Help on a harry potter/j.k rowling project...?
I don't know what exactly you mean by diagram of JK Rowling, so I am going to answer as though you just mean some sort of visual aid. One thing I really like about JKR is the way she communicates with her fans and the messages she gives them through her website. In her "journal entries" and the other comments she posts she gives her fans good advice and is a good role model. The thing that is coming to my mind right now is a entry she made encouraging young girls not to get caught up in the current craze of being super thin and stressing something to the effect that what people remember or notice about is isn't whether you have perfect nails, but if you are intelligent or down to earth. So maybe an idea could be to print out a bunch of those and paste them into a journal of "correspondence with fans" to show her involvement and interest in their well being. It is something very unique about her, and i think it is something worth illustrating.

First of all: Relax. College and dental school will be plenty stressful, so if I were you I really would really focus on enjoying high school and not worry about your grades. That being said, your current statistics suggest that you have a great possibility of becoming a dentist. The reason that only 46% are accepted is that a lot of unqualified people are applying. People with no extracurricular in college and 2.8 GPAs think that they can qualify. Here is what you need to do. In terms of courses the perquisites are: 2 semesters biology, 2 semesters chemistry, 2 semesters organic chemistry, 2 semesters physics. Any major will cover the non-science prerequisites. However, to be a competitive applicant, you really should take as many of the following courses as possible: Biochemistry, Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Cell Biology, Genetics, Microbiology. Not all, but most of the people that are accepted have taken these courses, so you probably should too. Plus these classes are going to prepare you to do well on the DAT and in school. I would suggest getting a BS in biology, that will cover all of the required and recommended courses by dental schools. Also, I would suggest involving yourself in scientific research and shadowing/ interning with dentists as much as possible. Personally, I had hundreds of hours of experience with dentist and volunteer work. I would also recommend giving back to the community through volunteering, dental schools will want to know that you are compassionate. Also, make an effort to participate in activities that are not directly non-related to science or dentistry. This will show that you are a well rounded person. Good luck. I think the chances are slim to none. You need to find out the minimum GPA for dental schools you are interested in and then contact them and what you can do to mitigate a low GPA. A low GPA with a great backstory, a perfect DAT, and lots of extracurriculars and volunteer work might do it. For Loma Linda Dental School, just to use it as an example, they "recommend" a 3.3 science GPA. No grade in any class can be lower than a C. http://www.llu.edu/dentistry/admissions/... It's unlikely they will take a "C" at Yale as the same as an "A" at Western Connecticut State. They just don't weight GPAs like that. If you don't hit the minimums, pretty much nothing you do now will help, other than retaking classes and pulling your grades up. If you are at the minimum, or there isn't a minimum, only a recommended, then you work on acing the DAT, you procure AMAZING references, you get involved with projects (research projects at school, serious volunteer work, high level sports), and you have a TON of shadowing hours. Otherwise, you'll need to wait 5 years for your classwork to expire and start again.
