Is a personal trainer worth it at the gym, charging $600 for 10 sessions, 55 minutes?

You first need to lose some excessive body fat and the best way to do this is to join a local gym. Your local gym should have cardio classes such as BODY ATTACK AND BODY PUMP, which I regularly attend on a weekly basis apart from my weight training routine. And these classes are very beneficial for you.

Body attack is very good for scorching fat and improve your overall fitness and confidence. Body pump is also cardio program, but it is weigh- based and emphasizes on volume rather than the amount of weights. But make no mistake, the intensity is very high and you will feel your muscle burning when you first started. However, body pump class teaches you how to correctly perform weight training, if you want to shape up your muscles and lose body fat ( given that you watch out for your diet ) quickly, do body pump and attack. They are painful at first, but stick with them and you will not want to miss a single session.

When you are familiar with the weight training techniques you learned from body pump, you can begin your weight training routine with correct form and posture. This way, you can save some money from hiring a personal trainer. A personal trainer can be necessary in some cases when one is completely new to weight training and needs some verbal encouragement and/or personalized program to achieve his goal, but in my honest opinion, if you can, attend body pump classes, you will learn to do what they do in the gym there.

If you must have a trainer, a few sessions would be enough, 10 is a bit too many, 5 would be enough. 60 dollars for an hour training is about right, but the trainer'd better be good.

Does running/jogging helps lose weight and man boobs?

duh its excercising isn't it?

Better to workout in the morning or night?

To be honest, after 10 years in the fitness business, 18 years working out, and, all the research that I have read, I can tell you unequivicable that -

It doesn't make a whole lot of difference when you work out .. as long as you work out consistetly !!

That having been said -

1. working out in the morning will help you get energized but, if you are not a morning person, trying to make yourself get up isn't going to help matters. Although, you might want to try it a few times and see if it does indeed get easier. You may find, once you start a morning workout, you will find yourself a little less lazy in the am

2. Depends upon your physiology and how soon before going to bed you are going to work out. Trying to sleep an hour or so after working out probably isn't the best idea. For most people, a regular fitness program helps them sleep better and wake up refreshed.

3. The best time to stretch is after you warm - up your muscles , morning or pm, as long as you warm yourself up (5 - 10 minutes of walking or general calestenics) it doesn't matter when you stretch ... just that you do it !!
