What Can Mars The Of War Do What Are His Powers

What are Ares Powers?

Ares is nothing but the personification of bold force and strength, and not so much the god of war as of its tumult, confusion, and horrors.

In the Iliad, he appears surrounded by the personifications of all the fearful phenomena and effects of war, but in the Odyssey his character is somewhat softened down.

Where does God get his power?

If you believe in God I was wondering if you ever gave much thought to where God gets His power. How does God turn His Will into reality? I have read the Bible cover to cover more than once and I don’t recall seeing a verse that really explains where God gets his power.

Earlier I asked Y!A where Satan gets his power and most said that Satan doesn’t have any power except what we give him by choosing to follow him and not God. Does God also get His power from His followers? Perhaps that is what most atheists would say, but that doesn’t explain the creation of the universe.

Believers say that God “spoke” the universe into existence. I think they meant God “willed” the universe into existence since there was no air wherever it is that God dwells and as far as we know God doesn’t have a mouth. So how did God get the power to do this? God says (thinks) “Let there be light” and suddenly there is! If no one and no thing endowed God with this power where did it come from? Did God acquire this power simply because he was the first “self-aware” being?

That brings a very interesting point to the table. Is existence tantamount to being self aware? We know that things that are not self aware like rocks and trees still exist so is it possible that our consciousness existed even before our bodies? If so then how do we know for certain that God was the Alpha Spirit?

My husband, a devout Christian, had an interesting answer. He says that God doesn’t get his power from anywhere God simply Is power. My husband always takes a very logical but simplistic approach because those are the hardest to refute. My rebuttal is that the wielding of power requires conscious control and that necessitates a separation. Electricity, for example, may follow laws, but it doesn’t have a mind of its own.

If no one can prove, postulate or even conjecture about the source of God’s power then how do we know that it is His to command and he didn’t usurp it from someone or something else like Satan did? Looking at all the earnest and deserving prayers that go unanswered, could the atheists be right? Is the only power that God has given to Him by believers?

So I ask you to put some deep thought into this question and give me your best hypothesis concerning where God gets his power.

Put on your armor, mount your steed, and let the intellectual jousting begin! :)

What powers did the Greek god Ares possess?

Ares possesses tremendous strength, though he is now perhaps the strongest of them, rivaled only by his half-brother Hercules. Moreover, he is a master of conflict and strategy with centuries of experience in the field, and has complete telekinetic command and mastery over any weapon or armor. He also possesses speed equal to that of Hermes once he absorbs massive amounts of the violent energies that give him his powers. Pertaining to his being a war god, violent actions and emotions such as anger, hate, death and bloodshed make him stronger and heals any wounds he may receive as his soul is able to absorb the psychic energy created by such events. His armor is virtually indestructible and his weapons are greater than mortal ones. He can shapeshift into any form he wishes and can teleport himself and others. At one time, he was also recognized as the Death God of the Greek Pantheon, having control over the dead and able to resurrect and command a whole army of undead from the Underworld to do his will, and then, send them back whenever he wished. Being a god, he is also immortal and cannot be harmed by mortal weapons, only magical ones.BIE BOI

How does the Mars Rover "Curiosity" power itself?

The plutonium core generates heat just sitting there. Then something called a thermo-electric generator takes that heat and converts it directly into electricity. It generates about 2000 watts of heat, but only about 110 watts of electricity. It is horribly inefficient. The better point here is that all that heat helps the rover stay warm during those cold Martian nights.

They don't use solar panels exclusively because Curiosity is much too big to be able to move around while also carrying a set of panels big enough the gather the necessary power. It's a nasty power to weight ratio thing. It is made worse by the extra distance that Mars is from the sun. Even the best solar panels just can't generate enough power.

What special powers does ares have?

Ares is the roman god of war, blood, and destruction. He's often called mars, like the (blood colored) planet. He was the son of zeus & hera, and the brother of Athena, the goddess of the hunt.

Goddess minerva's powers please help.?

Minerva's powers:

-the virgin goddess of wisdom and war, she was invincible in war and smarter than even her father, Zeus.
-very peaceful, only fought when her reasonings failed (opposite of her brother, Ares/Mars)
-The owl, especially the wise Barn Owl, was her special bird, and she was the patroness of the olive crop and of the capital city of Greece. (Athena = Athens)
-She was merciless when angered; for example, the gorgon Medusa had offended Minerva and thus Medusa was turned intoa hideous monster.
-However, she could be quick to correct herself: once she blinded the man called Tiresias because he accidentally looked in on her while she bathed, but then Minerva immedietely gave him the ability to see the future in compensation (this led him to help Oedipus and Odysseus later on)

I'm not sure if this is whatt you meant by "powers", but keep in mind the Greek/Roman gods could do whatever they wanted...there were no limitations concerning their powers unless another god/dess made it so.
