What An Married With One Kid E3 Gets Paid Pre Month

How much more do you make in the military when youre married?

I'm joining the Air Force soon and becoming a Cryptologic Linguist which is an outstanding job. I'll be able to be an E3 or E4 in my first 6 months... I've read how much the base pay is but how much more will I make a month if I'm married?

My son is in basic training now but he is not making the amount he was told he would make. Is there a reason that would happen?

I joined in 1999. We had smart cards, which were basically credit cards. They came pre-loaded with the amount of money that a soldier would need for his essentials. This was a pay advance. They tell you at processing about everything that you pay for, but with everything else that they are telling you as a new recruit, this information gets filed in the back of your brain somewhere. With my smart card, I had to go to the PX and buy toiletries, running shoes, flashlight, a number of other things that I needed, but can't remember now (everything that I took with me was confiscated and given back after I graduated, this included toothbrushes and running shoes). Every person scanned their smart card at the barber, even the guy who showed up bald. The uniforms were put on a separate account, the initial entry gear, and boots were done the same. Before any pay is put into the soldier’s bank account, deductions are made, to PAH for this gear, for the uniforms, for the smart card pay advance. There are laws and restrictions which only allow for a percentage (what that percentage is escapes me) to be deducted. That percentage may be more than any usual amount that might be considered for someone not living in barracks and eating food on the Army's dime, since he most likely doesn't need anything else.If he joined as an E2, E3, or E4, he will still get that pay, but they won't pay anything other than base salary (in most circumstances) while in basic training. If his recruiter told him about BAS (Basic Allowance - Subsistence) and BAH (Basic Allowanace - Housing) , this was not necessarily a scam, but intended to be an enticement. He will NOT get BAS while in basic training. BAH is dependent on whether he has a spouse and/or children; it is also dependent on whether he has the proper paperwork filed. If he has no spouse or children, then he will not receive BAH, unless and until he gets to his duty station and is not living in barracks. If he is an E4 or below, he will be living in barracks and will not get BAH or BAS, unless there is a lack of barracks space (this doesn't happen often, but I have heard of instances).

How easy is it to get the Australian permanent residency for an Indian citizen?

As others have said, it really depends on lot of factors but mainly comes to your age, education, work experience and English skills. If you score well in these areas, you have better chance of getting Australian PR. But something is even more important than these parameters - your determination. How far would you go to get an Australian PR? How much sacrifice can you make? When I started to think about immigration (not even to Australia yet), I had three months old baby daughter and a wife who was still recovering from maternity after-effects. I had no relatives living abroad, most of my relatives never even went out of India, even for holidays. Financially too, I was not in a best position. I was paying off mortgage for two homes, looking after my old parents and making lifestyle compromises to even things out. Age wise, I was not getting younger either. It was like a mid-life crisis. In short, the whole scenario was not ideal to take such a big leap of faith. But something inside me told me that I won’t make my newborn daughter’s life miserable as mine. Daily fight for survival will not be part of her lifestyle. She won’t be suffocated to death by horrible air pollution nor would she drink the muddy water to quench her thirst. She won’t be choked in a cut-throat competition or be a victim of an age-old education system. She will have a life which she can truly enjoy and be proud of what she is, irrespective of others opinion. This is the only idea that pushed me hard to work through all the hassles of getting PR Today, I am proud and highly satisfied that I made it to Australia along with my family. So, a simple answer to your question is, Yes. It is easy to migrate to any country, not just Australia, if you have strong will and perseverance to follow your dreams.

Why is it considered illegal to not have health insurance?

How do I avoid paying for Health insurance in America and still be legal? In the U.S. it is NOT “illegal” to opt out of obtaining Health Insurance.Your choices as an alternative of securing “essential health benefits” are:Pay the Tax PenaltySeek an ExemptionThe Tax Penalty for 2016 is 2.5% of your total household Adjusted Gross Income, or $695 per adult and $347.50 per child to a maximum of $2,085.The tax/penalty can be considered an opportunity cost of purchasing your health insurance. In other words, you are foregoing the $2,085 (savings) off the cost of health insurance if you chose to secure coverage.Though not a huge incentive, in your example, $1,500/month or $18,000 per year would actually be net cost to you of $15,915.No doubt, that is a lot of money. Yet your exposure to a catastrophic loss because of unforeseen medical expenses to you or one of your family members is exponentially higher.

My husband wants to join the army!?

We have three boys 7,3,and 1 and he hates his job and we don't like where we live and he really wants to go but I am confused about what to do. I am so worried about the time that he will spend away and with three young ones I'm afraid it will be too much to handle. I am afraid he will resent me if I dont let him go but I'm not sure its the best thing for us. Any advice or pros and cons of the army?? Thank You!

Split per diem and am I going to get screwed?

I really appreciate what you just enlightened me too. I knew something was aloof. I am going to email them first thing Monday morning and request they modify the terms of the contract to remove the split per diem or it adios for me and the job. I only have 10 hours pay coming to me so far but I would have to mail a new laptop back to the employer. I signed a 6 month non-compete or can't go to work for the company directly so looks like this is up to them if they want to re-negotiate. I would like to correspond with you more about proofreading my email I am going to write to them, would you mind polishing it with exact details you just shared with me?

From Wikipedia:

Often, a contract staffing company will offer a base pay rate. Then, when the contractor tries to negotiate the inclusion of a per-diem rate, the staffing company sub-divides the previously agreed base rate into a smaller base rate and a per diem rate. This is a called per diem skimming or wage recharacterization.

Can you wear new US Army rank if you haven't been "pinned"?

You get to put the rank on when your orders say the effective date of your promotion is.
Regardless of weather you have a pinning ceremony or not.
Most promotion dates are the 1st of the Month, if this fall on a weekend or day off, you come to work the next day with the rank on.
If you don't you are out of uniform.
I got promoted to E-5 while sitting on an Alert tour, working 24 hour days. I took an extra uniform to work, At midnight I changed my shirt putting on my new rank. That's the way it works.

EDIT, As far as some people concerned with P.O. their superiors. If they are so concerned about a Pinning ceremony, it is their responsibility to make sure it happens before your orders Official Promotion date.
Most of the ones I've attended were the last duty day BEFORE the Promotion date. They will not hold up an earned promotion, just for ceremony.
