What Comes To Mind When You Watch This - And What

What comes to your mind when you watch this?

Poor guy..... he should have been left alone.

As you watch a wedding, what comes to your mind that you wish you could tell the bride and groom at that moment?

I see the love-light shining from the groom’s eyes as they exchange heartfelt vows… so much so that it feels like interrupting something sacred to watch it.I see the tears flow as they are so acutely aware of how God brought them together across multiple states, in a way only He could, and how thankful they are to have each other.I see the hope and commitment and determination to love and cherish and honor and spoil and give to each other. And I wish I could tell them that those moments will be so fleeting. And that’s okay.Real life will hit. Children may come. Sickness. Jobs. Long days and short nights. Hard times. Mundane life that sucks the joy from you.And that intense shining from the eyes of a groom who can’t kiss his bride yet but is telegraphing to her how much he wants to as soon as that part of the ceremony arrives… that doesn’t shine across the dinner table five years later when they discuss who’s dropping which child where and how soon they should have an alignment done on which car.Nor does the “whatever-you-say-dear” radiant joy of the bride. It’s gone, replaced by a careful woman trying to balance toddler tantrums with listening to her husband think out loud until they give up and just go do their own thing. And that’s okay.So what would I tell them?Don’t be afraid of the future. Don’t let reality scare you. That passionate love-light and optimism is so real. So is the commitment. But we are human. And we won’t live up to our ideals in every way.But he can still take out the nasty-smelling trash and stop the toddler attitudes for her. And she can brush the messy Mommy bun before creating an identical messy Mommy bun when he’s coming home from work. And that’s real life. And it’s okay. But cherish those idyllic moments!

What thought comes in your mind whenever you watch MTV Roadies auditions?

What film first comes to mind if you hear the word "watch"?

Thx for the A2A…There are a few that spring to mind immediately. If you mean “watch” as a verb, Peeping Tom directed by Michael Powell in 1960 is the first one I think of. A thriller/horror story about a serial killer who films his kills with a home movie camera, Powell made it appear that the audience was watching at least a portion of each murder through the viewfinder of the killer’s camera. The implication being that the audience is the one using the camera. They are no longer passively watching a movie; they are voyeurs actively participating in the crime. Also the film begins with an extreme close up of an eye, filling the screen. The eye opens and looks out into the audience looking left, then right… seeming to look right at each person in the audience, and suddenly the screen goes black. This puts the audience in a unique position— no longer an anonymous watcher in the dark, they are the ones being “watched.”Others in the same vein (voyeurism is a plot device) include Blow Up, Rear Window, and sex, lies, and videotape. If you mean watch as a physical object…The Phantom Tollbooth with the aptly named “Tock” — a “watchdog” with a giant watch on his back legAny Sherlock Holmes or Hercule Poirot moviePulp Fiction used a pocketwatch as a prominent propMany “007” films have gadgets built into Bond’s watch & the watches become iconic style pieces to bootThose are the first “word association” responses I had to your question.

What comes to your mind when you think of Turkey?

Not really good.. depending on who you ask. Many people are generally not fond of Turkey and its people because of the history, but gladly watch turkish soap operas. The Ottomab era had an impact on cuisine, culture and even language. Some say that there are more than 10.000 turkish loan words in Serbian language. Serbia was under the Ottomans for 500 years if i am correct. I personally view Turkey positively, and many people i know do. I knew many people who went to Turkey on their holidays during summer.

What are the first thoughts that come to your mind when you watch some foreigner walking on your nation's streets?

I am living in Chennai which is neither my home town nor it is in my home state. Though I like Chennai relative to many other cities, I feel hard sometimes, to live all alone here which is never my home. The same way, when ever, I see a foreigner in Chennai, let him be African, Chinese, Nepalis, I feel empathy on him.The first thing that comes to my mind is a question “How they are able to live here when I myself find it difficult at times, to be in my own country and 700 miles apart from home? How they are able to survive in such a diversified nature?”
