stairs", though different plane makers call them different things. Some call them "passenger stairs", some call them "airplane stairs", and so on. Unless you are referring to the ones not connected to the aircraft itself. Those are called rolling stairs.

Do you choose what aircraft you fly in the air force?

Sort of,

After initial flight school.

They highest rated pilot candiate gets to choose what aircraft he wants to transition into, from the list given.

IE: The Air Force might tell one class, we need 2 F-15 pilots, 1 F-16 pilot, 7 B-1B pilots and 5 C-141 pilots.

The highest ranked pilot candiate, gets first choice of that list, if an aircraft is not on the list, they cannot choose it.

It then goes from highest candidate to lowest candiate.

So the last guy in the class, doesn't get a choice, they have to take whats left on the list.

Every class has a different list, it is based on wht the AF needs at the moment.

So you can have a class have mostly fighters and the next class will have no fighter opportunities at all.

But you know you have to have a BS degree, be commissioned as an officer and apply for flight school.

You cannot enlist and be a pilot.

How to calculate/find LCN of aircraft. What is LCN of Challenger 601.will appreciate ayyub?

At some airports the bearing strength of runway pavement is defined by Load Classification Number (LCN) / Load Classification Group (LCG). The LCN/LCG has to be determined for a given aircraft and compared with the specific runway LCN/LCG. Normally the LCN/LCG of an aircraft should not be above that of the runway on which a landing is contemplated. Pre-arranged exceptions may be allowed by airport authorities.
The aircraft LCN/LCG can be determined as follows:
1. Obtain Single Isolated Wheel Load (SIWL/ESWL) and a tire pressure for the aircraft from Aircraft Operations Manual and use alignment chart from Jeppesen Manual (Part Airport Directory page 4)
For example: Aircraft SIWL = 36,500 lbs or 16,5 tons
Tire pressure = 70 pci or 4,9 kg/cm2
Aircraft LCN will be 32, LCG = IV
Look in Jeppesen Manual...

If India buys the F-16 which aircraft should Pakistan buy?

If India buys the F -16, Pakistan should buy fire crackers an celebrate. Because India would have committed a ginormous strategic blunder. Why?Very few Air forces in the world know the F 16 as well as the PAF does. Each and every strength and weakness. So, PAF will be in a fantastic position to anticipate, counter and defeat the IAF’s missions involving F 16s.It will finally be the nail in the coffin of the fledgling Indo_Russian ties and a wonder opportunity for Pakistan to cozy up to Russia. Who know, PAF may be able to get thier hands on the S 400 SAM.This is not to say that there are certain advantages for India and disadvantages to Pakistan. But I believe the weight-age is in favor of what I’ve said.Irrespective of what India does or not do, PAF should modernize it’s fleet. And after that, concentrate on obtaining J 10 B and more F 16 MLU plus build more Jf 17
