What Are Some Costumes You Wore As A Child

What is the best costume you ever wore?

The Fate Stay Night I think. Cosplay brings a lot of fun to my life.If you are also interested in the Cosplay, you could go to the following site: Cosplay Costumes, Movie Costumes, Halloween CostumesThey are doing great job with the cosplay. So please do have fun with the Cosplay Journey.

What was the last costume you wore?

My 80’s Superman costume. It was bought online and modified. I love it because it’s made of warm soft skintight spandex, I can wear it to a convention all day and not realise I’m wearing it:I’ve had a lot of nice compliments from women, and men about how nice it fits my curves and toned legs. I’m not as muscular as Superman, but hey, I feel sexy :)I’m gonna take this opportunity to ask for some help. I just recently bought a Superman Returns costume that is supposed to be a replica, but was nowhere near as good as it should have been, so I’ve had to cancel this year’s trip to San Diego because it needs a lot of work, it is nowhere near as sexy as my 80’s one above, it just looks and feels frumpy:The trunks are too big and too granny like, the cape is too long, and the costume generally needs tightening up. The cape doesn’t fit round my neck properly, and flows weirdly over one shoulder, but OK on another. And this was from a tailor that was supposed to specialise in superhero costumes. I spent an hour with her while she measured and drew dimensions. I’ll have it sorted for next year, the deadline is too close now. I don’t want to go to San Diego with my 80’s one as it isn’t a replica, I won’t win awards with it, unless I was doing a porn film lolIf there’s any tailors in the UK close to Manchester, or you know any that can help me, I’d appreciate it.

What costume is your child wearing this Halloween?

Scooby Doo (3-year old) and Daphne (6-year old).(Images are not of my children)

What Halloween costume have you worn in the past that you'd never wear today because of political correctness?

A Native American outfit. In my closet, I have the Native American outfit that I wore in Kindergarten. I can’t remember exactly which holiday I wore it for (Halloween or Thanksgiving), but either way, it’s not exactly gonna fly today.A 5 year old dressed like this:(not me, just from google)So cute! Total cultural appropriation, especially with the feather headdress, but who yells at kids? I think I’d regret letting my future nonexistent kids wear that sort of outfit, but either way, it’s innocent enough. For those who don’t know, non-Native people wearing feather headdresses is especially offensive because it amounts to Stolen Valor (wearing military honors you didn’t earn). This is not so innocent:(also not me, thank goodness)Firstly, because I think this girl has on less clothing than the kindergartner, and because she’s old enough to know that bastardizing another culture into basically glorified lingerie is the practical definition of cultural appropriation and privilege. Also, Stolen Valor, pt. 2.Yeah… no. Gonna pass on dressing up like a Native American ever again.

What was the WORST Halloween costume you ever wore?

I plan on writing an article about the "Worst Halloween Costumes". I'd love to here some of your stories about ones that you thought would be GREAT yet once you had it on and was out and about you wished you hadn't picked that costume.

Here is mine:

My best friend & I decided to be a "Two headed Monster" when we were about 9 or 10. We got her dad's coat which came down to our knees. We each had one arm in one of the holes and we had painted out faces to look really silly. The coat was buttoned up and we looked great we thought.
But once we were running around the neighborhood we regretted this idea. We kept bumping into each other, tripping on each others feet, we each had a hand that we could do nothing with which was annoying plus the coat was hot.
About half way into night we took it off and looked pretty silly with just our faces made up.

Is it "child abuse" to dress up a 2 year old boy in a princess costume for a Halloween party?

Apparently, according to someone who I never thought would be so uppity about "gender issues", it would literally be "child abuse" to dress a little boy in a princess costume for a Halloween party.

See, this 2 year old boy is friends with a 5 year old girl who is also going to be a princess for the party, so it might be cute and of course a bit funny to also dress him up as a princess so that they could be princesses together.

Would THAT be "abusive" to the child? I mean, it's Halloween... it's a COSTUME, for goodness sakes.

What was the particular costume Kerri Green's character wore in The Goonies?

Has anyone ever seen that old 80s movie, "The Goonies," about those kids who go searching for buried treasure? It was a Steven Spielberg movie. Well, Kerri Green's character..."Andie," or whatever her name was in the movie, wore a long yellow sweater.
But that was like my boyfriend's favorite movie when he was a kid, and we were talking the other day about how "80s" it was! Hahaha. I started talking about their clothes that they wore, but I forgot what her attire consisted of. I remember the other girl, (the one with the glasses), had on jeans and a purple jacket, and some of the younger kids had like spikey hair and jean jackets, but what did Kerri Green's character wear again?
Just wondering. It's been years since I've seen that.

What was the most embarrassing halloween costume you ever wore?

my mom dressed me up as a clown... and I cried the whole day because I was scared of clowns. I was 4...

The second worst was grapes (purple body suit+purple balloons all over) O_O

What was your favorite and/or best Halloween costume that you wore as a child?

1979, Wonder Woman. Honestly nothing was as comfortable as that, much to my mother’s horror.I was a hella headstrong, willful child. I was obsessed with the Lynda Carter TV show Wonder Woman. I had the doll with her Diana Prince/WW change over outfit. I had the beach towel and records (Yes, actual vinyl). I had the Under-Roos.So that year, in Florida, I wanted to be Wonder Woman. Nothing else would do.Unfortunately now, I don’t have a picture of the matching WW cape that mom made to go with this. I helped my mom (or well as much help as a 4 yr old can be) make my costume bits and pieces. She remade slippers into the boots. We used tin foil and construction paper for the tiara. It was about 80 degrees that night. So I refused to wear the cape. I spent the evening running around the neighborhood in slippers and undies, twirling until I was dizzy, and punching any bigger kids who tried to steal my candy.Granted this wasn’t the best costume my mother made me, and she made me many, but it was my favorite. And it truly beat the northern Halloween version I wore one year ofSweaty, and hard to breathe or move in. Just NO.
