What is something that ruins good songs for you?
When I Play them to deathI really like my music. As in, I REALLY like my music, so I tend to play it a lot. There are 3 ENTIRE BANDS that I’ve done this to, those being Billy Talent, Dragonforce, and Queen.What happens is that I really love a song, album, or band, so I start playing it on repeat. Most recently I did this to Billy Talent, by listening only to their music for a few months. One of my favorite songs by them, “Rusted From The Rain” ended up with over 500 plays over the course of the last 2 years, with the majority being in the past few months.When this happened with Dragonforce, it’s because I played “Through The Fire and the Flames” on repeat for months. That was the only song I listened to for over half a year! In the end, the song had somewhere around 300 plays (It’s a long song). I eventually went back to other songs, and now I really hate that song, because I played it to death. I eventually started listening to their other music, but it’s so similar to that one song, that they’re just “meh” to me now.Third is Queen. As in, Freddie Mercury. You know, Princes of the Universe, The Show must Go On, Another One Bites the Dust. THAT Queen. This was by far my favorite band for the first half of my life. I listened to Greatest Hits I and III (Never got my hands on II until 3 years ago) to death. Specifically, I listened to Killer Queens uhhhh (Where’s that old mp3 player?.. Plug it in… uhhhhh) at least 10893 times. Yep. I was obsessed. I still am. I don’t listen to their music often anymore, but I still love it, even though I groan whenever it comes up in my playlist.I feel like this could potentially happen with any of my music, but despite playing their music to death recently, this doesn’t seem to be happening with BABYMETAL. That’s probably because that music is foreign and every song is completely different.If you want to avoid ruining your music, try to make a large playlist with different sounds and just keep it on shuffle or something, to avoid specific songs, bands, or even genres getting destroyed.BTW: Most of this music would never be played on the radio (Hell, I don’t even hear Queen on anymore, what happened to that!?) so the general populous overplaying a song isn’t an issue for these.

Well a few panic at the disco songs have violins in them (e.g nine in the afternoon) and a few evanescence.. theres a song by kate nash called the nicest thing (but u need to find the album version) and its amazing and really sad.. theres a band called Vitamin String Quartet and they do violin covers of allsorts e.g Paramore, Evanescence, Fall out boy, My chemical romance, Queen, Plain white T's, Panic at the disco, linkin park etc..
