What Careers Deals With Pregnancy And Babies

Are there any other careers that specialize in pregnancy other than obstetristics?

You could be a labor & delivery nurse. My best friend just had a baby last week and while I was in the hospital with her, she had her own nurse who came in every hour to check her stats and the baby's stats and prepare for the birth. I thought it was a pretty cool job.
Or you could become an ultrasound technician.

Career's involving pregnancy?

Ok well, lets see there are many different careers involving pregnancy and children and things of that sort. Like becoming an Obsetrician or a Gynecologist which prescribes prenatal and postnatal care, performs deliveries in maternity cases but they also require medical degrees.
You can also become a nurse-midwife and they care for expectant mothers and even newborn babies depending on the exact one you pick but they require an undergraduate degree from a nursing school.
You can also work with children and become a pediatrician, a neonatal nurse or even a pediatric nurse.
Personally I LOVE working in day cares. the kids are so fun to play with and when your kids are old enough to go to day cares and what-not then you get to see you children at work as well so they dont feel like they dont have there mother around that often and the will feel better about being at a day care/child care place because they will know you are there and that you can see them and maybe even be the teacher or assistant teacher/helper for your childs class!
i know you mentioned pregnancy but the other child related careers are pretty cool too. =]
I took a couple child development classes and a book of mine has this website they suggest which is:
www.mhhe.com/santrockc9
it has more detailed descriptions of the careers i listed and more careers as well. Hope that helps you out a little bit! Also, maybe look up Nursing school or Child Development Schools and what-not, they will give you ideas of some careers you might be interested in. =]

Any careers that deal with pregnant women and prenatal care?

I don't quite want to be an obstetrician-- too much school. But a sonographer isn't...idk "official" enough for me. I still want to do the four year university thing but I haven't found anything else besides those two occupations...Do any of you have any suggestions?

Some careers involving prenatal development?

You could go into the fields of nutrition or exercise and specialize in learning about pregnant women. An example of a job would be working as a nutritionist with WIC.

You could learn to be an ultrasound technician. You could also go into nursing and work in an OB/GYN office. You would work with pregnant women, but not be involved in the childbirth aspect.

You could do prenatal massage.
