What Are The Job Opportunities For Aerospace Engineers.is Postgraduation Necessary After

Some questions about Aerospace Engineering?

I draw your attention to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics projections, estimating that the demand for aerospace engineers will grow much more slowly than for software, civil, environmental, petroleum, or biomedical engineers, and somewhat more slowly than for nuclear engineers; though a bit faster than for mechanical, chemical, and electrical engineers in general. Maybe Ottawa has a similar agency that could give you some information about the situation in Canada.

The demands of an undergraduate degree in aerospace engineering are at least as demanding as those in other specializations; whether you need a post-graduate degree depends on the prestige of your undergraduate institution and the quality of your performance there. E.g., the Aerospace Undergraduate program at U of Toronto would be as good as an MEng from some other places...

Any branch of engineering includes both office jobs, laboratory jobs, and "field" jobs. Aerospace opportunities being advertised right now appear to emphasize (a) software development or (b) customer relations...obviously (a) is an indoor job and (b) would take place in various venues (though still likely indoors).

What do you get an aerospace engineer for graduation?

Graduating from UCLA with an aerospace engineering degree. Need help on a practical gift idea :) not toys or flowers or candy. Something relevant to his field. Fancy pencils?

Is it better to major in mechanical or aerospace engineering?

Since you talk about a concern for jobs, i presume you also want to rank which is “better” in terms of the amount of options it will give you on the job market. The first thing to keep in mind is that you are not bound to the discipline you study at university. Even as a student of aerospace engineering, before my current job at Airbus I have worked for a bicycle manufacturer and have had the options of going into the energy sector (out of pure interest specifically wind energy) or even banking. Many of my friends from university are now in the automotive sector.Secondly consider the specific job market to the area (or at least the part of the world) where you can and want to work. There is a host of aero jobs in the US and countries of west/central Europe. Less so in Asia, and even less in Oceania and the central and south Americas. There are clearly a lot more general mechanical engineering jobs out there, but the thing to relize there is that the skills from an aero degree will be transferable to those jobs too. This is just my personal oppinion (having studied both mechanical and aerospace), but aero is a higher level discipline. Which in the end means that it will be easier to step down to a mech job with an aero degree than acquire the more specific skills for an aero job with a mech degree.Good luck, and I would be interested in what you choose in the end.

What is the best option for a Mechanical Engineer after a Bachelor’s in Engineering?

There are so many things you can do.But I will tell you first what not to do?Don’t do any higher education in India going for M.E/M.Tech or MBA, in India. If you want to take up a job in Industry your post graduation is almost useless 99%. You will regret this after 10 years of experience or more, which I am doing now. As far industry the number of years and the content of your experience and your achievements matter. 5 years down the line after you start work no recruiter will ever enter the educational area of your resume. It all matters only to entry into industry for the chance of campus interview whether you study in IIT or IIM and whether you are graduate/post-graduate. Later no one looks at it.If you are really interested interested in research then take GATE exam and get into premier institutes like IIT / NIT’s and sure pursue your PhD. Then you have to be clear that you are gonna start your career very late from rest of your friends. But MBA is a useless thing to do after engineering. It is a fashionable thing started few years back. But it is a baseless thing to do a technical under graduation and move onto a management career unless you found clearly engineering is not my thing and want to shift your career path from hardcore engineering. What to do?Instead of planning for a job plan for a career. To be very broad no matter what engineering you did two things are gonna rule the world from now.Energy - Alternative fuel sources, Electric carsWater - Water treatment, water structuresThis is gonna change the whole industrial world. Big oil companies are gonna lose their infrastructure and investments overnight which the oil barons are resisting and hiding to figure out how to save their ass.

Is aerospace engineering a good choice of career in India?

Yes it is. Aerospace is one of the most coveted fields of engineering today, since so many students wish to get into this sector. A lot of students now want to work with prestigious organizations such as ISRO, NASA, HAL, etc, and even the private sector such as Airbus, BMW, etc.I have collated all information in this article: Sky, Space and Beyond: All About a Career in AerospaceI really hope this gives you all the information you need. Wish you all the best!Disclosure: I am a Career Counselor and Expert at Mindler.

Can a mechanical engineer study aeronautical engineering after completion of his graduation?

Yes, U can do M.Tech Aeronautial/Aerospace Engineering with a B.Tech Mechanical Engineering.First, u have to qualify in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). GATE is conducted jointly by Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and seven IITs. GATE is held for PG admissions to Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture and Science programs offered across IITs, NITs and other leading centrally funded institutes in addition to many state universities as well. The minimum qualification for admission to M.Tech Aeronautical Engineering is B.E. or B. Tech. with at least 50% (60% for IITs) marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA from a recognized university and a minimum of 60% in class 10 and 10+2.The preferred undergraduate courses, for admission to M. Tech. Aerospace Engineering are B. Tech/B.E. in Aerospace/ Aeronautical/ Avionics/ CSE/ ECE/ Mech/ EEE/ EIE.IITs provide M.Tech Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering with four specializations and the eligibility criterion for each of the specialization is different. These four specializations are:Aerodynamics: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Civil Engineering with valid score in GATE (explained in admission process) in ME/CE.Dynamics and Control: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering/ Electronics/ Instrumentation Engineering with valid GATE scores in ME/EE/EC/IN.Aerospace Propulsion: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with valid GATE scores in ME.Aerospace Structure: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Civil Engineering with valid GATE scores in ME/CE.Mechanical Engineering is a very general and oldest Engineering branch. You can apply for all 4 specialization, and pick the specialization of your choice to pursue your M.Tech Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering

Aerospace and marines?

I want to major in aerospace engineering but also have a disire to join marines is there an oms in marines that relates to marines? Is there a job in marines that I can serve my country and fill my disire for aerospace?
