What Biology Topic Would You Be Interested To Learn About

What interests you about biology?

It's about us. Your learning about processes that you can see happening. You learn about why your heart beats faster when you run. Or why we need oxygen. How animals can adapt to their surroundings and the wonderful things that can be done with just four bases A, T, C and G.

I'm always interested in how we came to be, how over millions of years we developed from a single cell organism into self thinking beings that can control our own actions and build things like 30 floor towers, computers and the internet and actually keep people alive so long after they are supposed to have died.

Which is the most interesting topic in biology?????????????????

inverts! the sea cucumber will invert its stomach and intestines if mollested by a potential preditor. just spits it out its butt. the sea cucumber figures it will eat the body contents, and leave the cucumber unharmed. pretty smart animal. and it re-grows its missing organs to become fully functional once again.

I am interested in Biology, what should I learn first?

It’s such a huge subject, it's hard to decide what should be the basis of biological study. However, perhaps the best place to begin, is to study basic cellular structure and function. This is due to modern cell theory, because biology is the natural study of living organisms and life. All living organisms are composed of one or more cells. The cell is the basic unit of structure in organisms. All cells come from pre-existing cells.Energy flow occurs within cells.Hereditary information is passed on from cell to cell (DNA).All cells have the same basic composition.Start from the most basic unit of life and build from there.

Why is biology so interesting?

What is NOT interesting in biology should be the question :PBiology is amazing. When you study and read about it at a molecular level or even on the basics, its fascinating.I remember when i first got hooked to it. It was probably middle school, and we were having a class in which the teacher was telling us about the different systems of the body like the respiratory system, the cardiopulmonary system and how they are related and stuff. And i was sitting there with my jaws dropped in fascination just wondering " how the hell is that even possible". The body  functions like a well oiled top geared engine. When you think about it, the human body is a machine more efficient than any engine or device man will ever make. The thing that is interesting about Biology the most is that you always always learn things you don't know. Your always sitting there staring in fascination as the professor explains about the immunological response to the HIV virus or the role of CDK's in the cell cycle. When your studying physics or chemistry, you can always sort of relate to the stuff as in " ah yeah i kinda know how this works" but with biology that stuff is happening right inside you. That's what's interesting to me. There is this perpetual desire to learn more of it as i keep goingDon't you want to find out everything about it? and how it works and what makes it work and what makes it stop working?  and how do you cure diseases or what causes them or how does your body work? or any living organismsIf yes, then biology it is for youIf you still don't find it interesting, then it's probably not your cup of tea :P

How do I get myself interested in biology?

I don't get the thing; whether bio is forced upon you for study? or is it like you wanna study it sincerely but can't focus?I'd say that every subject of science is interesting; the only thing it takes is to change your perception about it, if you feel that subject boring. You might see bio, now-onwards, as a creative visualisation of the stuff happening inside a living being, rather than the utter images and texts inside the big thick books. One of my friends said me once: 'the mechanism of folding your hand (that includes the movements of bones, tissues, ligaments, etc., there were some more jargons he used to describe that) is so awesome that it took me a whole animation in my mind to enjoy it understand.' Please mark the italicised words: you need to 'enjoy the understanding of the subject'. Change the viewpoint of yours towards the subject now onwards, and adjust yourself to enjoy it. I bet you will excel in that after doing so! Also, try watching some related stuff, like a TV series 'House MD', as stated aptly in one of the answers.     All the best; thanks for asking..!

Human Biology TOPICS for a presentation?

One of the interesting topics in Human Biology is nutrition. Proper Diet, Vegan Diet, Obesity and so on are just many issues that are relevant with nutrition. More and more people are conscious of their diet and there are some who are willing to pay professionals to help them with their meal plan.

Other human biology topics are genetics, epidemiology, evolution, and so on, which are also equally interesting. It depends on which are you feel you are more interested to learn more and you are confident that you can also share it with others.

I'm a freshmen in high school and I'm very interested in learning about genetics and cell biology. Where can I start?

Well…. science is a very vast subject …where ever u start u will end up always learning new things and facts…so to get a grip on a particular topic u need to have a clear cut idea about the basics so follow u r academy textbooks thoroughly later if u want to go deep into the subject the following books might help u:1. Albert's molecular biology - for cell biology2.Campbell the cell.- for cell biology3.karp - cell and molecular biology4.Gene 8 lewin - for genetics5.Griffith , genetic analysis6.principles lf genetics by tamarin.U can follow online classes of “viable cells” and “shomus biology” for more information.
