What causes the sour taste in your mouth before you vomit?

Bile which your body produces naturally to help coat and protect your esophagus from the stomach acid. That is why many Bulemics have throat cancer and bleeding ulcers because when you induce vomitting your body does not produce this natural bile to help protect your esophagus.

What causes my mouth taste sour after eating sweet or cake?

Hello!!!The answer to this question is really simple. After eating sweets or cakes, the some sugar or starch is left in your mouth and on your teeth. Well, your digestive system decides to release enzymes through your saliva, into your mouth. This breaks down the sugars, as well as making the bacteria in your mouth release malic acid. So, really all your tasting is the malic acid that is being created to destroy any leftover sugar and starch. Sometimes the sourness can be strong, while sometimes you won’t be able to taste it at all. The stronger it is, the more sugars you had left in your mouth.I hope this answered your question!!! Thanks for reading,Eleanor.

How can i get rid of bad taste caused by flonase?

Use your right hand to spray into your left nostril and be sure to lean slightly forward while aiming the spray toward your ears. Spray twice and then sniff lightly in to keep it from dripping. Repeat the procedure on you right nostril using your left hand. Most of the medicine will stay in the front of your nose and not make it all the way to the back of your throat.
The more you keep the medicine to the lateral parts of your nose and in the front, the less you will taste it. The medicine is meant for your nose not your throat.
If you don't like the taste of it you can always switch to nasacort or nasonex. Most ENT's believe all nasal steroids are identical. The best one to avoid bad taste is Veramyst.

What could cause a sour taste in mouth with occasional light yellow coating no pain?

It's probably a bacteria, similiar to thrush. Go to the web md, you can type in your symptoms and it will give you a list of probable diagnosis. From what I learned in Microbiology for the Surgical Technologist, its probably a bacteria, and it doesn't sound harmful.

White chunks in back of throat w/ sour taste in mouth??

i've found white chunks in the back of my throat (which make me throw up as soon as i see them), and my boyfriend said he's noticed lately i taste a bit sour when he kisses me.
*the white chunks kinda look (and feel) like clumps of cheese.
**usually i notice the chunks in the morning when i brush my teeth. but it's also happened at night ;( and it's always at the very back of my throat so even if i gargle it wont come out. only throwing up will get it out.

Bad taste in back of throat after vomiting.....?

the cause is stomach acid irritating the back of your throat.

drinking a glass of water should wash most of it back down.

you can throw up water, i've thrown up water i've drunk whilst hungover, but it is painless. alot of the time if you put off drinking water for fear of throwing it up again, you will throw up later and it can be unpleasent because your stomach tires to force stomach lining, bile etc. up and only a little comes up each time (discusting, i know).

drinking a glass of water after you're sick is good habit to get into you'll need rehydrated and to wash acid off your throat. sip it slowly, even if it comes back up later you've saved yourself puking solely bile & lining which is nasty.

Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT Medical Specialty): Why do I have a sour taste in the back left portion of my mouth when swallowing after waking up in the morning?

It is not possible to determine the cause of your problem without a dentist or an ENT specialist examining you. However, here are few things that might cause your issue:1. Decayed molar: tooth carries are caused by bacteria, and these bacteria release byproducts that are mostly acidic (when they're consuming carbohydrates). Volatile sulfur compounds (VSCs) are also released when proteins are digested by some of the oral bacteria. VSCs are the main cause of halitosis (bad breath). An alteration of taste usually accompanies large carries because the cavity is big enough for food debris to be lodged inside, making a great home for more bacteria.2. Third molar pericoronitis:  which is inflammation (and subsequent infection) of area of the gingival that covers an erupting third molar. Third molar pericoronitis usually affects people in their late teens to mid twenties. The inflammation is usually caused by trauma and trapped food debris which act as base for bacteria to multiply and release byproducts of their metabolism.  The same happens here as in “1” afterwards.3. Sinusitis: an infection to the sinuses could cause postnasal drip (PND). PND is usually accompanied by halitosis, which in turn can alter your sense of taste. If I were you, I would visit my dentist; it won’t hurt to have your mouth checked out by an expert. If he/she cannot find any dental problem, then you should consult and ENT specialist.
