What Are Some Adult Sites That Are Not Spammed With Ads

How do the spam "dating sites" get my email?

The spam content is totally irrespective of anything that you do. Allegations of visiting porn sites etc are just so much twaddle.

What actually happens is that somehow you get on a list and this is passed round the spammers and scammers for use as they please.

So far, it would appear that the list you are on is limited to dating sites. They will soon pass your list to the viagra merchants etc..

While it may be possible that someone (and that includes yourself) entered your email address at a dating site, it is just as likely that a harvester found the email address somewhere else or you inadvertently left it lying around somewhere or they invented you and got lucky.

Do not get concerned over the why. Be prepared to tackle the spam. At mail, look for options and click on it then read the tutorials before implementing your spam mitigation strategy.

Why do some sites want to know if your a robot?

It's basically to keep out spam. It's a simple matter to write a program that will go to the website and create hundreds of accounts in order to spam the site with ads - these accounts can be created far faster than the admins can delete them. The solution is to require a sort of "robot test" - the human brain can easily pick patterns out of the scrambled text they display, but even advanced computer programs can't (just another example of how amazing the brain is).

Only a human could pick out and identify the letters to answer the question correctly. That way, if someone wants to post spam, then they have to create their accounts one at a time, making them easier to root out and delete.

How much can you trust the ads posted on free ad sites?

You cannot trust these ads on olx and quickr and thats why you dont pay anything to olx even if you buy through it. Olx and quickr do not check on the legitimacy Of these and are not responsible for it.You can check out Ebay, which has a buyer protection which allows 100% refund in case the product is not as mentioned in the ad.

How do I know if my husband has been using adult dating sites? We have the same email address and in the spam folder, there are lots of messages from those sites.

An adult dating site would likely require its users to create an account/profile, which would then be tied to an email address. So, the simplest way to check - go to those dating sites and try to recover the username/password. They’ll typically ask for the email address used to sign up. Enter in the email address that you’re getting spam to, and see if you get sent an email with account recovery information. If not, it’s likely just spam.

Is AdultFriendFinder legit or a scam?

As a former member, I can tell you that it was in 2006. I was in a rural area, worked 15 hours a day, six shifts a week, starting at 7pm/1900 ending at 10am/1000. I had just gotten out of a pretty surly relationship about nine months prior, and I found AFF. I checked it out before putting money into membership. This was a site that was matching people based on their sexual desires and not for dating. It was for members to contact each other safely through the website and set up a meeting in a public place. At the meeting, names & phone numbers can be exchanged, if it was agreeable. And it went from there…I bought in with a one month membership to try it out, and it paid off well enough to not need to pay for a second month.Who knows today if it's still legit, but I'd buy a one month membership to see. You'll be able to tell in less than a week if you're not picky. The ones who aren't on AFF are the ones you'll want to date, get to know, etc. This isn't a ‘friend with benefit’ site. It's just a way to find someone for sex with little conversation.

My husband gets email advertisements from dating sites and I don't. Is it because of websites we visit?

It has nothing whatsoever to do with the websites you visit. It has to do with the places that know your email address, such as the forums you register on, the mailing lists you sign up for, and the number of your friends who send you "free" e-cards. Also, if your email address happens to be in the address book of someone who gets their computer taken over by a trojan, your email address gets spammed.

At work, a 65 year old grandma got spammed regularly for male enhancement products. I can assure you it has absolutely nothing to do with the websites she visited or with any sort of targeting provided by tracking cookies. Spammers spam. That's why they're called spammers. If they have an email address on their lists, they spam it without regard for the possible interests of the target.

How do you stop getting emails from dating sites and others that you dont want?

Your best first bet is to use the contact form on the site in question and ask for confirmation of removal.

If you get no response and the spam keeps coming, then you can do a simple whois @ whois.domaintools.com to find the sites information and importantly who they are hosted with.

Then send them another email or use contact form and notify them that if they do not remove you from there mailing list you will report them to there host provider (most decent host providers will not allow clients to spam and will limit there email sending abilities and even lock them in cases of too much spam).

If they still do not acknowledge you then report them to there host and to:

www.ftc.gov - just fill out the online form

www.spamcop.net - quick register and form fill online

Most sites will remove you after at least the second email and threat of report to there host, but there are some unscrupulous sites either self hosted or there host will not care in parts of the world. For that scenario you will just have to set up a filter in your email program either outlook or thunderbird for instance for the spam address eg. *@datingsitewontlisten.com and then all future emails will be automatically sent to spam/junk folder and deleted after a few days.

Hope this helps

How do i stop porn sites sending me email?

Changing your email address is a bit drastic, you'd have all the hassle of informing all your contacts etc.

Have your got graphics turned off? If you haven't and you open one of those emails it sends a message back to the porn site that your email address is live, so you get more spam. When the spammer gets the signal that your email address is live, they will sell your email address to other spammers.

Do you mark them as spam so Yahoo knows to send mail from that address to the spam folder? You can mark all 20 in one go if you tick the box next to each email that looks like spam, and then send them all to the spam folder.

If you never open the spam emails (or only open them with graphics turned off) the spammers will eventually conclude that your email address is not live and they will stop.

It's safest to have graphics turned off on your email account. You can turn it on again for an individual email after you have opened it and know it is safe.
