I read an answer claiming that 16 year olds have no judgement and I started laughing. We do have some judgement.I understand what you must be feeling and thinking as a mother, which is completely normal. The fact that you're worried is totally acceptable and you have a reason to be. It's not much about the age gap, since it's just three years. There are relationships where the gap is even ten years or more.The concern should be in Miami.If the trip does happen, they will have sex. There's no mystery there. A couple alone in a romantic weekend… what do you expect? Once again, I understand why this worries you. A pregnancy would worry anyone. But know that sex shouldn't be seen as taboo. Sex isn't a burden as one answer suggests. It's something natural. As long as your daughter is responsible and knows of the risks, what's the problem?Letting her go to another state alone with the dude may have its greater risks, because there have been stories of similar scenarios where things turn out… nasty.Do you trust the guy? Do you know about his family, his history? You should know the most you can about him before coming up with any desicions. If the guy is shady, by no chance in hell let her go with him. I know 3 months may not be enough to establish trust, but there is a possibility that the guy won't do anything we don't want to think of.Consider allowing this trip if both your daughter and her boyfriend prove to you that they are trustworthy.Another alternative: invite the guy to your state instead for the weekend, and let them at least stay somewhere where they can be alone. I mean, it would make you feel less worried than in Miami, right?I hope this helps you some way.

Where's the best place to go on vacation? I'm an 18 year old boy. I'm thinking Miami, NYC, or Chicago.?

I've been to 37 countries (13 Caribbean nations) and 41 states.  By far the best vacation we have ever taken was to Alaska.  We took the train from Anchorage to Talkeetna where we got on buses to Denali. The next day we took a bus 98 miles into the park.  Denali Park is larger than the state of Connecticut.  We went as far into the park as you can go in a vehicle.  We saw grizzly bears, dall mountain sheep, caribou and moose.  We spent the night at Talkeetna Lodge and the next morning the clouds parted and revealed Mt. McKinley or Denali, "The Great One".  Back on tour buses to Anchorage and then on to Seward where we boarded a cruise ship.The cruise was awesome.  We stopped at four ports.  While at Juneau, we did a whale watching excursion and saw several humpback whales.  We went to the Mendenhall Glacier and followed a black bear around for about 45 minutes.  Juneau is the only US state Capitol that is not accessible by land.  We finished the cruise in Vancouver, where we boarded a bus to Sesttle.  We spent three days there with friends and flew home.
