What are some good get back together duet songs?

My boyfriend and I were together for a year and then he decided we needed a break. Last night he said he wanted to try again and I said yes. We're both in show choir at our school and we wanted to sing a duet for our end of the year performance. Any ideas? please and thanks.

What are good and not overused jazz songs?

Well first off, I'm not sure if I want to do a duet or solo. My cousin wants me to do a duet with her (Jazz). And I was all for it at first, all of my solos have been lyrical and I love it, but there's so many lyrical solos that you have to be drop dead perfection to stick out at a competition, and I kind of want to try something new. But I think my solos have made me a much better dancer, I can see improvement and I feel like it's just time for me, and I don't have to worry about messing up because I can cover it up and I don't have to feel like I let someone else down. So I guess my question is should I try a jazz duet or should I do a solo? And my original question, what are some good jazz songs? Something that's not overused and not innapropriate. I like the song Glam by Chrintina Agularia, but I've seen quite a few dances to that. Thanks!!

Could a ukulele and a guitar be played together (duet) even with the different tuning?

Of course a uke and a guitar can perform a duet. Although the two instruments have different individual tunings, musical pitch or "key" of a song is the same across the board. So even though the individual instrument has unique fingering to create an A Major chord, that A Major chord is still an A Major chord and its scales use the same notes. That is how bands and orchestras function as one unit.Think about a typical blue grass band line-up.banjoguitarfiddlemandolinbassThe number of strings, the tuning and the fingering of each instrument is different, yet they blend together so well. That is because how ever each instrument creates a particular note like a middle C note, it's still a middle C note.Another example: this Tuesday July 3rd, my group (two guitars and a bass) will perform Lee Greenwood's classic "God Bless The USA" with a symphony orchestra. Sounds complicated, right? Symphonies use brass, wood wind, and classical stringed instruments; so how could a guitar group blend with them?We guitar pluckers are used to adjusting our tuning and fingering to fit our voices or any other instrument by the use of capos. We normally perform Greenwood's song in the key of D Major, but the symphony prefers the key of D Sharp Major. So we slap on our capos at the first fret and our fingering remains the same but we now share the common key of D Sharp Major with the symphony. We will base our tempo on the symphony director's gestures and hopefully all will turn out just peachy! As long as different instruments can find that common key, they will sound great together. Now if we could only do that with political parties!
