What Can I Do To Save Money And Get Extra Money

Save money or spend money?

That balance is different for everyone. If you are young and just starting out in life, you have the luxury of making that money later. But the extra money might also give you a good head start for a life together.

If it were me, I'd figure out what my financial goals were and then figure out if that money would bring me much closer to my goals or only a little bit closer. You have to balance this with what you think you'll earn in the future.

If you're studying to be a lawyer or doctor and are going to make a lot of money anyway, forget about going overseas; the money will come. But if you're studying business and a year of foreign experience would not only earn you lots of money but also enhance your resume so that you could get a better job when you come back, then it might be worthwhile because it would help you with the rest of your life.

How to save money/earn money for a car?

I m trying to save up for a car. I m planning on buying one on cragistlist, so not a new one. i"m so bad at saving money. I usually blow my paychecks 3 days after I get them. Tips on how to save money and how to earn extra money? I already have a job, but I need money fast. My paychecks are usually $350-$450 every 2 weeks

What is the best way to save money to get a boob job?

I wouldn't skimp in the area of boobs!!! They are very important to a woman's sexuality, and to save a buck and risk having a bad job is not a good idea. I would not just go anywhere either. Make sure that the doctor is actually licensed and has been in business for at least 10 years. You want someone with a lot of experience, and if possible you want to be referred to him by someone you trust. This way, you will have seen his work, and know exactly what to expect. I would even run his name on the internet, and by the better business bureau to see what people are saying about him. I'm sure you'd much rather have an "A cup" than a botched job. Save your money, and get it done right!!!

(Also, check with men around you and see what they like if that's what you're trying to attract...many men don't like boob jobs, especially if you can see the bag thru your skin while you're on top!)

How to make Extra money as active duty military?

Just wondering if anyone knew of an alternate form of income for an active duty Marine. Answers like " get promoted" or " sell your old things on eBay" are not welcome. Any other information is more than welcome and much appreciated , thanks! Ps: my schedule is different every week which eliminates the possibility of a traditional part time job

I am unable to save money. What can I do?

First things first: do a buy nothing month. This is where except for necessary groceries, rent, and other bills you don't buy anything. No eating out. No new clothes. No alcohol. No ice cream. Think of it as a financial cleanse. (If you are bored, get a library card. In addition to books, they have movies and often have free events you can go to). Also, in the grocery store, look for the non brand name products (usually not at eye level) and compare prices. It may only save you a few cents or a dollar per item, but it adds up.When the month is over, you can start buying things again, but remember:If something is on sale, you are only saving money if you needed to buy that item anyways. For example, if you see a leather jacket on sale for 50% off (say $500 instead of $1000) it's a great deal, but if you weren't planning on making that purchase, that's still $500 you weren't planning on spending. If you want or need something, budget for it. continuing witg the leather jacket example: if you want a leather jacket, look at how much you can afford. Than research different brands and styles to see how much one you like will cost. If it's more expensive than your budget, make a plan to save for it, than purchase.Credit cards are not extra money. Never use more credit than what you can pay off at the end of the month. If you have trouble with this, cut up your credit cards. If you must have a credit card, don't have more available credit than 2 weeks worth of salary. This will help ensure you can pay off the entire bill at the end of the month. (Never do the minimum payment thing-interest will kill you)Of course, these tips are assuming you're making enough to make ends meet, but in any case, this should help you stretch your paycheck and avoid crippling debt.Oh, and one last piece of advice (while on the subject of finances): Payday loans will skin and eat you alive. You're better off not eating for a week than getting a payday loan. The interest rates will murder you in a slow and torturous death.A $100 can easily turn into thousands of dollars of debt. I've never gotten one, but just search Google for payday loan horror stories and you'll see tons of stories with situations like I described above. It's not worth it.P.S. I'm not a financial advisor: I'm just good with finances and I used to watch a lot of “Til debt do us part”.

Why is it when you get some extra money you usually also get an unexpected extra bill or expense?

In my own case, most “unexpected” bills should have been expected (and budgeted for), in which case I didn’t really have the “extra” money in the first place. For example, if I ignored the fact that my car would need new tires after 60,000 miles, and therefore was not setting aside amount to cover their future replacement, the $400 in my bank account that I thought was “extra” money might now “unexpectedly” have to be use to replace my tires. This example can be applied to everything we own that will eventually wear out and need replacement (automobiles, RVs, roofing, flooring, heating and cooling equipment, appliances, computers, smartphones, lawn and garden equipment, etc.), as well as to non-monthly bills that are accumulating behind the scenes (insurance premiums, property taxes, license tabs, health and dental care, etc.).Unfortunately, if the average wage-earner forces themselves to set aside a monthly amount to cover the future replacement of all of their assets as they need replacing and all non-monthly bills as they come due, they would probably never really have any extra money at all.The bottom line is, unless we are living well beneath our means, we must choose between having “extra” money that is continually wiped out by “unexpected” bills, or having very few unexpected bills and no extra money.Since I work hard to eliminate unexpected bills (anticipate and prepare for them), I rarely find myself with “extra” money. :-)Best wishes,Dan

What is a good way to save money with a small salary?

I think I am Qualified for this answer -According to me there will be two step for saving money 1st one would be save money and second would be create more money.Save Money - :1. Put the money aside that you want to save then plan your month with the rest of the money.2. Set your priorities with rest of the money and work on them accordingly.3. separate your needs and wants and live on your needs not on your wants.4. Adjust your needs as well.Make more money -:Go for second income as well. As by only saving you can never save so much money with a small salary. try to work on some weekends, I would suggest to work on contract basis/freelancer so that you are not always bound to anyone take a project finish it, take rest for a while and enjoy with extra money that you earned and then go for next project when you are ready. Some points to remember -: 1. Never adjust so much that you kill your interests, put some money aside(let say 10%, money will grow with your salary) for the things in which you are interested. 2. Never adjust on a healthy diet (I have seen some of my friends doing so), if you are doing so you are killing yourself.Summary -  So after considering all the three points mentioned above that's how it goes.Keep 10% aside for your things of interests.keep 20% aside for your diet.keep 30% aside for your needs(House rent, travelling fare, little work of maintenance of various things).keep 10% as buffer for any of the above. Now you can save 30%(which is really a significant amount) of your salary. at the end of the month(or whatever your cycle is for getting paid) what ever extra left from that 70%, save that too.chase your wants from extra income, I would never suggest to save that extra income unless you really need to.P.S. This is my own experience(personal and observed), this is a way of saving money but not the only way for it. Percentage that I mentioned above, works for me, you may plan accordingly. Thanks for A2A Manderas Hailu

How does one save money while living in NYC?

I moved to New York City in 2012 and worked as an AmeriCorps member, making just over $1,000 a month. Saving money means that you are either reducing your current spending or increasing your income. Here are some of my tips on how I’ve lived on a budget and saved money in NYC:Buy cheap groceries. Trader Joe’s is probably the most affordable in the city and you don’t sacrifice quantity. If you have to eat out, do it cheaply. Deli buffets are half off after 3pm and there’s dollar pizza everywhere.Buy bulk home supplies online (e.g. paper towel, toilet paper). Boxed has pretty good intro offers. You can always rotate which company you use, so you can take advantage of the first time discounts. Here’s my referral link for $15 off boxed: GIVE & GET $15Get a credit card with an intro offer and high cash back and use it plus the rewards! Getting $100 for free, on $1,000 worth of purchase you are probably already making is worth it. American express gives you 3% cash back on groceries. Here’s my referral link: REWARDS FOR YOU AND YOUR FRIENDI have no shame.Entertain yourself cheaply. Don’t buy tickets to Meadows or expensive broadway shows. Find free or cheap things to do.I subscribe to the skint and pulsd nyc for daily emails on free or cheap things to do.You can always get discounted broadway tickets by going to TKTS.Get a side hustle. Walk dogs via Rover or Wag, become a tutor, sell stuff you make. Do anything you can to earn extra money and put that money directly into your savings account.Buy discounted/used items. Never buy anything at full price. You can find decent and brand name clothes at consignment shops like 2nd Time Around, Buffalo Exchange and Crossroads. You can find free items through the Freecycle community.
