What Are Some Good Universities In California Or Washington

Is CSU in California a good university?

Well it's a system of colleges, like the person above me said, and they're all mediocre except for Cal Poly SLO which is considered on par with the University of California, another system of California colleges that are for the most part superior to the Cal States. The UC system has colleges like UCLA or Berkeley, two quite well-known colleges. I would try to get an exchange there if you could.

The Cal States aren't great compared to the rest of the country- not as good as average. Even though Cal Poly SLO has great architecture and good business, along with good animal stuff.

What cities with universities in California have cold weather?

There are reasons why California is California. They are called Rocky Mountains. Ocean breezes blow up the sides of the mountains until they drop all the water they carry. That provides moderate temperatures all the time, occasional rain, and lots of positive ions, especially around Los Angeles. Positive ions make people feel wonderful, and that is why one American out of eight lives there. It is also why there is a desert at the top of the mountains. Washington has the breezes, but no mountains, and no bowl shaped areas to accumulate the ions, so Washington has rain and moderate temperatures and that's about all.

So what you want is simply the northernmost university in California, and that is Humboldt State University, 120 miles north of San Francisco.

Is washington state university a good school?

Its good but its not University of Washington at Seattle good. The WUE rate only applies to specific majors. If you are going to consider universities in Washington, check out UW Seattle. Its out-of-state tuition isn't that bad for non-residents when compared to what other public institution charges.

Which should I choose between University of Washington or University of California - Berkeley?

If you are considering going to a top grad school, your performance will be what gets you there, not the difference in reputation between Berkeley and UW. UW has an international reputation for engineering, hanging around the #50 mark in various rankings. That may not feel good when compared to Berkeley’s perennial position at the top of such rankings. Just realize that the academics who evaluate whether you are suitable for a graduate program understand that UW is a solid school and that they will evaluate you, not your school.

Can't decide on universities in California.... CSULA, UCR, USF, others...?

I don't know where to go for college.....

I want to head for California, or possibly Oregon and Washington.
But I really don't have a chance at UCLA, UC Berkeley, or those really good schools.

I feel confident about getting in schools like CSULA, UCR... etc.
But I've heard CSULA's education is low and not recommended.
USF is alright but not worth the cost.
UCR is a wonderful school but the city itself is boring.

I want a college that's not too hard, around the same as I mentioned, but also has an interesting, entertaining city along with a tuition cost that's reasonable for the education given.

Also, I want to attend a university where there's a lot of clubs, extra curriculars.... etc

If you go to any of those universities, you are free to give me more pros and cons or even deny what I've said I heard.

If you don't, you are free to suggest schools in California, Oregon, or Washington. :)

Why would someone choose University of Washington over UC Berkeley?

Both of them are top ranked schools (although Berkeley is definitely a league away at top 18 while UWashington is at 116 based on PayScale's 2015 top universities and colleges report 2015 - see Best Universities and Colleges) so the choice will just be narrowed down based on the chosen college major. One may be a better fit over the other depending on college major (in this case UWashington over Berkeley ). Of course, the most important is application. You should apply and see if you get accepted.Other factors include cost including scholarships, proximity to your location or residence, culture, and more. Here's a comparative report between the two schools:University of Washington (UW) - Main Campus School Salary, Average SalariesUniversity of California - Berkeley School Salary, Average Salaries

University of Maryland (Sergei Brin is from here)At all the above universities you can finish your masters in under Rs 25 Lakhs (assuming you are Indian, else 1$ = Rs 61.50). Arizona state universityHere your fees would be around Rs 40 lakhs. There are other universities as well. The thumb rule is that, state universities (University of "" or "" state university) are always cheaper. Private schools (Harvard, Stanford etc) have more brand value and are hence more expensive.
