What Are The Chances Of The Police Finding Me Uk

Help - the police are looking for me?

My work has called me for the second day in a row now, saying that the police have been coming in looking for me.

The first time they said they've been trying to contact me, and verified my mobile number ( I never got a call!) and today they've just come in again looking for me.

My co-workers said they looked/sounded serious and were worried enough to call me..

I haven't done anything! The only illegal thing I've done, is some drugs in the past, but that's it. I have two traffic fines also, one is on a payment plan being paid, and the other isn't due for another two weeks and I am disputing it.

This is literally all I could think of! Are they going to arrest me? Why didn't they come to my house if they're looking for me?

Help!

Chances of police recovering a stolen motorcycle?

If the bike was on the road long enough for you to see it twice, you may be dealing with a "joy rider". If that is indeed the case, it is likely the thief will dump the bike after a day or two. You may have a chance of recovery if the bike is found, but the condition of the bike could be questionable.

A professional thief is more likely to part the bike out and sell what he can for a quick profit. In this case recovery is extremely unlikely.

Hit and run by a car with temp tags whats the chances of finding them?

You should ask the police to ask the local chevy dealer. Do you know a color or some other marker they can narrow the request down with? Sometimes a color will rub off on the car struck.

Does the UK police ANPR check if the driver has a provisional license?

He will not get caught by ANPR because, as the name implies, ANPR cannot see who is driving a car. And ANPR cannot see he does not have an instructor with him. If a car could be legally driven by anybody at all, ANPR cannot decide that it is illegal. But, of course, if he is stopped for any reason, he will be expected to show his license, and will be caught. Police will be especially likely to check a young-looking driver. And, as well as being illegal, it is immoral. He is putting other people's lives at risk. He will, I expect, not think so; he probably reckons he is entirely safe, but just hasn't carried out the "formality" of passing the test. He is wrong. Even drivers who have passed their test are breathtakingly dangerous, for perhaps their first year. He does not have the right to put his self-confidence against a century of experience of learner drivers. He could kill - himself and others. If the law gets him, it will be for very good reason.

Should I call the police?

This person keeps calling me, when he calls it says "Unknown Caller" I picked up the phone, he told me "You better have a good lawyer, and then he gave me a phone number and told me to call it, he told me "if you ignore me I will find you and kill you" is there any way he can find me? I don't know how he got my number!!! Should I call the police? Is there anything they can do? I'm so scared!! The man had a scary voice. And last night, a car parked by window, I looked out, it was a man watching my house. He was there for about 30 minutes.

What’s the likelihood of UK police investigating shoplifting if the shoplifter has gotten away?

The first thing to appreciate is that all reported shoplifting crimes will be recorded. NCRS (National crime recording standards) dictate that this be so. What happens to those crimes is then very much dependent on how each force choses to deal with them. Many forces operate a sort of crime triage system where reported crimes are reviewed by an officer to decide whether further investigation is viable or proportionate. Obviously the quality of the evidence is a major factor. No CCTV or a lack of witnesses will clearly see a crime “screened out” at an early stage. However, even with CCTV and witnesses many forces still screen out such crimes if it is deemed that it simply isn't sensible to investigate further. Spending the equivalent of hundreds of pounds to investigate a minor theft of a few pounds worth of shopping is not in anybodies interest. This may not sit well with some, who feel that all crimes should be pursued, but its an unavoidable reality and a consequence of the pressures faced by police forces in the UK. Whether the shoplifter got away at the time isn't really the issue. It is worth noting that most forces will still investigate “series” or high value offences. Walk out of your local supermarket with £500 worth of goods not paid for or make a habit of it then you best hope you're not identifed. If you are then you'll likely receive a visit and an experience involving handcuffs, a search of your home and a trip to a police station.

If you are pulled over by the police in the UK and refuse to get out of the car can they force you out or do you need to get out of the car before they can arrest you?

The UK police will smash their way into your car to remove you if needs be.This was demonstrated in the case of Robert Clive Whatley a 70 year old man. The police chased him (he didn’t know he was being chased) when he stopped they lept out and smashed his windows in and dragged him out.Funny enough the police officer who broke the windows and dragged him out won compensation of £400,000 later on.Though it varies on the situation. There is a youtube channel called disi4h3 he actually won a complaint against the Manchester police. This caused the Manchester police to harass and target him even more. There is a video where he is in a van and refuses to get out until he is told why he has been ordered to get out.He refuses and is asked to turn off the video.More police arrive he eventually gets out of the van. The police shout stop resisting arrest and the video device gets smashed. It generally follows normal UK police rules. UK police can’t stop or arrest you for no reason at all. They have to have some sort of reason or suspicion. This reason can be incredibly flimsy. However as long as the reason exists the law will support the side of the police officer. While they can’t say I don’t like the look of you. They can say. You’re wearing too many clothes for the weather!I thought I smelled X on you.Your vehicle looks stolen (my dad had this when he was driving his new car back from the Toyota dealers). It wasn’t stolen and they went over it to look for defects to try and get him on something.Secondly if you don’t comply charges almost always get escalated no matter what. Years ago when the police had presence on the roads they would stop motorbikers and lecture them on safety. It was the time when we were all power rangers wearing full leathers and armored gear. They would stop us and lecture us on safety. Officially we were not under arrest and it wasn’t an official police stop. But if we didn’t listen it became a police stop.
