A lot of teenage girls are completely different from each other so it would be impossible for me to help you without knowing her.I advise paying attention to what she likes. What kind of music does she listen to? If it's a popular band, then get her a shirt of that band. If she's into anime, buy her merch from an anime you know she watches. If she likes to wear makeup, get her some lipstick (make sure she doesn't already have that color and do NOT get her those stupid cheap makeup kits you'd give to an 8 year old, she'd be pissed).Honestly? Just pay attention to her interests, things she talks about often or maybe something you see in her room a lot and get something accordingly. However, make sure it's good quality (it doesn't have to be expensive! You can find good quality for cheap if you look hard enough!) and that she doesn't already have it. Or better yet, just ask her what she wants for Christmas.

having a girlfriend, and looking from the opposite end, being a guy, I don't care what my girlfriend gets me. She could give me a rock that has "I Love You" painted on it and I wouldn't care. Of course, a hat or something he could wear would be a nice, and easy gift, but how much effort do you put into that? Besides, unless he will never grow at all anymore, he will probably outgrow clothes. Getting him something you made, not to wear, but as a memory, will last his whole life, and he'll always remember you. Besides, it's only 3 months, it's not a huge amount of time. This is your first Christmas together, so I'm sure he'll like whatever you give him. Good luck with the gift, and if he doesn't like something you made, then he's a spoiled brat and he's in it for real presents, not for compassion or you. But I'm sure he's not like that. :)
