For video editing, I'd go with Splice. If you want a combination of both, movie and song editing, I'd go with iMovie but its paid. Splice is probably the best video editor out there and it's free!! I would personally get Splice for video editing and probably not make the music on the idevice because it wouldn't be that original. However there are many apps which allow you to create music. I take a video by my iPhone device, then I use iMovie (for iOS) to edit, but it will add black background on both sides. How do I solve this?
There are 2 possibilities here:1. You are holding your phone in "portrait" alignment mode, instead of "landscape" alignment mode, so there are 2 black narrow lines (left and right).Solution:Always shoot landscape mode.2. You shot it in landscape mode, but you need to resize the aspect ratio(usually 16:9 versus 4:3). The more common aspect ratio is 16:9, so somehow iMovie "thinks" you're on 4:3 and is adjusting.Solution:Change your import settings on iMovie; or...Make sure your aspect ratio is 16:9

The main problem is not so much about legality as it is about the effectiveness of doing this.People aren’t stupid and will see through this, and you’ll come across as amatuer if you don’t have any actual videos to show them. Nothing screams noob like copyright infringed mashup portfolio of other people’s work (and in all honesty it probably not gonna be a good one of those if you’re at the stage of thinking is a good idea).Anyone who is the remotest bit professional is not gonna be impressed by it, and so it really depends who it is you’re trying to demonstrate your skills to. Your Uncle Joe might be impressed, a business professional probably not so much.It’s not legal in the slightest of course, and so you would have to be really careful about who you’re showing this to and where.It’s much better though to have actual work to show people.
How to make video edits to post on vine/instagram?
I want to make an edit that has multiple things in the video, for example maybe two different photos and a 2 videos or maybe all videos, and then in the background i choose music. Do i have to download an app? I don't necessarily want to post it on vine or instagram, i just want to have them on my phone.
