What are some good ab and leg exercises?

I'm looking to really shape up my legs and ab's. My leg's expleshly!! They are thick because I'm a bigger boned girl, but I have seen people (i.e. celebs) that have nice looking legs, that are toned. I'm doing cardio to get rid of the fat laying on top of my stomach so I want some good suggestions for some good ab exercises.. thanks!

Ab exercises with a broken leg?

Brandon, You can do a modified ab crunch sequence. It works every section of the abdominal musculature so it's really the only ab exercise you need. And, you don't need to buy any equipment. Lay on your back on the floor with feet anchored against furnature, put your hands behind your head and elbows out to the sides. Then very slowly "curl-up" by lifting each vertebra off the floor one by one until your shoulder blades are up off of the ground then do the same all the way back down to the begining position. Barely stop at the top and at the bottom. Keep in constant motion. This will ensure that you work each section of the abdominal musculature. Do these to fatigue making sure to breathe throughout the exercise. Rest. Then follow up with 2 sets of alternating obliques where you take each elbow and go to the opposite sidewhile you are "curling up." Being careful to again lift each vertebra off the floor one by one. And, concentrate on making a smooth arc in the air with your elbow then alternate sides. No matter how far you get you will have worked both sides evenly. Hope this helps.

What are some of the best leg exercises without weights?

The short answer is read Arnold Swartzenegger's Encyclopedia of Bodybuilding. It's over 30 years old, and is still the single most complete source of all things strength training related. It covers Olympic lifts, strength training, endurance training, gymnastic and circus related movements, ....  There have been a few advancements in training, but most are simply putting a new cover on an old book and saying, "Look what I just figured out!"

What are some good exercises for gaining inner thigh clearance?

You have to be really careful when exercising for thinner thighs, because many common exercises that are great for shedding body fat will quickly add muscle to your legs, making them bulkier.

Walking really is the best "exercise" for thinner thighs. I don't know how thin of a thigh you're trying to get, but I'm a model and I know that I've got to keep my thighs at least 3 inches from each other when standing with my feet together. If you're trying to get your legs that small, then walking really is all you can do. Running even builds up muscle, which usually is great, but not so much for when you're trying to get clearance between your thighs.
