What British Band Had A Hit Song Called

Which bands have songs with same name as the album name, and the band's name?

Here is a classic: The group Kool & The Gang had a song Kool & The Gang on their debut album Kool & The Gang. The album was released in 1969, though the group was formed in 1965. Over a half century later they are still going strong with four original members and many other long-timers.One example few people know and even fewer would admit they know, Village People had a song called Village People on their first album, Village PeopleThis one does not quite qualify but I thought it is worth mentioning, the band Chic has a song called “Chic Cheer” on their album C’est ChicUPDATE February 14, 2019:Along with fellow British metal bands that have been mentioned by others such as Black Sabbath, Motörhead and Iron Maiden, Angel Witch also had a song of the same name on their debut album of the same name.UPDATE February 17, 2019:Another band that, like Chic, had an album and song with nearly but not quite the same name as the band itself is The S.O.S. Band. They had an album called S.O.S. and on that album they had a song called S.O.S. (Dit Dit Dit Dash Dash Dash Dit Dit Dit).

Has anyone ever heard of the British ska band called Uncle Brian?

Yes.

Okay, the band HIM has a song called "Wicked Game"....?

========================================...
Cover versions

The Finnish band HIM remade this song, first using it in their demo, then their EP 666 Ways To Love: Prologue, then another recording on their first album Greatest Lovesongs, Vol. 666, and lastly on the British and American versions of their sophomore album Razorblade Romance. The last recording they made of it then reappeared on their compilation album And Love Said No - The Greatest Hits 1997-2004. With "Wicked Game" on their EP and first album, HIM gained quite a bit of fame in their native Finland. HIM frontman/singer/songwriter Ville Valo had this to say about "Wicked Game": "I went to Pasila's library and borrowed the soundtrack-vinyl of Wild At Heart and recorded it on tape. So with Linde we tried to 'learn' the song from the tape. It was kind of funny, that we learnt the song a bit wrong. We didn't hear the guitar parts well enough from that 'bad quality' tape. We also heard the lyrics wrong, and when the song was later recorded to our first EP, there were a few funny mistakes in the lyrics."
The video artist Pipilotti Rist also recorded a version of this song and made a video shot in the interior of a European café.
Irish band JJ72 released an acoustic version of the song on their 2003 UK single release 'Always and Forever'
Giant Drag added a cover of the track to the European release of their Hearts and Unicorns album
The German dance/techno-outfit Novaspace recorded a version of the song for their 2004 album Cubes.

How come the British and Australians lose their accent only when they sing? ?

Newsboys, an awesome band. You have good taste and GO(O)D knowledge! (Have you heard of Casting Crowns too?sorry just curious)
Believe it or not even when I sing an american song, I probably don't hit the right tones, but you will not hear an accent. And I'm from Germany! Have you ever heard them talk? Well it's gotten better with the next generations. My friend, she like a mom/grandma to me lives here in the US for over 40 years and her accent sounds like she arrived here yesterday.Hard to understand sometimes but VERY lovable.I should make her sing hm?That's going to be an interesting experiment.Artists like from the "old" Rock Band Scorpions for example their lead singer is a native german.Even Singers from Turkey like Tarkan and Mustafa Sandal sing american without anybody noticing anything foreign.except of the different rhythm in background music (bellydance stlye?)
American music artists how ever, are easier to identify when they sing in another language than their own.Did you know the Elvis recorded some songs in german? It sounds sooo sweet. No really it does! For the simple fact that my native tongue seems to sound a little bit harsh to other countries ,but sung and spoken especially by americans makes it sound allot softer and to us germans even cute (not mend to be offensive)Julio Ingelesias, spanish idol and father of Enrique,is or was a Superstar there, for like it seems, centuries sang mostly in german. He made the german Frauleins go "bananas" over him.Even my own mom started melting away, true story!
Now ,thanks to you, I think ,I should sing when answering people from now on, so I don't feel that awkward about the way I talk american anymore. That also could avoid cruel question of my homeland and it's history! Thank you for your question and for making my day ending with positive thoughts
We should all sing more often. The right songs ,of course .For the best reason - we may get along better and overlook diversity and differences

I'm looking for the title of an old song that has "Louie louie louie louie" in the chorus. Any ideas?

It's called "Brother Louie" by the Stories

She was black as the night
Louie was whiter than white
Danger, danger when you taste brown sugar
Louie fell in love overnight.

Nothing bad, it was good
Louie had the best girl he could
When he took her home to meet his mama and papa
Louie knew just where he stood.

Louie, Louie, Louie, Louie
Louie, Louie, Louie, Lou-I
Louie, Louie, Louie, Louie
Louie, Louie you're gonna cry.

There he stood in the night
Knowing what's wrong from what's right
He took her home to meet his mama and papa
Man he had a terrible fight

Louie nearly caused a scene
Wishin' it was a dream
Ain't no diff'rence if you're black or white
Brothers you know what I mean.

Louie, Louie, Louie, Louie
Louie, Louie, Louie, Lou-I-I
Louie, Louie, Louie, Louie
Louie, Louie you're gonna cry-y.

Louie, Louie, Louie, Louie
Louie, Louie, Louie, Lou-I
Louie, Louie, Louie, Louie
Louie, Louie you're gonna cry.

Louie, Louie, Louie, Louie
Louie, Louie, Louie, Louie, Louie, Louie, Lou-I
Louie, Louie, Louie, Louie
Louie, Louie you're gonna cry.

Louie, Louie, Louie, Louie
Louie, Louie, Louie, Lou-I.
