What Are Some Good Unique Not As Popular Movies

What Makes A Movie Unique?

Breaking Formula is a big one. Movies have a specific structure to them this is pretty strictly adhered to. For instance, in a romantic comedy, you have the couple that doesn't really like each other, are forced together somehow, and end up figuring out they were meant for each other. We've all seen that countless times.

However, take a movie like 500 Days of Summer, where immediately the guy thinks he's found the woman of his dreams, and they like each other right away but as the film progresses it is realized that they are not meant for one another. That's different.

Also, going with a different narrative structure. Something like Memento, where the story is actually revealed by going backwards. Or how Tarentino likes to tell a story completely out of order.

This last thing that can make a film unique is visual style. Say what you want about Zack Snyder (yes Sucker Punch was atrocious) but when 300 came out, there was nothing else that looked like that. Another good example is Sin City.

What are some really good Hindi songs, which are not popular or underrated by the general public?

some of them are unplugged version. we are in a different time period now so every golden era music is not popular now and previous legends have been forgotten .These are from my mobile playlist :aaoge jab tum sajna(jab we met)kaise mujhe tum mil gayi(gajini)EACH SONG OF K,KRHIMJHIM gire sawanwo ladki hai kahan(dil chahta hai)kahin to hogi wo( jane tu ya jane na)aankhon ke sagar(shafqat amanat)aur aahista(pankaj udas)awarapan(kk)woh pehli baar( SHAAN)tumko dekha to(JAGJIT SINGH)DIL AJKAL MERI SUNTA NAHI(purani jeans)ham jo chalne lage hain(jab we met)tujhi me(crook)tujhe dekh dekh sona(turns out you clearly know this song)tu jo mila(papon version)tu hai asmaan me (KK)tu aashiqui hai(KK)Teri yaadontere bin yaara(its the total opposite of tere sang yaara from rustom)TU HI RE(hariharan)tadap tadap(unplugged)sun le re(madras cafe)sach keh raha hai deewanasaajna( i,me aur mai)khuda jane keO MERI JAAN (there are three different versions from tum mile, unplugged and raaz reboot and all of them are by KK)28.agar tum miljao( sherya ghoshal)29.mann mera(table no. 21)30.jaaney na tu(ali khan from pakistan on coke studio)31.jaan meri ja rahi sanam32.garaj baras (rahat fateh)33. ek pyaar ka nagma haiand abhi itna hi, there are a lot of songs on my pc.you may also like to hear “mai laut aaunga “ by kaash , “aahatein” by agni .THANK YOU

Why do people say movies aren't as good as they used to be?

you'll often find it's the older generation who tend to say that. They say things like 'they don't make em like they used to' and 'back in my day...' Honestly the truth of it is that often it's a complaint and I'm sure they complained about the things they had when they were our age.

If you want my opinion, yes some of the films we have are amazing because of the technology used, but some of the effects are way over the top whereas the older films were based purely on acting and the ability to keep the audience entertained. The effects back then were rubbish whereas some films now can use the effects to distract from the bad acting. Twilight does this (sorry but it does). You see vampires doing all sorts tricks but when it comes to the dialogue it is very poor.

Now good things we have are:
Harry Potter
Dark Knight
POTC was good until the 'On stranger tides' film which was just a flop.
Lord of the rings

Saw relies on effects and gore again- there is hardly any dialogue in between people screaming and begging.

Titanic is amazing. I have to say though that Romeo and Juliet with Leonardo Dicaprio in it wasn't as good as the one before with the guy that looked like Zac Efron. And that was an older film.

Best old films for me:
Three amigos (1986)
Monty Python and the holy grail (1975)
Psycho (1960)
Romeo and Juliet (1968)
Of Mice and Men (1992)
One flew over the cuckoos nest (1975)
Airplane! (1980)
Macbeth (1971)
A fish called Wanda (1988)
Chariots of fire (1981)
K-9 (1989)
Jaws (1975)
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971)
The sound of music (1965)
The pink panther (1963)
West side story (1961)

The romance in Romeo and Juliet could never be captured as it was in that film. Amazing love story.
Hope to have helped

Why Europe, Africa, and other countries don't make good movies?

Oh, you are so misguided and perhaps it is not so much your fault because unfortunately in the US, they don't screen many foreign films--believing that there is no market for it. I think that's pretty insulting to Americans, saying that people cannot watch movies with subtitles. Or maybe that's the terrible truth. In any case, what you are stuck watching is a lot of Hollywood blockbuster crap and whoever said that special effects makes for a "good" movie anyways? Even the great indie films that do get made in the US, end up in limited releases and hence falls under the radar, just as with many terrific foreign films. What you have to do is simply look for them, whether in the local theaters or the local rental store. Even the public library is a great place to access classic international films. Demand them if you must.

Also, remember that Hollywood remakes a lot of the international hits, using American actors and scenarios. Another shame........I bet some of movies you like to watch were originally made in other countries and you just didn't know. Like this year's Oscar winner, The Departed? Adapted from Hong Kong crime thriller, Internal Affairs. Thankfully,it was done fantastically by Martin Scorsese.

There are so many great movies out of Italy (ie Federico Fellini, Bernardo Bertrolucci, Roberto Rossellini), Japan (Akira Kurosawa, who by the way influenced the talents you mentioned like Lucas and Spielberg), UK (Hitchcock, David Lean), Spain (Pedro Almodóvar, Luis Buñuel, France (Jean Renoir, Louis Malle), Hong Kong (Wong Kar-wai, John Woo), Sweden (Ingmar Bergman), Poland (Krzysztof Kieslowski, Roman Polanski) and so on and so on....

So to answer your question: you ARE missing out.

What are some good non-stereotypical movies to watch high?

don't say dazed and confused, reefer-madness, half baked, or anything to do with pot. that's not the point. i'm thinking more along the lines of memento, eternal sunshine, a scanner darkly, or most recently inception. movies that are deep, mind boggling, weird, or just in some way unique and interesting enough that makes it worth being elevated for. not something a 16 year old watches because its 'cool' if you know what i mean. i'd give more examples but, ya know, the mind isn't functioning too well at the moment.
