The top 3 qualified automatically. What a complete disaster!. Honduras made it to the 4th spot and had a playoff with Australia to see who gets the final green light and Australia it was who qualified for the WC.I went for my second choice after USA tanked in the qualifying campaign-Image Source : GoogleForza Italia!Guess what?They failed to qualify as well . End of my childhood hero Gigi Buffon’s career .To answer the question, Who are you supporting in the 2018 FIFA World Cup?I would say, particularly nobody. I really have no picks and will watch as a true blue neutral. Since I like underdogs, I will want some team from Africa or Asia doing well at the World Cup. I am tired of the big dogs from Europe dominating FIFA events . I would be happy to see a non European team win but I am not particularly passionate about the results. The best I hope is that it will be an interesting and a fun World Cup to watch.The best part of not qualifying for the World Cup is you are saved the heartbreak of the World Cup exit during the world cup itself . LOL. Smart move , TEAM USA! Very smart. Thank you for lowering our expectations and saving us massive disappointments. We don’t have to chew our nails for a penalty shootout or fret about getting out of the group stage. We just are gonna sit home and eat our donuts and pizza and beer and watch 31 teams end up being disappointed. LMAO.

Who will win the 35th match between Iran and Portugal in the FIFA World Cup 2018?
Portugal shall have the edge over Iran, but the game will not finish with a handsome margin. Reasons:-Portugal shall win becausePortugal has some extremely talented players. Iranian players lack the quality to match their levels.They are on form. They drew a close tie with Spain and won against Morocco despite close calls. They will be motivated by these two facts.They have worked out their tactics well to cover for their drawbacks, specially in defence.Cristiano Ronaldo. This man alone can be a difference once he gets going, and now that he has players like Bernardo Silva, Gelson Martins, Moutinho and Guedes to provide chances, he will be grasping them with all might.Iran, though, have a chance which depends all on themselves. This is due to:They have a compact tactics considering their strengths and weaknesses.They are motivated by the fact that they can qualify if they win and will stand a chance if it results in a draw.They played well against both Morocco and Spain, losing to the latter only by a goal that was poor luck, though winning the other game on luck too.I will be giving a 50% shot to Portugal, 30% to Draw and 20% to Iran.

Portugal has the ability to win on a good day, however, the team is NOT playing well. It is not surprising as they never start out at their best, despite the first game having been a thriller. Still, for a team that is not playing at peak level they are in pretty good position, should they continue to win. As in the last European Championship, Portugal started out bad, but this is the World Cup and they need to rev up soon, or they will have a hell of time making it to the top.
Who will win the 4th match between Portugal and Spain in FIFA World Cup 2018?
To predict possibilities, I would go with 75–25 Spain.Let’s have a look at their probable line-ups.SPAIN :-PORTUGAL :As we can see, Spain has a at least one of the top 5 players in the world as their options in each of the positions. They have a perfectly balanced squad. Portugal , on the other hand, may have some good players in a few positions but still lack the quality to match their neighbors. They have either old ,ageing players or inexperienced ones.Players to watch out for :Spain : IscoIsco has been a revelation for the national side. The old centre back pair of Pepe and Fonte shall have a tough time dealing with his dribbling and agility.Portugal : Cristiano RonaldoHe is the reason why this will be a contest. He has dragged his team through and is always a threat no matter what. He is one of the two best players on the planet and can score goals out of nowhere.DrawbacksSpain :Lopetegui sacked a day before WC.Lack of quality backup striker.Portugal :Lack of quality creators.Old centre backs and lack of sheer defensive quality in midfield to match the levels of Spain’s attacking mid fielders.
