What Are Those Pouch Things I Keep Seeing Little Kids Eating

Should I release my hamster to nature? My hamster is trying to "break jail" every night. I wonder if it is eager to be free. Will it be happier living in the wild?

If by "the wild" you mean inside your home, then by all means go ahead. He will love living under your fridge. Ours did, when he escaped. Make sure and leave out some food and water and he'll be happy as a clam. Oh, but he'll need a mate. The two of them will be happy under your fridge or they may decide to move into larger quarters behind the dishwasher when the kids arrive. They'll die eventually, probably from chewing on power cords or falling into the toilet. I don't know how ours did it, but he somehow found a way. (We found him before it was Too Late.) Some of their offspring should survive though, and continue to entertain you by climbing into your sock drawer and chewing up your socks to make a nest.In the outdoors, they will soon get cold and wet, and they won't know how to find food or evade predators, so that is not safe for them. They won't be happy at all.I think what your hamster really wants is some exercise. First, he needs a running wheel in his cage. This is an absolute necessity. Hamsters love to run and explore, that's why they love escaping. In measured wheels, they have been recorded traveling as far as four miles in one night! That doesn't mean they want to be fed to the neighborhood cats and owls in the great outdoors. We let ours out for a run every night, indoors of course. We taught them to come when we called. (They were all very tame to handle, so they were not scared of us.) I call a hamster by scratching and making scuttling sounds with my fingers on the floor. They are so curious about that noise that they always come to see if it might be another hamster. Then I just scoop them up. Sometimes they would fall asleep in certain favourite places, like my shoe cupboard. We got to know where to look for them. Don't ever feed them outside their cage (except as bait). If they can't find any food during their outings they are usually happy to find a treat back in their cage when they return. For the more skittish ones, another way to catch them is to put a small dark box on the floor. We used a tea cannister. Dark holes are irresistible to hamsters, they just can't help themselves, but must go in and take a look. Worked every time. We had full-sized hamsters, not the mini Russian ones. The mini ones are much harder to tame and catch, but I think the same techniques might work.

Am I RV camping ready and is it boring?

Well... you could enhance your survival skills:

Take your 4 year old on a hike. A 4 year old can't walk far so stay close and teach her/him about nature. That could take all day and the good news is it will wear him/her out so it's nap time. Yea!

I have a story. Once upon a time when my young son was still small enough to where I could carry him on my arm, the fuel pump in my pickup truck failed. I was in the remodeling business so the truck was a rolling hardware store. I knew how to switch out a fuel pump on a 1971 F-250.

So I and my young son walked several blocks to an auto parts store (like a NAPA) but they didn't have a fuel pump. On the way we discovered, between the sidewalk and the street, a tree (this was on Lankershim Blvd in the San Fernando Valley California) which had a million honey bees swarming around it.

So I picked up my son, cradeled him on my arm, advised him to make no sudden moves and we walked into the swarm. So there we were, millions of bees swarming around us, while I explained to him (I think he must have been about 3 or 4 at the time) about bees.

Traffic on that busy street balked at seeing me and son standing beneath the tree in the swarm of bees. We never got stung. It was surrealistic but I did it. Son is now 26 and doesn't remember it.

Eventually, when I couldn't get a fuel pump from the auto parts store, I reverted to Plan B: I duct taped a 2 liter soda bottle of gasoline to the windshield and used tubing from my plumbing supplies to give a gravity feed to the carb and drove the rest of the way home.

Problem nowadays is cars don't have carbs any more, it's all fuel injected. Dang!~ ;)
But it was a nice moment standing there in the midst of a million bees explaining to my son how nature works.
You might want to give it a try with your child.

If I stop eating sugar, will it eliminate my belly fat?

Damn. There sure is a whole lot of pseudo science round these parts. A carb is a carb. Meaning that if you cut sugar, and replace it with sweet potato, you’ll still have that belly fat. Here’s what science says on the subject.A carb is a carb. The research has shown that consuming different kinds of carbs doesn’t make a difference.Whether it’s high glycemic or low glycemic, or simple versus complex, the thing you need to be most concerned with is eating too many calories. The research has shown that 50 grams of calories from sugar and 50 grams of calories from sweet potatoes won’t make a difference for fat loss.So the answer to your question is: if you cut out the sugar, and don’t replace those calories with other things, then you’ll lose weight. If you do replace those calories with other things, then you’ll keep your current weight. You still shouldn’t eat sugar though.Sugar causes inflammation in the body, and inflammation can lead to all kinds of nasty disease. So stay away from the sugar as much as possible.I really can’t speak on this topic any better than Menno Henselmans already has,For your body composition, it doesn’t matter if a carb is classified as simple or complex or if it has a high or low glycemic or insulin load or index. Only the total amount of carbs in your diet matters and this only matters because carbs contain calories. For your health, the source of carbs is only relevant if you’re unhealthy. If you’re already healthy, it generally doesn’t matter. Before you go tell everyone I said it’s ok to stuff yourself with candy, please remember that this article only deals with carb sources at the level of macronutrients. Different carb sources contain not only different macros and different types of carbs, but lots of other stuff as well, notably micronutrients. I cannot stress this enough. Calories from sugar may not differ from calories from sweet potatoes, but sugar still contains empty calories, whereas sweet potatoes are packed with other stuff that’s good for your health. The sugar content and the insulin index of foods is normally irrelevant for bodybuilders. What matters is what else is in the food. In sum, a carb is a carb. From - The Science Of Nutrition: Is a Carb a Carb? Written By Menno HenselmansShould you still exercise? You should absolutely still exercise. And there are a couple of HUGE reasons for that,Exercise will make you feel better about yourself.Exercise will make it easier for you to prevent fat gain.So get to the gym man.

What are some slang terms used among police officers?

The most derogatory terms for the bad guys and citizens who are just pains in the rectum:A.H. = Adam Henry (A-dam H-enry) If you don’t get it…..sometimes you will hear it as “Jack Hole”…..now what starts with an “A” that ends with HOLE ?RICHARD CRANIUM= What starts with a “D” and is a nickname for Richard ? What is the non-medical layman’s term for the Cranium ? Do these clues HEAD you in the right direction ?

Why did my cat bring a dead rat to my doorstep and meow until I saw it? Why is she playing with it? What do I do?

A cat bringing dead prey, whether it be rat, mouse, bird or other types of prey can be a sign of the following:Your cat appreciates you are taking care of them, and they want to offer you something in returnYour cat wants to make sure you eat enough, cats actually feed their kittens this wayYour cat brings you a non-dead prey when they want to teach a kitten how to hunt and kill their prey. The kittens usually will start playing with it and play predator-prey.The constant meowing at you means they are trying to get attention from you and require appreciation. The only remedy is to thank your cat and appreciate their hard work. I tend to open the door very little when I suspect prey. When I ask them kindly to let go of the prey before letting them in, they usually do so. If not, they will usually eat it up and I close the door again. When they go inside without prey, I dispose of it afterwards on a alright matter. This can be either become compost in either container or part of “the bushes”.Today they came with a dead squirrel. It ended up in the compost container that they pick up two-weekly here.I wrote an article about Cats coming home with dead and half dead prey:https://cathabits.net/why-do-cat...To not have this sort of thing any longer there are two solutions:Have your cats in a catioKeep them insideThe third option would be to play with them inside a lot, so they get too tired to hunt outside, but that isn’t a sure way to prevent prey kills.

Annoying skinny pregnant women?

i know what you mean, my sister-in-law is so obsessed about how she looks. she is one of those people that every hair on her head has to be in place! after she had her 2nd baby she went and got lipo, and breast implants to get back her "perfect body"

How did you get thin?

1. Controlled Eating: I only eat when im hungry and try to stay away from sugars (candy, cookies, soda) The best Thing is Water It's good for your body and adds no extra calories, sugars or fat.

2. Portion sizes!: this matters the most your stomach is pretty small and when you keep cramming it with food till it hurts this causes your belly to pouch out making you look even fatter. When you go and eat out and you get a number 1 which includes a large fry a large soda and a double cheeseburger that is just WAY too much that could feed two people. instead get a single kids size burger with no fries and a bottle of water. But try to stay away from fast food.

3. What i think helps me the most is taking a multivitamin every day. I use One A Day: Teen Advantage. My theory on why this works is because we eat to get the minerals and substances we need but if you take the recommended daily value in a vitamin then you don't need to take in more materials. This help with Hunger Control.

4. Eat healthy: stay away from fast food and eat fresh food like something home cooked but remember PORTION SIZE IS EVERYTHING! if you don't have a lot of time there are some really good Smart choice microwavable entrees you can heat up in a couple of minutes that are really healthy. Stay away from anything that is brown.
** important rule: Crap is brown = if it's brown its crap**
yes this includes chocolate or cookies! Also some types of breads.

5. Exercise: This can help burn a couple of pounds. You can do something a simple as walking. you just need to be active. Take your dog for a walk or walk to the mailbox once a day.

6. Every other month do a detox diet: this consists of drinking juices to help flush out your body and gets rid of all the nasty crap inside you.

Why are parents packing lunches now a days?

Our schools here always have a salad bar. Everyday. There is always a main dish, always a fruit and always a veggie. Always milk. Little carbs, junk or anything. I never noticed the poor kids eating at school. If anything the poor kids pack lunches. My my sons school its always a pp&j slapped together and some chips and cookies. That's just lazy and gross to me. I can see the picky part, but schools always offer 2 choices at lunch. If you cannot decide between the two then I don't know what to say. These kids cannot be catered to forever.
