What Are The Most Poorest Cities And Poorest Streets In The Ukraine

What are the most poorest cities and poorest streets in the Ukraine?

Probably in the Donetsk basin/Poltava region. Some of the old soviet mining towns such as Luhansk. or maybe places such as Kirovograd ( it looked quite run down the last time i passed through ) That said people still manage to eat and Ukraine is not that bad generally compared to other places in the world.
Britain has some of the highest levels of child poverty in Europe, ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-22887005 ) and there are some seriously poor parts of America.

What are the most poorest cities and the most poorest streets in the Ukraine?

Why do you ask ? Do you want to go and distribute food ?

Or is it some sick idea of tourism ?

Where are the poorest areas in the city of Moscow?

The Kurskaya train station area has been a wild and sort of dangerous place in the past and even though some famous and very nice clubs like Ikra or Gazgolder opened nearby, one still needed to be careful when leaving at the end of the night. There are endless stories of friends who were beaten up and robbed brutally by gangs of suburban skinheads, but also “black people” as they call the people from Caucasus here. Our afternoon walk from Kurskaya Metro to Vinzavod is also a bit scary. Endless numbers of homeless drunks and drugged up people cross our way and even though it’s a bright summer day, it seems a bit scary to walk here. It’s not really a typical touristic area where you can walk with your camera on your neck and be safe. I’d still consider it a possibly dangerous area of Moscow.

What can you tell me about visiting Kiev, Ukraine?

It is costly to have a friends. But in case you are going to spent time and money traveling around the unknown streets with people who are very proud of their culture and business you are welcome. It has perls hidden in the streets ,forgotten history all around city center and a lot of “”pay me and i will show you the best Kiev places services. It is risky but romantic. In other hand your iphone can navigate you through the desert. The regular citizens are usually have a cool soviet myth you may use through your journey - foreigners is the salvation and rich gods here. You may use this knowledge feel good. However it simply depends on your type of rest or work.Regards,Maksym

Despite belonging to the richest continent, why are Ukraine and Moldova so poor?

I have visited Ukraine thoroughly and I have to say that it does not seem poor.I have been to Chernivtsi, Kiev, Odessa, Harkov and Mariupol near the war zone.I have seen no homeless in Ukraine - unlike plenty of them in RomaniaI have seen little buildings out of their place. In Kiev, a new neighbourhood was constructed in an abandoned part of the center, EXACTLY in the style of the 19th century - unlike the messy Bucharest.Kiev has giant green spaces between huge blockhouses, blocks in a circle surrounding schools and highschools, it is just awesome - unlike BucharestTrains are incredibly cheap. You can travel for 17 hours for 5–6 euros at the sleeping wagon. Sleeping wagons are the norm for long travels - unlike Romania, where the poorer ones have to endure 13–20 hours sitting, with a light not even turning off during the night. Some Ukrainian trains have a screen which tells you if the toilet is free and the temperature.Ukraine has amazing modern and accesible fast-food which is also traditional - Puzata hata is just so goodMariupol boasts huge steel factories, Azovstal. They are working. The city is a bit decrepit but very well planned. Some new blockhouses are being built. In Harkov you can see plenty of multiculturalism - vietnamese and blacks and a thriving cityUkraine is not poor. I would move there. I like it more than Romania. It is much more ordered and thought, with more beautiful cities (and women).Post-Soviet residential neighbourhood in Kiev - wide streets, bike lanes, well connected to the rest of the city, proper urbanism unlike new Bucharest:Mariupol has many trees and no fences. We have a fence obsession in RomaniaHarkov railway station:Train toilet, made to sit on it both on your feet or ass:Awesome urban planing in communist Kiev, schools without fences.

Is Romania the poorest country in Europe?

No, Romania isn’t the poorest. Moldova is. And the reports that show Romania as a poor country are misleading.Bucharest has an average per capita GDP 9% higher than the European average. Cluj has a average GDP 6% higher than the European average. Timisoara is 2% higher and Deva is 0.7% higher. [1]Romania is the SAFEST country in Europe among countries with over 5,000,000 people. Violent crimes/gun crimes are also virtually non existent.[2] You can walk at 2am in most neighborhoods and not be bothered by anyone. (Except maybe Ferentari/Rahova neighborhoods in Bucharest, can’t speak for other cities as I’ve only lived in Bucharest). And even Rahova, is mostly safe except for a few small areas. (But I don’t see any tourist visiting Ferentari, there are no hotels there or other attractions except drugs and prostitution, but if you are seeking these kind of “services” you are looking for trouble.) There are minor scams like being over billed for a drink at a bar, or being overcharged in a taxi are a bit more prevalent. But the “tourist” markup is very small in Real Money terms. The Taxis are also so cheap that even a big “tourist” markup is pennies when converted into euros. Same with a bar tab, when converted into Euros it comes out to very little.Romania produces the most engineers per capita of any European country. In Silicon Valley in the United States, Romanians outnumber even Indians among engineers.Romania also produces the most white collar (doctors, scientists, accountants, writers, etc) workers per capita of any European country. The bad reputation Romanians have around Europe is mostly caused by gypsies and not Romanians. Gypsies are NOT Romanian, they are nomadic people. Most originate from present day India.EDIT: To address allegations that I “slandered gypsies” I offer this study from the Romanian Ministry of Justice. [3] In 2013, Roma accounted for 68% of criminal indictments filed in Bucharest. Keep in mind that gypsies (Roma) account for roughly 3% of the Romanian population according to the most recent population census. The fact they account for 68% of criminal indictments is STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT. Pointing that out is a FACT, it’s not racist. If Roma want to be perceived in a better light, it’s within their power to patrol and clean up their own community and encourage education over criminality.Footnotes[1] Central Intelligence Agency[2] Romania[3] Arhiva | Ministerul Justitiei

Which areas of Kyiv (Kiev) are poor?

Edit:Very important to know that what will add to city’s look and sense of cleanliness are 2 things: coordinated termomodernization of buildings and professional street and park cleaning service that may be rented to clean buildings inside as well. not much more is needed. Right now if it comes to warming the building it is a patchwork, everyone on his own. It is way cheaper to order it for several buildings at once - and it looks way better than this kind of visual mess.Cleanliness: Kyiv is not as dirty as Brussels, but it could be as clean as Warsaw is. Not much more is needed - just a healthy habit of tenders for professional area cleaning services. The country only started it’s decentralization reform so I hope everything only lays ahead.Kyiv is rather safe city. There is some negative notion about Troyeshchyna, but I never tested it.Most exclusive are Podil and Lypky. But the city is actually really mixed. In my area I have a mix of settlements from 1950’s, 60′s and very modern, probably illegally built - illegal modern 25 story constructions are Kyiv’s nightmare.Majority of them are built in some green areas illegally cut. But they are no less safe than anything around them. It is a little bit like in Italy in a way - there were 2 journalists killed, by hired hitman last year. But if you are average citizen who has no clue about hidden pulse of big affairs, you are totally safe.Much safer than in many American cities, or much safer than in London, Brussels or any other big city of the West.
