Good Websites?

so i like websites that can teach me interesting junk. how-to sites, common knowledge i may have missed, not so common knowledge, peculiar news... alot of sites i run into are really stupid and start listing lame trivia facts and stuff that just isnt all that interesting. i dont want to here about stuff that isnt useful. im looking for things that make me think--that i can apply. those of u who also spend too much time surfing the web and being frustrated with all the useless junk taking up space prob kinda get wat i mean. my interests are actually really wide, so im just looking for lots of suggestions here. tell me ur fav finds that i may not know of. thanks much!!!

What do you remember most vividly about your childhood bedroom?

I tried to find a picture but.. no luck :(It had blue carpet, green walls, yellow ceiling, purple trim and window coverings, and a purple/blue/green/orange comforter on the bed. The walk in closet was orange.(Combine these images and somehow add MORE color!):It was amazing and colorful, but here’s what I remember most vividly:My Mom. Tirelessly painting day after day- I remember seeing her with a paint roller and neck craned up trying to paint the ceiling yellow. Coming home from school and the walls were taped as she took a paintbrush with purple to all the trim. Seeing her with her sewing machine making the purple window coverings day after day.My Mom. Coming home from a long day of work and then working even more to give me the BEST room a kid could ask for. And here’s the thing: we only lived there for about 3 years. It was a rental. But that didn’t stop my mom! She was determined to give me the best room I could imagine, taking me to the paint store and never judging my insane, stroke-inducing color scheme ;)I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: If I could be just 1/10th the woman and mother that my Mom is, it would be my proudest achievement.
