What Did My Dad Mean When He Said This To Me

WHY IS MY DAD SO MEAN to me?

Mean? You mean like grounding, curfews, not letting you take the car etc.? Well, there are a couple ways to answer that. First of all, yes, your father may actually be "mean", but I doubt it. Second, YOU could just be a rebellious teenager who doesn't like restraint, I find this answer more likely. The third answer is probably the most likely one, it's a mixture of the two. A stricter than average father mixed with a slightly rebellious teenager. I would tell you how to deal, but that would require another question.

Why is my dad so mean to me??!?

@Austin

lol, i don't know why you're having a rage over my question chill out..
yeah i looked at your picture, tbh you look like frikin Micheal jackson. :o
You're 16 and a parent? is that supposed to my fault?
Maybe keep your little worm in your pants next time?
I'm sorry you don't have a dad, But that doesn't make me a "b*tch" or whatever, because my dad yells at me, and calls me names everyday now does it? It doesn't. I'd rather have no dad, then a dad that makes my life harder huh?
Don't come on here acting like it's my fault you don't have a dad, get over yourself. my god.

Is my Dad really mean?

Lets just use yesterday as an example.
He walks through the door, usually in a grumpy mood.
I run up to him try to hug him he says "NO!",
he walks throught the loundgroom sees my plate which I left there and a magazine. He then yells "What is this **** all over the house!"
He also was meant to take me to the drive in that day but he said he couldnt be bothered.
Then this morning my mum tells me that were not going to move to this new house we were looking forward too because my Dad doesnt want too.
I can appreciate the fact that he doesnt want to move there. But does he have to cancel as soon as we have taken the money out of the bank and put our house up for sale and after I've organised my term based upon moving there :(
He's disappointed me so many times... I remember when i was around 6 he promised he would take me to a french resaurant. He kept postponing it and now im 14 and we still havent gone, and the restaurant we were going to go to just closed,

My dad doesnt work that much so it's not cause he's stressed, he works 9am to 5pm 5 days a week. It's not that hard.
He also tells me that I dont care about my school while i am having 3-5 hours of sleep every night since I started the term. Working my A$$ off!

So tell me please, is he mean?

I said mean things to my dad and now he hates me?

ok he said some mean things to me but i dont care about that i didnt mean to hurt him i was just very very upset becus he was yelling at my mom because my sister ran who is 19 got mad because when he bought dinner he forgot she was living with us again and she snidely commented about it AFTER she got done eating her dinner she brought from her old place the night before wich was fish and greens but anyways dad yelled at my mom about it and if its one thing im about its family if my mom yells at dad i get upset if dad yells at mom i get upset if someone outa family yells at family i get into a fighting mood but for some reason i got into a fighting mood with my dad last night when he yelled at my mom i think it has something to do with my sis cus we rarely fought when it was just me mom and dad living here but she moves in and we almost duke it out and i practicly rip his heart out and feed it to the dogs with my words.i feel terrible, and he says im 18 next yr and im kicked out becus it

What did Jesus mean when he said, "Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God."?

You are referring to John 20:17 (NKJV) Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, 'I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and [to] My God and your God.' "The word for touch or cling means to attach yourself to. Mary Magdalene was frantically looking for Jesus. His body was not where they left it. Then this person she thought to be a gardener comes and finally she realizes it’s Jesus. So she grabs Him, happy to see Him well after such a horrible beating and death just 3 days earlier.Jesus wants her to go tell the others that He is alive. He had not yet ascended, meaning he would be spending another 40 days on earth teaching and preaching before finally going to sit at the right hand of the Father in Heaven. It was time to proclaim to all people that Jesus is alive, not cling to Him and keep the good news to yourself.

My dad just called me dry, what does he mean?

Without context, it’s hard to say for sure. The two most obvious answers that come to mind are:You have a dry personality. This means you are overly serious, don’t have a sense of humour, and tend to be almost robotic and emotionless in your approach to life. To many people, this is an insult. Although, in all fairness, if you are intending to be serious and unemotional, it’s just a statement of fact. You have a dry sense of humour. This means that you like jokes that are delivered in a serious tone of voice, often clever or witty plays on words. (Both when you’re telling jokes and hearing/enjoying them yourself.) The British are generally considered to have a dry sense of humour, wherein much of the comedy is witticisms traded back and forth. This is simply a statement of the type of comedy you prefer, and isn’t an insult — to be honest, I’d take it as a compliment. But then I have a very dry sense of humour.
