What Are Some Better Words To Use Instead Of

Is there a better word to use instead of "hack"?

All the large tech companies have hack nights, hack gathering, and more.  It's not a dirty word - the only people who think it is just aren't that bright.  Should we cater to those people? I don't believe we should.  The paranoid and ignorant are just that - paranoid and ignorant.  To coddle them by using words that make them feel more secure is to lessen yourself and to give into their emotions and shortcomings. What I would do instead is educate - I would inform when its appropriate and worthwhile.  I would not change how I speak about things.  Hacking is cool, hacking is fun, and it's what drives innovation.  The company I currently work for let's everyone in the company stop their normal work and focus on innovation for 4 weeks of the year (each quarter).  We call it - hack week.  This inspires people and it motivates them to go outside the box and do new things.  This is what the term 'hack' truly is.  Not security intrusion, not theft, not all the bad connotations the media and the unknowing have attached to it.  Show respect for what's good and what's right by educating not by joining into the fear and stupidity.  That is my take on it.Happy Hacking!

Is there a better word to use instead of FAQ?

Is there a better word for FAQ that can be used? This is in relation to a school project. The thing is, it is an FAQ with troubleshooting + general questions relating to the product.

I have thought of:
Help
Info

but I do not like those two words. The reason FAQ cannot be used is that it is a multi cultural/language - whre all words must be understandable in all languages and i guess FAQ is not known for people that do not speak good English in ghe first place.

Any suggestions It needs to be short (no more than 7 letters) - this is for a design project at school.

Thanks for your time!

Receive, incur, bring, fetch, reach.....it all depends on the context you are using them. You need another verb.

What's a better word to use instead of "trippy"?

By trippy, do you mean unstable?

To me, trippy refers to a strange, abnormal, unstable experience. It's unfamiliar, strange, weird, lucid. You've no idea what's going on. Everything's been turned upside down, things react in strange ways...

Hope the mindless rambling helped xD

EDIT: Since it's a really strange scene, I would choose "He enters a hallucinating state" or something like that

Better words for "stood"?

rested or paused

What are some better words that I could use to rephrase this sentence?

Your statement makes the assumption that ALL people take the easy way out. This is not true.

All people face challenges in their daily lives. But some people, instead of confronting and solving their problems, often take the easy way out thinking it is the best way to overcome such obstacles.

Yes, you may begin sentences with 'and' and 'but:'
