What is a good way to display autographed 8x10 photos?

Does any collector know a good method for displaying autographed 8x10 photos? To this point I have just been putting them into hard plastic sleeves and sticking them to the wall with putty. They constantly fall off the wall and don t really look great when they are up.

What are the best ways to display photography prints at home?

I prefer wall art photography prints to be framed. I like mixing and matching with different frame styles like wooden frames for these cool prints:Or a black frame with a black and white picture which grabs your attention:Or a white frame for your favorite abstract artwork:If you have a large enough empty space, then check out wall prints by Disizart as their photography prints come in a size which is not too small nor not too big (12 by 12 inches) and you can put a lot of prints up on the wall creating a piece of artwork of your own :)!

What is a good way to display your travel photos?

Hi there,I love the idea with sticking Instagram photos to your fridge - it’s just awesome, I’ll try it for sure. ;-) But as a traveler and photographer myself, I prefer completely different way of presenting my photos - putting them on the greatest website of them all - my own! ;-)It’s such a waste to keep your photos locked on the computer while they could shine brightly on your own website. If you’re simply willing to treat your travel photos to a better home, it’s high time to take an action. :-)You don’t even need coding skills to have a website, instead use a web-builder that will offer you beautifully designed themes, customized map so you can pin your journeys, ability to run a blog and selling your photos. You don’t have to use all of this features, but it’s always good to have them together in one place, don’t you think? What’s also important for me is the fact that having a website is one of the first steps of creating a personal brand. And it’s an obligatory step in today’s competitive world. It gives you a chance to present yourself exactly the way you want to be seen in the eyes of your audience. You have a total control over it. It also allows you to highlight your great assets, high quality of your work and your credibility, but most of all – your professionalism. To sum up, creating your own website it’s one of the best options to keep your travel photos alive. Have a look at my website - lifecatchers if you’re looking for an inspiration. ;-) And if you like the design, try to build similar here on Photler. You’ve got a 14-day free trial to check if it also works for you! ;-)Let me know how your experience with building your own website is!I’d love to hear back from you.Cheers,Marta

What are some good slideshow software to display photos at a wedding that will let me stamp or watermark my brand?

The best way is to watermark your photo in your editing software, such as photoshop. This allows you to place the watermark unobtrusively if need be, but you can still create an action to batch watermark most/all of the photos.

What are some creative ways to wallmount some photographic prints?

If you learn how to make your own frames, you can also create a fake mat in Photoshop and have it printed with the print. You can also order your prints on this 1/2" foam that gives it an edge and can be less expensive than framing prints yourself. You could also have your prints mounted on matboard or styrene. You can attach ribbon to the back and tie in a bow above. Or punch holes and put grommets in, and hang with fishing wire. Just really depends on the look you're going for and the theme of your images.

What is the best way to display photos at a solo exhibition?

I’m no expert on photography, but I do know about how to exhibit art. You should print your photos on whatever substrate you would normally use - I imagine photographic paper would be best? And are you already in contact with a gallery? Or is this a project that you hope will be of interest to someone? If you know someone already, you really should be consulting with them about their presentation preferences. If not, then you might mount a few of them up on large mat boards with wide borders and non-glare plexi with clips so that they show well and so that you have something to show to a gallery. The rest you can put in a large portfolio - or on a zip drive - so they can be shown one by one. Then once a gallery is interested, the question of framing - or not - can be addressed. Framing is expensive, and there are some small transparent clips that can be used at the corners of mat boards that hold the boards and the glass/or plexi and are very unobtrusive and clean-looking, and allow the wide mat and the photo to show in a very simple and effective way. This would be the cost-effective solution, if the gallery proved to be agreeable to it. But I suspect you are not ready to worry about this yet. Thanks Brandon, for the compliment of the A2A.

What is a good way to display digital pictures in the home?

If you're talking about displaying pictures as in with a memory card, I would purchase a digital picture frame that will go through the roll on a loop. There are some great options out there. If you're talking about digital prints you have more options! I love pictures in the home because it shows off the personality of the owners as well as what they love the most. Is a video considered a photography?

Photography is the process, activity and art of creating still or moving pictures by recording radiation on a radiation-sensitive medium, such as a photographic film, or an electronic sensor.

What is the best way to display a collection of photos at a glimpse? What would convince you to see the whole collection?

I have not written such an application, but I would experiment with a thumbnail display of small images, tightly packed, then animate it so that random small images smoothly, one at a time, expand to larger form, then return to thumbnails. I would maintain the larger image for only a second or so, enough to attract interest but not enough to appreciate the photo. If I knew that certain photos were more popular, I might bias the random selection to show those more often.
